HU routing to Staging area based on destination Storage type

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to route the HUs coming out from same VAS work center to the different staging areas according to the destination storage types.
Say for example,
VAS Workcenter - VAS1
HUs completed out of the VAS1 workcenter should be put away into the destination storage types (RS11, RS12, RS13, RS14) through the staging areas (ST11, ST12, ST13, ST14 respectively)
Any ideas how to achieve this through customizing to route the HUs through relevant staging areas ( VAS1 -> ST11 -> RS11,  VAS1 -> ST12 -> RS12, etc..,)

Thanks to everyone for your response.
Regarding Juergen's questions, here I am talking about the inbound process
RSXX are final storage types, where the materials will be finally put away
Staging area(work center) is used for inbound where we consolidate the materials going to same storage type (building), to the one trolley
The product put away WT is created when we complete the HU in the staging area workcenter (Final step IBS1 in the process), so we are not able to know to which storage type the product will be moved, until the HU is completed in the staging work center.

  • Batch determination based on WM storage type stock positions

    Hello experts,
I am hoping the get some advise on the best method to achieve this:
We have batch determination turned on for select customers and the system is proposing stock that is mainly in our each or lose pick storage types (110), the issue with that is the fact that we do not pick in less then case qty for those customers so if the stock doesn't exist in our general storage the user must re-determinthe batch codes before delivery release.
This process is becoming very time consuming so I would like to improve it.
My first thought is to create a custom check in the batch search strategy that will only propose batch codes that exist in our general storage (search strategy based on WM stock positions)
Are there any other options to achieve a batch search strategy based in WM stock positions other then the one above and does that solution sound practical?

I'm not referring to the type of picking either (i'm not referring to picking strategies at all). I'm referring to storage type search criteria defined in OMLY.
"We need batch determination based on WM storage type stock positions" -> you are running BD at delivery level and therefore, there is nothing from a standard perspective that we can do to run BD based on WM storage type again. Since the BD has already occurred, we need to find other venues to direct the pick to the appropriate storage types.
This is what I'm understanding but I reckon there's something that I'm missing and so let's take the below example and then you can get back with corrections:
    R001 plant
    ZM01 storage location
    Z01 WH
    110, 120, 130, 140 storage types (110, 120, 130 are case/lose pick, and 140 is general)
Since you had mentioned earlier that the BD is running at plant level, I'd assume the storage location ZM01 is automatically determined (since the batch resides in ZM01). Since the batch is already determined, based on your 'storage search strategy' (110, 120, 130) the system tries to pick this batch in these storage types. Now, when there is no full case, you have to manually change the storage type to 140 to pick and this is where the problem is. So, I was recommending that since there is no standard way to automatically pick the full case from 140, use the enhancement.

  • Manual (Dynamic) Interim Destination Storage Type instead of 916 for Outbound delivery T.O

    HI,
we would like to create transfer order manually for outbound delivery.here both source and destination need to be given manual
i know that the interim storage type 916 given in the interface movement type , while T.O creation for the outbound delivery
we would like to have the destination interim storage type as a manual entry so i kept both destination and source storage type blank, and system permits to do picking (T.O Creation  )
Created Transfer Order, with source and destination details and confirmed T.O.
But when i do the goods issue getting error as
Storage bin MT1   does not exist (check your entry)
    Message no. L9009
when i checked table LIPS-  LGTYP and   LGPLA , both fields are empty.
Please let me know how can i make this functionality.
    Thanks.

The requirement is , my interim storage areas are real storage areas, for which goods are issued the stock goes to interim storage area and PGI will be made after verification ,but the interim storage area is dependent on the customer , not a fixed one which we will know only when we deliver the goods .
I use that process too, with verification on the final storage area before shipping, but what I do is to use SD in conjunction with WM. I use the gates in the Outbound Delivery, to separate the stock, since WM creates a bin in 916 for each delivery document and I can use that to know in which gate each quant is.
That way, everything goes to 916, but I have a report that tells me which stock is near each gate, so I can run the audit process before shipping.
It's not completely standard, but WM standard is very hard to use without an additional UI layer on top anyway.

