HTTP_POST system failure after ECC6.0 upgrade

Background: We were on 4.6C till 05/20/2010 and successfully using HTTP_POST method for transmitting XML file to an external server.
We upgraded our SAP system to ECC 6.0. Nothing changed in our Z program that does the HTTP_POST.
After the upgrade, HTTP_POST is returning "System Failure" message. Upon debugging, this is what we are seeing:
connection to partner 'loopback:0' broken / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' : cmRc=20 thRc=223#CPIC program connection ended (read erro
Our Basis person has turned on all services.
We checked the logs in the external server and it's not receiving any communication from SAP using HTTP_POST.
Any insights will be really beneficial. Thank you.

  • Poor System performance after EHP4 upgrade

    Hello Experts,
We have just finished our Upgrade to EHP4 for ECC6 system. After the upgrade we are noticing awfully slow system response time.
My SGEN is currently executing and it's showing another 45 hours before it is finished.  Are there specific post Upgrade activities that I am missing? Once I try to perform some action it takes ages to compile the program. I undesratand that since SGEN is not run yet so it will need some time to compile and generate load for the application but still the response is takinng agaes before I see the actual Application/Program active in GUI.
Please suggest what I can do to boost up my system performance.
    Thanks,

    Hi Sunny,
    Another Update
I looked at SAP Note 146289 - Parameter Recommendations for 64-Bit SAP Kernel
    Following is the recommnedation:
Implement the SAP profile parameters as follows:
    em/initial_size_MB 1024 up to 1TB (note 835474)
    em/blocksize_KB 2048, 4096 or 8192 (note 835474)
    ztta/roll_first 1
    ztta/roll_area 6500000
The deafult value of the following parameters is 2000000000 (2GB).
They can be changed depending on the HW (RAM) and the configured
    SWAP Space:
    ztta/roll_extension 2000000000 (2GB)

  • GR\IR Assgt in ME23N after ECC6 upgrade

    Hi All,
We have recently upgraded our system from SAP R3 4.7 to SAP ECC 6.0. After the upgrade we have noticed an issue in the GR\IR functionality of ME23N.
When we open a PO History in ME23N and view the GR\IR Assgt view the GRs and IRs are no longer matched together as they used to do in 4.7
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so have they been able to solve it?
    Regards,
    Colm

    Hi Colm,
Please check note 1413324 is implemented in your system.
You will than not have any sums anymore. The sums in the GR/IR
asignment were taken out in the standard, since they did not
reflect the desired result. It would be desired to have the sum of
GR minus the sum of IR for to see, wether there are derivations.
The sum of GR plus IR does not make sence.
The problem is, that with the ALV grid, it is not posible to substract
the invoices from the goods receipts without multiplying one of them
by minus 1. Furthermore it is neither posible to multiply by minus 1
only for the calculation. So, if we deliver a usefull sum, this would
mean negative invoice values in the history screen.
This is why we only offer the sums by a modification note. This is
note 1275531. This unfortunately is a Pilot note.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Evaluation Path Results change after ECC6 Upgrade

    Hi All,
We have upgraded to ECC6 up to and including our QA environment. We are running an old java version of the MSS team viewer. We have a custom evaluation path, a modified version of SAP_MANG (Z_MANG) that we have been using for years. After upgrade any view that involves an organization is showing duplicates...
    Example of output
    Organization 1
    Person 1
    Person 2
    Organization 1
    Person 1
    Person 2
Our Z_MANG Evaluation Path looks like this...
No     Obj. Typ.     A/B     Relat     Relat Name      Priority     Relat Obj Typ     Skip
    10      *                 B         008       Holder              *               S                        X
    20      S                A         012       Manages...      *               O
    21      S                A         Z01      Salary Budg     *               *
    22      S                A         Z02      HR Manages    *               *
    30      US             A          208      Is Identical to    *               *                         X
Only when we skip No 21 Salary Budg is the problem resolved. Has anyone run into problems after upgrade to ECC60 that the results for an exting evaluation path have changed like this?
    Thanks,
    Doug

not all relationships represent physical data records in the database.  some are derived and without looking at the system, I believe the US 208 to P is a derived relationship.
Are you sure all the users you are testing with have a proper sy-uname setup for all respective pernrs in PA0105?

