Https webservcie call redirection from Apache2 to weblogic throws error

Dear Sir,
I have prob in invoking webservice deployed on WLS 10.3.4 through Apache2 server.
Below is setup on httpd-ssl.conf file in apache machine.
<VirtualHost 10.xx.xx.18:443>
<IfModule weblogic_module>
WebLogicCluster 10.xx.xx.30:8013
Debug ON
WLProxySSL OFF
DynamicServerList ON
WLLogFile /tmp/weblogic_ssl.log
WLTempDir /tmp
WLIOTimeoutSecs 1800
DebugConfigInfo ON
</IfModule>
<Location /TestApp>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
</Location>
<Location /TestWebService>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
</Location>
</VirtualHost>
ProxyPreserveHost On
ProxyRequests Off
SSLProxyEngine On
The web app (TestApp) is working fine when invoking https protocol.
But for the web service(TestWebService) when invoking using https protocol, it throws the below error:
AxisFault

• JNDI lookup from OC4J to weblogic throws javax.naming.NameNotFoundException

Hi All,
We have the below setup in our production environment.
EJB application is deployed in the Weblogic 10.3.4.0 Server on Sun Solaris. The EJB version is 3.0
OC4J 10.2.0 is running on another Sun Solaris machine.
There are 2 webservice applications WEBSERV1 & TestSoapEJB running on this OC4J container.
We need to do lookup the EJBs deployed on the Weblogic server. For this we used the below logic in the web service's Stateless session bean:
String weblogicURL = "";
Properties props = new Properties();
try
props.load(Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResourceAsStream("wl.properties"));
weblogicURL     = props.getProperty("weblogicURL");
catch (FileNotFoundException e)
e.printStackTrace();
catch (IOException e)
e.printStackTrace();
Context ctx = null;
Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
ht.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
ht.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL,"weblogic");
ht.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS,"weblogic654");
ht.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, weblogicURL);
ctx = NamingManager.getInitialContext(ht) ;
// tried using //ctx = new InitialContext(ht); same behavior.
TestEJB.AdministratorEJB ejb = (TestEJB.AdministratorEJB) ctx.lookup("TestEJB#TestEJB.AdministratorEJB");
ctx.close();
When we first test first WEBSER1, the lookup is fine.
But when we test the second webservice WEBSER2, the webservice name itself not able to lookup: It gives the below error:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: remaining name: env/TestSoapEJB
Below is the stack throws thrown on browser:

It seems that, the OC4J is looking in Weblogic context. But it should be looking in its own context. How to resolve this issue.
The same case happens if i restart the OC4J and first test the TestSoapEJB the lookup is fine . But if i test the WEBSERV1 , it throws the same error as above. In short, if one of the webservices lookup is working fine, the other webservice is not working. At the same time only one webservice's lookup is working.
Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
regards,
Zia

I work now more that two days on this error!!!
-> I remade my complete jdev project, it did not work!
-> I deleted the jdev/system/j2ee/oc4j/workspace dir
-> I search for some .lock files
-> and many more tries!!! But without success...
Is there a way to reset the Embedded OC4J?

• Calling ctx_snippet() from non-owner user returns error

Hi,
I created a full text index in owner schema A for documents stored in BFILE datatype, and tested the snippet query, worked like dream.
The query is something like:
SELECT doc_id, ctx_doc.snippet('A.IDX_DUMMY',rowid,'keywords')
FROM A.documents
WHERE contains(document,'keywords')>0
But, when I run the same query from an application user, I got error:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
DRG-50857: oracle error in drstldef
ORA-22286: insufficient privileges on file or directory to perform FILEEXISTS
operation
ORA-06512: at "CTXSYS.DRUE", line 160
ORA-06512: at "CTXSYS.CTX_DOC", line 1297
ORA-06512: at line 1
If I SQL*Plus using application user account, and run DBMS_LOB programs, the document BFILEs can be accessed without any problem.
I also tried log in as sys, the query return the same error.
I also specifically give directory read privilege to application user, CTX_SYS, all did not work.
Any clue here?
Thx,
-Haijun

Solved!!!
The reason is that, initially, the directory read privilege was granted to index owner user as well as the non-owner user by sys as dba, without "with grant option"
Now, I grant directory read privilege to the index owner user "with grant option", then the index owner grant the privilege again to the non-owner user. Now, things work! The privilege flows through.
Thx,
-Haijun

• Calling Matlab from Labview returns a 1047 error - what am I doing wrong

above

Does your script work fine in MATLAB? Do you run a VI or an .exe?
MATLAB must be running, otherwise LabVIEW will be unable to access the MATLAB server. This will cause the 1047 error. Manually start MATLAB, and your program should run without the error.

