Https port 443 access

Hi,
Has anyone managed to successfully open port 443 on their HH3 with Infinity, port 80, 22 etc seems fine, but 443 will not open.  Type B HH3 and no problems with ports before

Hi Neo_fox
There was advice posted on this port before.  Check out this link and let me know how you get on.
Cheers

  • How to Direct open Website link to https: ( port 443)

In my web server i host website on port 443 using SSl certificate. when my user try to access this website they nee to put manually address like https://siteneme..? how to open this website direct without type https

You can configure a redirection from http to https so that when the user types www.contoso.com it will get redirected to https://www.contoso.com.
You can do that on your load balancer if you are using one or on the Website configuration.

  • HTTPS (port 443) for RVS4000 Router

    Hello All
I have two servers - one running MS exchange and the other running a crm platform and both must be access via https. On the router -I have bound https to one ip address and router refuses to accept the binding of the same port 443 to another ip address. I will appreciate any help I can get towards resolving this.
    The network diagram is attached.

    Hello!
Unfortunately it is not possible to have same port forwarded simultaneously to several internal IP addresses - just imagine even if this setting would be possible, how the router will know which request to which internal server to forward since the port where request was received is the same?
However, with RVS4000 you can do the following - use TCP 443 for server1 and let's say TCP 4443 for server2.
Let's assume that your servers have the following IP address assignement:
    Server1 - 192.168.8.100
    Server2 - 192.168.8.101
In RVS4000 go to Firewall -> Single Port Forwarding
Configure it as on the screenshot:
After that you can access from the Internet both servers using the following URL:
    Server1 - https://wan_ip_address
    Server2 - https://wan_ip_address:4443
Hope it will solve your problem!

  • Expressway E Port 443 access from Internet

According to Cisco documentation, 443 is one of the ports that should be opened from Internet towards the Expressway-E IP. If we do that, the web-administration becomes accessible from the internet.
Is there a way to disable web-administration access from Public Internet?

Thanks Manish. Your links talks about general security measures for the VCS-E. However, not specifically about blocking admin web-interface while still allowing Mobile and Remove Access (MRA) to work.
I'm sure there should be a way to allow web management interface only from the internal interface of VCS-E and block this from external interface. (Dual NIC)

  • Non-root user can't start Apache on port 443

Today I've been attempting to get SSL working for my Oracle Applications 11i (11.5.10.2) installation and I just hit a small problem. I've followed all of the Oracle literature I've come across, which instructed me to create a new (non-root) user to own the database tier and the applications tier. I've also followed the instructions for configuring SSL ([Doc 123718.1|https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:6976756808231635106::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,123718.1,1,1,1,helvetica]) and the SSL wizard in OAM defaults to the standard HTTPS port (443). However, because 443 is a privileged port, a non-root user cannot bind to it. In other words, the Oracle literature itself has led me to an impossible situation. This is what I see in the Apache error log:
[Fri May 15 15:05:03 2009] [crit] (13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to port 443
At this point, I see two choices:
    1. Run the application tier services as root.
    2. Change the SSL port to something greater than 1024 (i.e. 4443).
I'm leaning towards option #2, since option #1 negates the advantage of using a non-root user to begin with. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Does Oracle have any recommendations for this scenario?

    Hi,
You just need to start Apache as root (not all the application services). For Option 1, the application tier files should be owned by applmgr/oracle user (not root), and for Option 2, you do not need to change the port (though it is valid option). Just follow the steps in the following document.
Note: 356080.1 - How to run Apache on Port 80 in Apps 11i
    https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=356080.1
BTW, this is mentioned in the document "if you have chosen port 443 (or any port under 1024) for your SSL port, you will have to start Apache as root".