  • Cisco 3750 ping failures after stack upgrade

I just updated my 4 stack of 3750X switches from 12.x IOS to 15.0.2 IOS. Only 2 of them updated correctly the first time, I had to manually update to the other 2. After getting all of them upgrade I restarted the entire stack.
After that I cannot get PCs not on my default VLAN to talk to their DHCP servers or ping anywhere in the network. I get a "PING: transmit failed. General failure". I can however, ping into my default vlan from the switch and ping out to other locations from the switch.
    I've tried the following:
Checking firewall status on several (WIN 7) pc's, it's off
Changing ports on switch (no change)
    Restarting the PC (no change)
    Release/renew ipconfig (no change)
    flushdns (no change)
    clear ARP table on switch
set un-set spanning-tree portfast (no change)
check interface status (up and up)
check vlan interface status (up and up)
    changed vlans (no change)
checked VLAN help addresses (still there)
Any help at this point is appreciated as my network is entirely down right now.

I can set my laptop statically to a VLAN address, and I can ping out, get to the internet, ping between VLANs, etc. But if I just set a port (or leave it in the default VLAN) it will give me the “PING: transmit failed. General failure.” DHCP requests still aren’t getting fulfilled and even pings won’t go through if there’s not a statically set address. Nothing changed on my server configs and I even restarted my DHCP servers after encountered this problem. My guess is this is a new feature that’s turned on by default in the new IOS that needs to be disabled. Any help is appreciated.

  • App failure after OS upgrade- support options? PSE-6 Prem-4

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 and it's companion video app, Adobe Premiere 4.0, and I run MS Vista HP.
I recently updated my operating system to Service Pack 2 (SP2). When the upgrade was installed, as usual there were many glitches that needed tweaking, but the worst was my Adobe apps. Both of the above named apps, came back with the same error "cannot start, reinstall program".
After the initial error message, future attempts to start either app were not answered. Nothing happened. Reviewing the status in Task Manager showed that the apps were both running, but neither was actually visible or operating, just eating memory while standing idle.
After reviewing the forums and knowledge bases and finding nothing on this problem, I contacted Adobe Support via Chat (the only method available) and after a long drawn out process of locating my registrations for these apps, I was told that I had  to back to  the original retailer where I bought them, several years before. The only other option was of course to BUY the latest versions from Adobe. Even if I had any recollection of where i bought it, I can only imagine how that conversation would go! The original disks were 'somewhere' but I just moved and lord only knows where they were put until all is unpacked! One would think if one had the serial numbers, that downloads or better yet, repair files, would be available to registered users, but NO!
My original software worked fine, so no reason to spend more money in this economy, I just needed to get them working to finish a project with a deadline rapidly approaching. As I was working with PSD files, no other application would help me finish my project, so I had to get something. Perusing the Adobe website I found the trial versions of Adobe PSE 8.0 and Premiere 6.0! Great, I thought, this should work to finish my project and hopefully I would find my original software before the expiration date of the trial software!
With ever faithful 'Murphy' standing by for the install, I got the message "Trial period expired. Please enter serial number". This happened with both apps, and the only thing I could figure s that I probably downloaded these before and there was some embedded snitch file that would not allow me to run it again. But... Murphy must have gone out for coffee, because in a moment of inspiration, I went back to my original apps and clicked on the icons... You guessed it, both apps were restored to full operation!
So this is why I am writing this to the forum. I found a fix that Adobe either does not know, or won't tell. Whatever files went missing or corrupted during my upgrade were re-installed into the Adobe 'common' folder, restoring my original apps. If these files could be identified by Adobe techs, they could be made available for download to repair these issues without the run-around, and without making customers spend more money, the mark of a reputable software manufacturer.
The only thing I do  not know for sure, and until I find my original disks I do not intent to investigate, is whether or not the original apps will continue to function if I uninstall the trial versions to get my disk space back,s they do not work and only take up space. I will investigate the Adobe folders and see if I can identify which files were installed with the trials, and if they may be affected by an uninstall. Sometimes the uninstaller apps are intuitive enough to know that certain files are in use by another application, and will not be included in the uninstall. But I am not going to test this theory until find my original disks!
Please pass this info on to your friends who use MS Vista and PSE 6.0 & Prem 4.0