  • Setting staging area in VA01

    Hello,
I would like to set an indication to the sales order in ERP for the purpose to determine the right staging area in EWM:
[EWM] Storage control by alternative staging area according to sales order
But I dont found the field "staging area/door determination group" in the sales order: VA01->TA
    Features
In order that the system can perform staging area and door determination in the background, you must define determination rules. When doing this, you first specify which values the system is to compare with the values in the delivery:
    ●      Inbound delivery process: Warehouse process type and staging area/door determination groups
    ●      Outbound delivery process: Routes, departure calendar, staging area/door determination groups, and destination sequence numbers
You then define which of the values named under u201CUseu201D are to be determined by the system.

  • Determine destination storage bin from PP-form

    Hello,
From an adobe form (based on PSFC_KANBAN) I try in the print program to determine WM-data. To be specific I need the way from the supply area (or other pp-data) to the destination storage bin (Table PKHD).
It would be very kind of You, if you could give me a hint.
    Kind regards,
    Benjamin

    Benjamin,
I am not sure but may be you can see the program RLLS4100 or TCODE LS41.
With this report, you can create cycle lists which are assigned to a storage type.
You receive a list with the following information:
    Production supply area
    Material
    Plant
    Warehouse number
    Warehouse type
    Production storage bin
    Dynamic destination storage bin
    Staging indicator for production supply
Try also TCODE OP42 and PK05.

  • Split TO based on Storage Type

    Hi all:
My client doesn't want split TO based on Storage Type.
System is doing split TO based on SHF storage type.
Have configured a total of 14 Warehouse numbers (001 to 014).
Have configured three storage types, FRK, PLT and SHF, for WN 001.
    No SU. No HU.
Only two of them (004 and  012) are configured for TO split under "Processing performance data processing / Define TO split". WN 001 is not.
System is creating a separated TO for materials in SHF.
    Release ECC 6.0
Is there any other place where I can configure TO split based on storage types?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
Its a process of introducing Picking Area's Concept.
Based on the Storage type, system will create the transfer order, even though you club all the materials from different storage types in one sales order or in one delivery.
Explore in Picking Areas....let me know if you need any help.

  • Route decisions based on destination TCP port with EIGRP

Need information and plausibility on making routing decisions within EIGRP based on different destination TCP port.  I have a third party partner that we communicate too and they are adding a second location which we will connect too.  They are wanting to use the same destination host IP but make route decision based on destination TCP port; i.e. if we target tcp 6123 they want us to route down link A to site A, if we target tcp 7123 we would route down link B to site B.  I have never had to make that happen so I am looking into whether it actually can and if so what is basic configuration to pursue.  We use static IP routes to/from them today and will in the future at the edge, those are distributed internally to our EIGRP.  Can EIGRP make decisions based on IP and Port?

No routing protocol makes decisions based on port number as far as I know.
You need to look into PBR (Policy Based Routing) for this where you can use acls to define the route that traffic takes.
Depending on your connections you may well need to use tracking as well but it depends.
If the only reason to use EIGRP is for these connections you probably don't need it as with PBR you are overriding the routing table anyway but you may want to run it for other connectivity.
If you do a search on PBR you should find quite a few examples but if you get stuck then by all means come back.

  • Staging area error

It seems that I can't install Oracle 9.2.0.1 under Windows 2000 Pro. On the File Locations dialog where you specify Source... and Destination... I keep getting "There was a problem in accessing the staging area. Please make sure the specified values for 'Source' and 'Destination' are valid". Well, everything is valid. I have followed the Oracle installation instructions exactly as specified. Anyone else run into this kind of problem?

Did you ever find the solution to your problem? I'm having the same.

  • Staging Area location

    Hello,
I am having trouble with the staging area on my enterprise manager 12c server. When i try to download an assembly it downloads to the default staging location which is /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/omshome_1/gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1/sysman//stage.
Now when i try to appy the download so it gets moved to the 'software library upload file locations' which is at /u02/app/oracle/oms_shared/ i get the following error in the job:
Applying update of Oracle Virtual Templates and Oracle Virtual Assemblies type with entity ID : 99AED19240CD3922650F2A9255726868 and description : Database assembly for 11.2.0.3.0 Single Instance database with PSU1 on Linux 64-bit using filesystem based storage

This, of course, is true because there isn't enough freespace in /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/omshome_1/gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1/sysman//stage.
What i would like to do is to move the staging area to a location on /u02 where there is enough freespace but for the life of me i cannot find where to change this. Does anybody know how to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Bert ten Cate

    Hi Bert,
You can add an additional Software Library location in Setup, Provisioning and Patching, Software Library. Create on OS an new directory and the correct protection. Use Add in the EM-console to add this new location.
    See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/softwarelib.htm for additional info.