  • Unable to FInd HTTPS port in SMICM

    Hi,
I'am trying to work on HTTPS .When i check on SMICM->Goto->Services i'am unable to find HTTPS service.
    I did all this steps
    1. From SAPGUI, run rz10
    2. Add the parameter such as "PROT=HTTPS, PORT=443, TIMEOUT=9000" for icm/server_port_3.
You may use smcim->goto->parameters->display to check how many icm/server_port_<xx> already been defined and use next integer.
    3. Save and activate the changes
    4. Shutdown SAP system
    5. go to c:\usr\sap\<sid>\SYS\profile, copy the changes from default.pfl to default.
    6. Start SAP system.
but still i'am unable to find HTTPS service in SMICM.
Please guide me how to create this service.

  • Port 443

Is it possible to run iSQL*Plus only using Port 443/SSL? I receive the following
error whenever I do not listen for port 80 connections:
[Mon Sep 16 13:29:58 2002] [emerg] OPM: Could not find a valid non-ssl LISTEN ip
and port. The whole process exits.

[Mon Sep 16 13:29:58 2002] [alert] (2)No such file or directory: FastCGI: the PM
is shutting down, Apache seems to have disappeared - bye

    Alison,
Thanks for the reply. I think that the httpd.conf file is saying if you want both
types of connections (http and https) you have to listen for both types of connections.
We have other Apache web servers here that only allow https/port 443 connections and
only listen for those type of connections.
Maybe I should have asked my question a different way, is it possible configure
iSQL*Plus via the httpd.conf file (and other .conf files) so that FastCGI will
work with SSL connections? If not, is there a way to configure everything so that
the only non-SSL connections are between FastCGI and iSQL*Plus (i.e., no users can
connect to the web server without using and SSL connection)?
    Again, thanks for your help.
    Cecil,
After reading the httpd.conf (web server config file), I found this:
    # Port: The port to which the standalone server listens. Certain firewall
    # products must be configured before Apache can listen to a specific port.
    # Other running httpd servers will also interfere with this port. Disable
    # all firewall, security, and other services if you encounter problems.
    # To help diagnose problems use the Windows NT command NETSTAT -a
    Port 7778
    ## SSL Support
    ## When we also provide SSL we have to listen to the
    ## standard HTTP port (see above) and to the HTTPS port
    Listen 7778
    Listen 4443
It looks like you have to listen on a default port, as well as on an https port. iSQL*Plus doesn't actually care which port it is being called from as it is one step removed and has it's own (different) port connection to the web server.
Perhaps this is a question to research from the web server (essentially Apache) point of view? You could try the usenet newsgroups, the Metalink web site, or you could call Oracle Support.

  • How can I change HTTP port in J2EE

    Hi.
I installed Sneak Preview 640 and I want to change HTTP port for J2EE. (default port is 50000)
So, I started config tools and move to dispatcher -> service -> http -> port.
    There is port information.
    - Custom value : empty
    - Default value : (Port:80,SocketQueue:200,AcceptingThreadsCount:10,BindAddress:,Type:http)(Port:443,SocketQueue:200,AcceptingThreadsCount:10,BindAddress:,Type:ssl)
My first question is that default port is "80" in above confirguration. Why we use "50000" ?
Second question is that I changed custom value but It doesn't work. How can I change HTTP port ?
    Regards, Arnold.

you can use the "visual administrator" to set your http-port, too:
Dispatcher / Services / HTTP Provider / Ports

  • Access orther http ports with safari on iPad

How can i access pages with other http ports. Ex sistemas2.macae.rj.gov.br:82
    Thanks

    sistemas2.macae.rj.gov.br:82
That should work.  I confirmed it on my server using http on port 84.
Are you sure that the server is working and you have access?  When I tried the example you gave, I get access denied.

  • When accessed from Firewall, the OSB WSDL is inserting schemalocation with HTTP port instead of HTTPS

We have OSB service and we are able to access over firewall. Also the WSDL, Schemas etc., But when we external users access the WSDL, they are not able to get complete content i.e schemas are not imported.
Reason is WSDL has http (<import schemaLocation="http://test.com:80/xxxxxx/Proxy/schema") with port no 80 instead of https (<import schemaLocation="https://test.com/xxxxxx/Proxy/schema") .
Since we don't specify the complete schema location in WSDL, how does WSDL include the complete schema path? And how to change it https path instead of http?