    It's Ok.
    Now I have:
    $ cat /etc/issue
    Oracle Linux Server release 6.4
    No any problem.

  • Unicode conversion phase after ECC6 Upgrade

    Hello guros,
We have successfuly completed the upgrade from ECC5 to ECC6 EHP4.
Part of our full upgrade plan is to also convert the system to a unicode compliant system.
I assume something went wrong during the DB export , because now many entries that are supposed to be in hebrew in our database tables appear like gibberish (Its a trial system - dont worry).
What I find weird about these occurances is that within such a table, some lines appear fine and even some rows appear fine in hebrew , whereas others dont.
Let's take the system user table for example:
    (USER, NAME , SURNAME, ADDRESS).
    USER1 | שלום | עליכם | יקרים |
    USER2 | %%$% | אלי | #$$%#$ |
    USER3| #$%#$% | $##%$#%| $#%#$$%%#
    Unresolved symbols represnt gibberish.
Is there  something that we might have missed?
    Thanks in advance, Udi.

    > Let's take the system user table for example:

    >
    > USER1 | שלום | עליכם | יקרים |
    > USER2 | %%$% | אלי | #$$%#$ |
    > USER3| #$%#$% | $##%$#%| $#%#$$%%#
I would say that those entries were not correctly specified in your vocabulary as being Hebrew - OR
Addresses have another speciality, they have a "creation language" field (LANGU_CREA). That field may be wrong filled if you e. g. create the user with an english logon and then change the user data to Hebrew (with Hebrew characters). The entry in the LANGU_CREA field however stays english. If you use that field now to decide the conversion of the addresse it will be converted wrong and you see gibberish.

  • SAP_MANG Evaluation Path not working for MSS after ECC6 Upgrade

    Hello All,
We are upgrading to ECC6 and still using an older version of the java/HTMLB MSS Business Package. We are seeing strange results in the vacancy request overview iview (team viewer like component)  which is using a view driven by SAP_MANG Evaluation Path.
    SAP_MANG looks like this...
    10 * B 008 * S
    20 S A 012 * O
    30 US A 208 * P
    Our View is ZRCPOS using...
    Eval Path - SAP_MANG
    Eval Objects - O_NACH_S
    Initial Evaluation Depth - 3
    Column Group - ZRC_VACREQ_OV
    Header Type - RC_VAC_HEADER
The iview is meant for position maintenance and should show a dropdown of orgs. When an org is selected a list of positions/holders is shown to modify, delimit, etc. The problem is that in the dropdown "Select organizational unit to display positions" instead of...
    Test Org 1
    Test Org 2
    We have...
    Test User1
    Test Org 1
    Test Org 2
...so the user us shown as an org. Right off I suspected the upgrade to MSS 60.1.22 (the newest version of the old Business Package) so I installed the older versions of the components and the actually still worked but also showed this condition. So I have ruled out the java side as a source of the problem.
Looking at HRP1001 I see the following relationships among suspect objects.
    Object P 1234567 to Object S 9876543 via B008
    Object S 1234567 to Object O 9876543 via A012
no relationships US to P via A208
Given the Eval Path above, does anyone have any idea why this would display this way or have a suggested approach to solve.
    Thanks,
    Doug

Is there any solution apart from downgrading? It's a big problem for me, cause I'm often using my laptop on batteries.