• Read only user in weblogic throwing error messages in logs

Hi,
We have a requirement to create a read only user with monitor access.
our requirement is to monitor em console using moniotr user, i.e. this user will login to em console, monitor order flow from instances tab by entering order no. and dates, and logout from em console.
we have done below steps to create monitor user,
Admin Console->Security Realms >myrealm >Users and Groups-> new
created user Monitor_User_1 and assigned group as Monitors.
but whenever this user logs in or searches we are getting below error message:
<Sep 15, 2013 7:25:21 PM EST> <Warning> <oracle.jps.admin> <BEA-000000> <Access denied. Required roles: Operator, Admin, executing subject: principals=[Monitor_User_1, Monitors]
java.lang.SecurityException: Access denied. Required roles: Operator, Admin, executing subject: principals=[Monitor_User_1, Monitors]
we even did below steps:
With admin access login into EM Console. Select soa_infra, right click mouse -> Security -> Application Roles. On right side, click green arrow and see list of Roles shown. Select the role named SOAMonitors, click on this. And add a Monitor_User_1 to this.
but we are still getting same error.
Kindly let us know if we are missing something while creating monitor user and how to get rid of these messages.
Please note that we are already in Production and our log files are filled with these messages.

• Calling Javascript function in setOnBlur is throwing error

Hi ,
I have a requirement to open a popup window using javascript.I have tried to achieve this using the following code in the PR of that extended CO.
StringBuffer l_buffer = new StringBuffer();
StringBuffer l_buffer1 = new StringBuffer();
l_buffer.append("javascript:mywin = openWindow(top, '");
l_buffer1.append("/xxmas/oracle/apps/asn/custom/oppnameval/webui/XXMASNewOppPG");
l_buffer1.append("&retainAM=Y");
String url = "OA.jsp?page=";+l_buffer1.toString();
OAUrl popupUrl = new OAUrl(url, OAWebBeanConstants.ADD_BREAD_CRUMB_SAVE );
String strUrl = popupUrl.createURL(pageContext);
l_buffer.append(strUrl.toString());
l_buffer.append("', 'lovWindow', {width:750, height:550},false,'dialog',null);");
pageContext.putJavaScriptFunction("testonblur",l_buffer.toString());
OAMessageTextInputBean mcb1 =
(OAMessageTextInputBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("ASNOpptyCrteNm");
mcb1.setOnBlur("testonblur");
but while i am trying to open the page for the first time it is trying to open the javascript page as per the above coding and throwing "You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your System Administrator. " error.
Please suggest if i need to set any profile option to fix this issue.
I also want when the page will be loaded for the first time this javascript window will not be opened rather it should open when i will enter some value in the textinput bean (mcb1 in the above code) and will tab out of that field(i.e. when the textinput bean will loose focus).
Please note i can't use PPR to achieve the above functionality since client specifically wants this javascript and onblur API to be used.
Please help me out... this is an urgent requirement.
Thanks

I use the video type: Streaming Video in Captivate

When I click "Dismiss All" at the error box the video start to play ok. Any succeding videos in the project also plays without errors.
Any help would be much appreicated.
Thanks,

It turned out that it was one of the widgets that ships with Captivate 5 that caused the error.
The widget VividTextCaption.swf will throw an error on Adobe Connect 7.5
Maybe someone at Adobe would fix it for next update?

Hello,
You are mixing 2 separators in the URL : & and +
Use only one separator in the URL :
Example :

• SSRS dataset throws error when another stored procedure is called inside dataset stored procedure

Hello;
I am using Report Build 3.0, I have a simple report which gets data using dataset which is created from a Stored Procedure. I have another stored procedure which updates the data in the table which is used for the report. I want to get the live data on report everytime
the report is run so that I call that stored procedure (sp_updatedata) inside my report dataset stored procedure and here where my report fails as it throws error while creating dataset.
Here is sample:
sp_updatedata (this only returns "Command(s) completed successfully"
Create Proce sp_getReportData
As
Begin
Exec sp_updatedata -- I call it to update the data before it displays on the report
Select * from customers
End
If I remove this line it works.
Exec sp_updatedata -- I call it to update the data before it displays on the report
Thanks
Essa Mughal