  • Does Huawei router NE40 support Class-Based QoS?

As I know Class-based QoS defines traffic classifiers based on certain rules and associates traffic classifiers with certain traffic behaviors, forming certain traffic policies. After
these policies are applied to interfaces, class-based traffic policing, traffic shaping, congestion management, and precedence re-marking are implemented.
Does Huawei router NE40 support Class-Based QoS?

The NE80E/40E supports DiffServ and provides standard forwarding services such as EF and AF for users by using the following traffic management measures:
    1 Traffic classification
    2 Traffic policing
    3 Traffic shaping
    4 Congestion avoidance
QoS of the NE80E/40E supports traffic policy with the above measures and mapping between the QoS fields in the IP header and the MPLS header.

    Any idea ??

I fixed my problem. Find note:74790.1 on internet. This is about how cleanly deinstalling RDBMS software. Apparently, Oracle was already installed once on my machine, but not entirely deinstalled, or at least, some components remained after deinstallation. So I followed the instructions of note:74790.1 and reinstallation was a success. You may have yourself some .ini files remaining or your registry uncleaned. Check if you have the file "ORAODBC.INI" in your system, back it up, remove it, and retry installation of Oracle universal installer.

  • ODI Staging Area Confusion

    Hi,
I am following an ODI Tutorial from http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/odi/odi_11g/odi_project_ff-to-ff/odi_project_flatfile-to-flatfile.htm. Basically it is writing a flat file to another flat file. My question in this case where will be the staging area?
in the article it is using knowledge modules IKM SQL to File Append and LKM File to SQL; based on the knowledge modules used it means staging area is in Oracle btu Idon't know why it is so.
Please help me in this regard and I will be very grateful.
    Best Regards,

Your staging area has to be a technology with transformation capabilities i.e a relational DB. This could be a dedicated database such as SQL Server or Oracle or an in memory database such as SUNOPSIS Memory Engine. As both your source and target are files and don't have these capabilities you will have to choose the staging different from target option in your interface and then select the appropriate relational technology available in your ODI architecture.
The 2 inerfaces you have mentioned are not technology specific which means that you can choose any relational technolgy with SQL capabilities as your Satging Area, it does not have to be Oracle

  • Prioritize traffic based on destination IP?

Hi all, we're looking to use an ASA5505 or 5510 as our firewall but want to see if one of them can help us prioritize traffic. I know it does QoS but we're wanting to dedicate x amount of our bandwidth to traffic based on destination IP address. Is that possible and does it take a license upgrade?
    Thanks!

Jerry, i would try something like in the second config example I mentioned. keep in mind, if ISP doesn't support marking packets, it may be hard to QoS inbound. if you assign the VOIP traffic high priority, it should go out interface first during congestion. Don't need to dedicate a certain amount of bandwidth in any way. Make sure in the design to keep the VOIP traffic, VPN traffic and User PAT (outbound NAT) traffic on separate IP's. That will help when defining the access-lists. This QoS stuff is kind of tricky and is bit confusing. I have setup a few configs according to the above examples and they _seem_ to work. I ran a policing queue on the edge router for traffic leaving to ASA, and ran a priority queue on the ASA. When i test big download from a major site, which could consume all bandwidth, it doesn't appear to clobber VOIP traffic. The same results apply, when I test a big upload to internet. The QoS stuff is tricky though, and i _didn't_ see what I expected when i use the show QoS commands to see traffic drops, etc. so YMMV!
Take a look at this link for ASA 7.X release, which may give you some ideas:
"QoS based on ACL with VPN Configuration" You can change ACL to include the outside interface IP as long as you have separated the NAT's, VPN, etc. like i mentioend earlier.