Looks like some magic (i.e., simple full system restart) helped. After that ACPI looks normal. Some errors still are in dmesg, but seemingly not critical.

  • System failure after recent update.

Hello. I just ran pacman -Syu on one of my systems and now the console screen resolution is down to low (default linux not what Arch is normally set to) and the network won't come up.
journalctl -xe gives the error of

Job sys-subsystem-net-devices-enp5s0.device/start timed out <- Internal eth0 card.

    ~ # reboot

Fairly I didn't set up anything in the tty, it's the same setting Arch boots from CD so I always thought it just takes it from default settings.
BTW I just found, that the pacman cache has two versions of the Linux kernel 3.18 and 3.19 but only one version of linux-api-headers which is the same sub as that of the working kernel: 3.18.
Could this cause the problem that there is no 3.19 kernel headers or are they not simultaneously updated with the kernel?
As for the bugtrack link you gave, I don't know if it's related. In the comments they say its possible to load the module but then after a short connection time it went down, however in my case it does not get loaded at all as I see in journalctl -b

  • Powerbook G4 17" motherborard failure after RAM upgrade???

Thank you in advance for any advice.
I have an original, first generation PB G4 17" that I've used for 5 years. Recently, I had to replace the AC supply because the former one was bent when the laptop fell out of a chair. When I took it in to an authorized dealer here in Taiwan, to test the power adapter, I decided to upgrade the RAM from 1GB to 2 GB. Before I brought it home, it seemed to work at the store, although I thought I did not appreciate any performance boost when I opened multiple apps. Anyway, after I got home, I tried to turn it on, but it would not turn on. Thinking the battery was depleted, I hooked it up to the new AC adapter (Apple brand), and lo and behold it would not boot. I would shut it down by pressing the on/off button or just disconnect the power source (adapter and battery). It started to beep three times after multiple attempts. I took it back to the store, and got my original RAM reinstalled, and the same three beeps occured. I just got a call from the service center and was told that the motherboard has failed. Does any of this make sense? I have never had any trouble like this prior to the RAM upgrade. I just replaced the HD about 6 months ago. I'm just sick to my stomach...Any suggestions? Any input would be much appreciated.

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
We could discuss how you'd benefit from the additional memory, however, since the system isn't working, let's focus on the beeps.
When you start the system, it goes through some tests (called the power on self test or POST) before loading the operating system. If it finds any errors, it beeps, and the beeps are:
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
3 beeps means it doesn't find any memory that passes the POST test. The fact that this started up after the service center installed the memory upgrade is suspicious, however, if it worked in the store then stopped working later, it may just be unfortunate timing.
There are some company's on the internet that claim they can repair the logic boards, otherwise, Apple's solution is to replace them. In the US, some Apple stores offer a 'fix everything' service for $350, which is less than specifically replacing the logic board - perhaps there is a similar service in Taiwan.

First, please use [ code ] tags around system output.
Second, why on earth would you run "pacman -S kernel26"?  Luckily pacman seems smart enough to translate kernel26 to linux, but you should not try to install a new kernel without updating everything else.
When was the last time you ran "pacman -Syu"?

Everything was fine until I upgraded from 10.7 to 10.9, now runs like a dog.
It'll work for a few seconds, and then stops for twice as long with the BBOD, then it comes to life again.
    Any ideas would be fabulous.
    Thanks in advance

    It's probably:
    Virtual Box
Logmein (note the failed launch agent, which means it was incompatible, and that it loads a ton of background processes)
and Perian isn't supported by the developer anymore.
The Google keystone daemon is known for slowing down macs with excessive phoning home. See  HOWTO: Remove Google Software Update on Mac OS X - Raam Dev
    I'd uninstall those for starters.
And I'd get rid of as many of the other background processes as you can.
4 GB of RAM is probably not enough with all this stuff running all the time, particularly with emulation software. You can never have too much RAM.
A quick way to test this theory is a safe boot: (restart, hold down shift until you see the Apple logo). This does some diagnostic testing and then starts up without third-party added on software.   Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