Hi MESSA,
According to your description, you create a dataset based on a stored procedure. In this procedure, it calls another procedure. Now it throws error when creating dataset. Right?
In Reporting Services, when creating dataset, all the query or stored procedure will be executed in SSMS. So if the procedure can be executed in SSMS, it supposed to be working in SSRS. However, it has a limitation in SSRS. In a dataset, it can only return
one result set.
In this scenario, I don't think it's the issue of calling other procedure inside of procedure. Because we tested in our local environment, it works fine. I guess the sp_updatedata returns a result set, and the "select * from customers" returns
another result set. This might be the reason cause the error.
Reference:
Query Design Tools in Report Designer SQL Server Data Tools (SSRS)
Reporting Services Query Designers
If you still have any question, please post the error message and the store procedure (sp_updatedata).

• Issue in Calling https webservice calls from Weblogic

Hi,
My application is hosted on the weblogic server.
I am trying to call http basic authenticated webservice from my application.
But I am not able to access it. I am getting error.
Exception occured while calling WS : 2 counts of InaccessibleWSDLException.
com.sun.xml.ws.wsdl.parser.InaccessibleWSDLException: 2 counts of InaccessibleWSDLException.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: Response: '401: Unauthorized' for url: 'https://somehost/ws/xyz.wsdl'
java.io.FileNotFoundException: Response: '401: Unauthorized' for url: 'https://somehost/ws/xyz.wsdl?wsdl'
I have added the code to authenticate the request. But it seems that it is not working from weblogic.
class MyAuthenticator extends Authenticator {
@Override
protected PasswordAuthentication getPasswordAuthentication() {
PasswordAuthentication pwa = new PasswordAuthentication(
"uname",
"pwd".toCharArray());
return pwa;
Authenticator authenticator = new MyAuthenticator();
Authenticator.setDefault(authenticator);
PaymentService webForm=new PaymentService(wsURL, getDefaultQName(PaymentService.class)); ---> Exception occurs here.
PaymentWebForm sessionService=webForm.getPaymentSoap11();
response=sessionService.getSession(wfSessionRequest);
Please help. This is not working only from weblogic however if I execute it from standalone Java client then it worked without any issue.
Is there any configuration needs to be done in Weblogic for secure webservice calls? Please advise.
Thanks,

• Calling WS from WebLogic server 8.1 that is behind a Proxy server

Hi,
I have a web application deployed on WebLogic server 8.1 sp1. And my server is
behind a http proxy server. Now one of the components in the application makes
a web service call to a service located external to the system, and it always
throws "java.net.UnknownHostException". I have set the Java system properties
http.proxyHost = my proxy server, http.proxySet = true and http.proxyPort = 80
and it still does not help.
If I try to evaluate the web service component as a stand alone client using WebLogic's
webserviceclient.jar, everything works fine. I can't figure what I have to do
to get this component working from within the WebLogic server. Can anybody provide
me with inputs, comments or suggestions.
Naveen.

Found solution. Followed Part 2 of the solution as explained in http://support.bea.com/application?namespace=askbea&origin=ask_bea_answer.jsp&event=link.view_answer_page_solution&answerpage=solution&page=wlw/S-19283.htm
What surprises me is that this solution to a common problem is hidden and hard
to find. If I am correct, no part of WLS 8.1 documentation suggests this. Rather
the doc says, set the system properties for the standard JDK 1.4 network properties
and it should work fine. If it is actually supposed to work like this, is it a
bug then?

• URLConnection returns NULL when called from within a weblogic servlet

The following code snippet works when executed outside of weblogic, but does
not work from within a weblogic servlet instance.
URL u = new URL("http://" + ipString + newString.toString());
URLConnection uc = u.openConnection();
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader(uc.getInputStream()));
String response = "", response2 = "";
while(response2 != null)
response = ((response2 = in.readLine()) == null) ? response : response + response2;
The response is quite big. When this code is executed from within a weblogic servlet instance,
in.readLine always returns a null right away. Yet a TCP/IP trace shows that the packets are coming
back to my NT machine.
Other info:
Inside of weblogic:
u's handler is of type weblogic.net.http.Hanlder
uc is of type weblogic.net.http.HttpURLConnection
Outside of weblogic:
u's handler is of type sun.net.www.protocol.http.Handler
uc is of type sun.new.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection
Weblogic V4.51. Running on NT.
Attempted the following to no avail:
1. installing sp11
2. changing the security to permission java.security.AllPermission;
3. adding the following calls : uc.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "text/xml");
uc.setDoInput(true);
uc.setDoOutput(true);
4. Started playing around with modifying the java.protocol.handler.pkgs system property,
but I shouldn't have to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.