    Namaste,
    Sorry for the delayed response.
Yet, my one query is not answered.
Q:Are you ABLE to get the Desired path in Endpoint URL(https) as well?
    Explanation:
What I mean is, When the external users access the WSDL (I am assuming External Users are able to access WSDL through Firewall),
As you have mentioned that XSD imports have HTTP instead of HTTPS, but how about the soap:address location? Even this points to HTTP instead of HTTPS?
    (Ex:
    <wsdl:service name="CaduceusSiteService">
        <wsdl:port name="site_pt" binding="tns:site_pttBinding">
<soap:address location="https://www.test.com/test123"/>    ---> is this HTTP or HTTPS?
        </wsdl:port>
    </wsdl:service>
BTW, did you set, HTTP Transport Configuration --> HTTPS required parameter to "YES"? (This is a prerequisite).
We had a similar issue, where we had HTTP instead of HTTPS when WSDL accessed from Firewall.
However, after lot of struggle, we got it worked after changing Firewall (MS TMG) settings to support for "text/xml".
I think, it could be the same settings needed to done in your case too. Please do check the firewall settings.

  • Cannot add https 443 access ...

    Hi,
I would like to configure the reporting web to use https: via 443 port but it just cannot bind and not success...
Where I can check the error or please further advice ...
    Thanks

    Hi kkcci88888,
Based on my understanding, you want to configure an report server URL as https:// with 443 port. After you move certificates to the trusted certificates, then you get a WinProviderException now.
In Reporting Services, when configuring a report server URL, we should issue a certificate and enroll it on report server. In your scenario, I would like to know have you created a self-signed certificate in IIS manager. If that is a case, based on my test,
the certificate will display on the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab when opening certmgr.msc. In your scenario, you should change the report server URL back to the original one in RSCM, then configure the SSL identities for report server again.
About creating a report server URL as https://, please refer to this article:
A step-by-step example of configuring a reporting services point for HTTPS in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • Non SSL website on port 443

Hi, I have a non-SSL website running on port 443. When I access this website using Chrome or IE it works just fine, but Firefox can't seem to accept what I have done. All browsers on the same machine and using the same web proxy.
I access the website as http://xyz:443.
Just a bit of background info as to why I need this. Where I work I can only access ports 443 and 80 via the web proxy. I have two distinct websites running on a couple of devices at home behind a very config-wise limited router which has ports 80 and 443 redirected to these hosts. There is no way for me to setup two port forward rules on port 80 to two different devices. I cannot setup SSL on either of the websites.
Regardless of options that could exist to overcome my particular issue, I would like to check if you guys know how to make Firefox work with a website running on port 443 whilst not having a certificate assigned to it.
    Firefox 32.0.3
    Error message:
    The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

What type of ssl are you running? [https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-ssl-3-0/]
You can somehow remove the Strict-Transport-Security header or if there is a feature that forced encryption but by default https uses 443 for encryption. I do not know if this is possible.

  • SSL and webcache on defaut https port

I have followed the note 338071.1 to configure Discoverer 10g (10.1.2) Plus/Viewer For HTTPS (SSL) Access.
Now I can access to the OEM in https, only if I put the port 4446
    https://checlas01:4446/
If I use https://checlas01 the server return an error message (No Response from Application Web Server)
The port 443 is setted in the webcache to redirect website with port numer 4446 (As described in the howto)
    What's wrong ?
    Thx

When you try to access https://checlas01 then this assumes that there is something listening on port 80 for this. Try if https://checlas01:443 works, if so then your webcache is probable working as you set it up. To access https://checlas01, you will have to set up a virtual server which is accessible under port 80 and also add the site and the site to server mapping in the web cache.
