Hwo to create a custom table

Dear Freinds,
I have four fields in my custom table....first field is key field and second one is non key (text descritpion of first field) , third fields is key field and fourth is again
as text field non key..
Field Data element
MANDT MANDT
ZZFAART FACHR (primary key)
FRTXT ZZFRTXT (char50)
ZZORGCODE ZZORGCODE (char10)
ZZORGTXT ZORGTXT (char60)
now when we are enteing from SM30 ... my requirement as per functional is
i have to make zzfaart field as primary key......... i have made it since that is first field.
now he wants zzorgcode as also primary key......... as per the table condtion i cannot
give zzorgcode as primary key as all the key fields should be in order..........but the functional say he wants in third place only............he saying we can see so many place in confiugration's in spro....where
when we enter first field the second field (text ) will be automatically populated.......
(this point iam able to do....) and the third field will be primary key...
however iam not able to do is to make the zzorgcode as primary key ............as he wants that tobe grated out as well once we enter the value and he wants it to make primary key so that no duplicates can be entered.
Please let me know how to do this point....

how to create the custom table
There are two approach in creating a table.
1. Bottom-up approach
2. Top-down approach.
Both are valid and you can choose which approach is suitable for you. I always use the bottom-up approach. Here are the steps to create the tables with this approach.
1. SE11 will take you to the DDIC and enter the name of the new table to be created. Let us say Zname. Click create.
2. Enter the short discription of the table and enter the field of the table. If it is primary key and you have to check the box.
3. Enter the data element and double click it, you will be asked to save and will take you to data element discription page. Enter the short discription of the data element and enter the information of domain like the length of field and type of field.
4. If you wanted to use the existing domain then its fine, or else, you have to create one. Enter the domain name in the data element page and double click it. Page will ask to save and jump to domain creation page.
5. In the domain page, you have to save the information which you have already given in the data elements page and check it. Before going to data element page, you have to activate the domain.
6. Go to data element page and save, check and activate.
7. Go to main table page and save, check, and activate.
8. Also, you have to save the technical settings of the table.
The table is now ready for operation. You can use it in your program or you can use it to enter information.
Check table: It is the table which will have all the information about the Foreign keys which are the primary keys in the check table.
It can be created by creating the foreign key from the main table. Click foreign key in the main table and it will take you to a page which will ask for table name and field to which foreign key relation has to be associated. Enter the information and you can create the check table automatically.
SM30 is used for maintenance of the table, that is to realease the errors occured during the creation of the table.

Go to transaction SE11.
Enter table name as per naming conventions(it should start with z or y)
go to table fileds and enter the required filds, remeber to have mandt as first table field.
the enetr the key fields as per your requirement.
assign foreign keys as applicable.
create data elements and domains if required.(or craete them before craeting the table so that you can directly use)
finally after entring the all table filds activate it.

Hey Everyone! First post ever, so bear with me:
I'm trying to create a streamlined method to use a form to let myself and others add information and select certain options to put together a custom table of contents. Basically, I would like to have a form with a series of text fill and single/multiple choice options that will automatically populate a table of contents based on the selections and will link to other .pdf files that are associated with the selections. I was hoping this would be possible with a form, but I'm relatively new to the function of the software as a whole and my research came up short. Any suggestions on how to start are more than welcome, and if I wasn't quite clear enough I would be happy to elaborate.

You would need to search for other PDF creation software that can accomplish what you desire.
There are many cheaper PDF creation alternatives other than Adobe's Acrobat Pro software.
Also, try doing a web search under these terms to see if you can find an app/software/solution that may work for you.

How to find out who created a custom table

I have searched the forum but didn't find an answer so thought I would put it out here.
I have a bunch of custom tables that have been created and not assigned to table groups. Some are SM30 wrappers and some aren't. They are all defaulted to &NC& which is a no-no to assign to roles. My question is, how can I see who created these tables so that I can contact them and educate them on table groups? I can't seem to figure this out.
For instance, I have a custom t-code that calls a custom view and the view is assigned to &NC& in TDDAT.
Any help appreciated

Try SE15->ABAP Dictionary->Database Tables->"enter table name" and execute->select table and view->Attributes Tab->Last changed on/by. Field "Last changed on/by" will give you an idea who the last user that made modification on this table.

well, i have indeed narrowed down my problem after some digging around.. one thing i discovered that i don't need CalendarRenderer.java.. and i found out i don't really know what does

          I have created a custom table ZSALESMANAGER, I have created a Maintenance view for this table ZSALESMANAGER_MV. I have to create a custom Tcode for this maintenance. so that when the i enter this tcode i should get the maintenance view scree of the table.

Client Independent custom table create

Hi ,
As per the requiremnts i have created a custom table in Client DEV1... and updated the table through an interface.
The custom table have 12 entries in that Client.
Now the same custom table when checked in another DEV Client DEV2 which is almost the replica of DEV1.. i.e if any custom table or custom program is ctreated in DEV1 it reflects in DEV2,,,, the entries are not found.
COuld anybody let me know incase some settings needs to be checked for checking the same entries in Client DEV2 as in Client DEV1 for the same custom table?
Or there are some steps included while creating thre custom table so that its entries are found in both clients ?
Or execute the interface in DEV2 can create entries.
Which odf the above approach needs to be considered ?

Hi Kritika !!
If you want to reflect the same records in different clients, you have to delete the MANDT field from your Custom table. then only the records will reflect in all the clients of the same Custom Table.
If you are not willing to remove the Field MANDT from Custom table and U need the same records in all the clients, U have to create records through Utilities -> Table Contents -> Create Entries or with the Help of TMG or with the help of Ur Interface.

Hello Lisa,
Use transaction SE11 and enter the name of the table (ZABC) and execute CREATE. Enter the required fields which u need in the table select the fields which are primary keys. Make sure your first field in the table is MANDT and is also a key. and press save...Your table is created.
the delivery class depends on the nature of the table you created. If the table you created is used to maintain transactional data like sales order numbers, deliveries etc then use set the delivery calss = 'A' but if you table will be used a config table let us say for this delivery type and shipping point ....FLAG = 'X' and if you use this table in the program to determine certain actions to be done like create transfer orders for deliveries if FLAG = 'X', in these kind of situations you use delivery class = 'C' where the table not not be populated with transactional data.
Once the table is created click on "Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator -> on the scree enter the authorization group if none then enter &NC&, function group = name of the table (ZABC) and execute CREATE which can be found in the titile

Hi,
You do not have to do anything explicitely for the foreign key relationships in the table maintainance generator.
Create the table maintainance generator via SE11 and it will take care of all teh foreign key checks by itself.

How to enter a floating value in a custom table.

hello guys,
I have created a custom table, the table has a field of type fltp(floating type) now when i create a maintanence genrator, this field is not displayed in the maintenance generator screen.
Can any one suggest me what is the reason ? also how to enter the values in this scenario.

When I Recreated your problem i got this message.
Field ZTEST_FGLG-QTY can not be displayed on screen 0001
     Message no. SV617
Diagnosis
     The field ZTEST_FGLG-QTY can not be offered for maintenance on the
     screen 0001, for technical reasons.
System Response
     The generation continues, but the field ZTEST_FGLG-QTY does not appear
     on the screen 0001.
From the message it is clear that it is not possible to show the field on screen.
so you have to use either some Decimal Field or Qty field instead of FLTP field.