There are some problems with the WL implementations of certain protocols.
WL hides the Sun implementations when you are in the WebLogic server. Here
is an a solution that was posted to a similar problem:
Https is an add-in so to speak. Try this before you create your url:
System.setProperty ("java.protocol.handler.pkgs",
"com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");
// add the default security provider (again, in JSSE1.0.1)
int iap = java.security.Security.addProvider(new
com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider() );
dennisNote how the code overides the WL setting which overode the Sun setting.

• SolMan 7.1 SPS 11 - deactivate redirect from HTTP to HTTPS

Hi Gurus,
I am currently experiencing the case, that I can't call HTTP pages anymore.
Before I made the check described under SOLMAN_SETUP -> System Preparation -> 2. Check Installation -> Manual Activities -> Check Secure Web Browser Comm. (HTTPS) I was able to call SOLMAN_SETUP with HTTP and SSO worked (starting the Browser by calling transaction SOLMAN_SETUP in GUI).
After I have executed the check, I have changed nothing but to execute the check and make sure there is a working HTTPS service.
Now I am experiencing the case that if I start transaction SOLMAN_SETUP I get a browser call HTTPS. If I change the protocol and the port to HTTP it jumps directly to HTTPS. This behavior makes me think that some configurations steps have activated a force redirect from HTTP to HTTPS.
This specially gives me some headache because all other (satellite)-systems are not configured to use secured communication and the certificates are not rolled out.
Currently I can't afford the need to roll out certificates all over the landscape.
To buy me some more time:
How can I check if my feeling about the redirect is correct?
If there is a redirect, how can I disable this so that I can work with HTTP-URLs?
I appreciate your help.
Kind regards,
Niklas Theis

Hi Niklas,
Perhaps this note can give You a little hint how to reverse to the HTTP setting again:
1716999 - Enable HTTPS for Solution Manager web service communications
Also check and adjust if necessary the setting for the webservice “wd_sise_main_app”: Change the setting to “Switch to HTTP”.
In addtion to that You also might look into:
- the ACL file; if any block against HTTP has been setup

Just trying to help you ask the right questions.
And maybe you will find the answers yourself once you have the right questions.
I'm integrating some biometric solutions on Sun Access Manager. But the biometrics vendor only provides windows ocx's and DLL's. And Access Manager is running in a Solaris box.
I want to know if I can do something by myself or just tell the biometrics vendor that they must provide a Java solution.
I have been trying to find something on the web, but I asked this forum because maybe someone has tried to do something similar.The suggestion by jschell is probably your most promising option.
Integrating the .dll files with Java on a Windows box
and communicating between Access Manager / Java on the Solaris box and your Java code on the Windows box
(possibly using RMI).

• Calling an ejb from glassfish to weblogic server

I'd like to be able to call a stateless session bean from a glassfishV3 server that is residing on weblogic 9.2.3. (Ejb spec 2.1 NOT 3.0 please)
I've done this successfully from Tomcat to weblogic, but there are a few hiccups when trying this on glassfish.
Basically what I've attempted is this:
1.) I add these jvm properties to the glassfish startup:
-Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBClass=weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
-Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
-Djavax.rmi.CORBA.PortableRemoteObjectClass=weblogic.iiop.PortableRemoteObjectDelegateImpl
-Djavax.rmi.CORBA.UtilClass=weblogic.iiop.UtilDelegateImpl
2.) Copy weblogic.jar, tools.jar, and webservices.jar from the weblogic/server/lib directory to the glassfish lib/ext directory
...glassfish won't start then because of the weblogic.jar...
3.) Move the weblogic.jar to the WEB-INF/lib directory of my war in glassfish.
Now I try it and get:
(I'm skipping some of the stacktrace at the start)
.....java.lang.IllegalAccessError: tried to access method weblogic.kernel.KernelStatus.initialized()V from class weblogic.kernel.Kernel at weblogic.kernel.Kernel.ensureInitialized......
I'm guessing that this has to do with the "weblogic kernel" not being initialized. So now I'm stuck.
Am I going down the wrong path?
I've also tried these other proposed solutions:
1.) Changing the connection properties of the InitialContext to use these properties:
env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://localhost:7001");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "weblogic");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "weblogic");
2.) Using RMI over IIOP instead of T3.
None of these with any luck.
If anyone has done this successfully I'd appreciate some insight.
