Can any body help me?

You cannot delete this app. It is somewhere. Check every page of the Home screen. If necessary, search for it under Spotlight (very first page of the Home screen).

  • Accidentally deleted contacts app how to download again

    Hi,
I've accidentally deleted contacts (address book in older versions) app , how can i download it back? Is there a link or can someone share the dmg file with me?
    Thanks in advance.

It is not possible to delete the Contacts app using normal means:
Are you certain it no longer exists in your Applications folder? Perhaps you merely deleted it from the Dock. If that's the case, open the Applications folder, find the Contacts app, and drag it to the Dock.

  • Accidentally deleted exchange account and lost contacts....please help

    Hello all,
I have a unique problem and I'm worried that it may not be fixable but hopefully it is.  Here is the long detailed explanation.
I was trying to start setup for an outlook account to sync my business emails to my phone (which I never got around to doing)  I noticed that under mail/contacts etc.  that there was an exchange account.....with it being early in the AM and still in bed I accidentally deleted it.  I noticed immedietly after that my texts were coming in with numbers rather than contact names.  I don't usually use the start mail (blue with white envelope) I had it archived away.....because I have the gmail app which was much more user friendly.  Whoever set up the exchange account must have been at the verizon store when i bought the phone possibly.  I did not do this myself.  Anyways I have a few more problems that makes this issue worse....for some time now my iCloud has been saying it does not have the appropriate amount of storage......(And I assume is not backing up my contacts)  I've never really had to use iCloud before so I think this may not help either.  I looked on gmail and only certain contacts....older ones were on there.  I went to a verizon store and he helped me re-add my exchange account which im assuming was through my gmail email (Only email I really use) and certain contacts seemed to pop up.  After leaving the store I realized that a lot of the newer contacts I've added were still missing......I'm not sure what else I can do to recover these contacts if anything but I am now up for suggestion.  This is basically where I'm at right now.....not totally missing everything but missing a good deal.  Also would like to get my cloud up and running again so this doesn't happen again.  I haven't hooked to iTunes yet but I never really did that regularly so that might not help either.  Like I said I am up for any suggestion......maybe a way to look up my exchange account if by chance it wasn't under my gmail email account......Thanks in advance!

  • How do I keep my toddler from deleting apps and contacts when playing on iphone

My son has recently become interested in the toddler apps I have on my phone. Unfortunately, he also plays outside these apps... he knows how to use the home button and swipe and has zero concept of what the actions and consequences are of what he is doing. Recently he accidentally deleted a couple of his games and a few of my contacts just by "playing" on the phone. The point of having him use it is to keep him occupied when I have other things I need to get done so I am looking for a way to restrict his access to all but the apps I would like him to use. Is there an app for that?

@carrie10471 I certainly don't think you need parenting advice - I have the same issue and I just found under Settings, then under General, then under Restrictions, you'll have to set a pass code but then you'll see something for deleting apps - turn that off and you'll notice you can't delete apps anymore. You can easily turn it back on whenever you want. Just remember that pass code. I watch my son when he uses the IPad but it takes like 2 secs to delete an app - so I like this feature. Good luck :-)

  • I accidentally deleted iPhoto on my mac and it says the the app was downloaded with a different apple id and now i can't get the app back without paying $14.99

i accidentally deleted iPhoto on my mac and it says the the app was downloaded with a different apple id and now i can't get the app back without paying $14.99

Did you install it yourself are somebody else for you?
If you installed them yourself, but do not remember which AppleID you used, try all AppleIDs you might have used in turn.
If somene else set up your Mac for you, ask the person to reinstall it. If you bought the mac second hand, the previous owner needs to contact Apple to transfer the iLife apps. If that is not possible, delete the apps that you cannot update and buy them using your AppleID.

  • How do I delete contacts in Contacts App. when not on iCloud

    iPad2 IOS 6.1.3.
When I disconnect from iCloud by deleting mi Apple ID account, I still have information in my Contacts App. which I can't delete because the "Edit" button is missing. I presume this means that they are physically stored on my IPad. Is there a way to remove these contacts since I'd like to exchange my iPad?

If you see the contacts in the contacts app, then they are still on the iPad. I'm not sure what you mean about exchanging your iPad, but if you are getting rid of it for any reason at all, you should totally erase the device in the settings.

  • Accidentally Deleted App Folder

I moved many of my most-used business apps to the Tools folder, then, while trying to move it I accidentally deleted it. Where did all the apps go and how do I get them back, or can I restore the old folder? The online message says the apps are moved to the bottom of the home screen but my home screen doesn't have any apps, only folders. Help appreciated.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
    2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.
If you still don't see it, look at Options > Advanced > Applications. Do you see it listed there?

  • HT203167 I accidentally deleted an album on my Ipad2 can I retrieve it?

I accidentally deleted an album on my Ipad2 can I retrieve it. also my others albums have recently skipping the order of the songs.
    what can be done? Thanks

Whether you can re-download music depends upon what country that you are in, and whether they remain in the store. If you can re-download it then it will show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPad.
For the songs that skip, I assume that they used to be ok. If they are also re-downloadable then you could delete them from your iPad and re-download them (whilst a song is still on your iPad it will show as 'downloaded' in the Purchased tab and not with the cloud symbol for re-downloading).

  • I accidentally deleted all my contacts: please help?

Somehow I deleted all my contacts in my Adress Book while researching sending a mass email. It has been deleted in iCloud as well. I plugged in my external disc to open a previous back up of "Contacts" in my app folder but it cannot be opened because my last backup preceded my upgrade to Mavericks so the last backed up "Contacts" can not open in Mavericks. Are my contacts held anywhere on my backup other than "Contacts" where I could get access to them. Since I haven't synched my iPhone 4 since the accidental deleation many of my contacts remain on it. Strangely some of the numbers remain without their corresponding names though if that makes any sense.

    Tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Contacts off then back on.
If that doesn't help, try here >  iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud

  • I have accidentally deleted the iPhoto app. Help

I have accidentally deleted the iPhoto app that came installed on my macbook pro.
I didn't get a disc when I purchased the laptop.
How can I get the app back for free?

I havent yet downloaded the OS X Mavericks. Do you think this will help?
You will need OS X Mavericks, but now this is not the problem.
Probably you hid iPhoto in the Mac App Store, so try to unhide it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
If it does not show as an app to unhide, you will need to contact with the Mac App Store support > http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact
Respecting to OS X Mavericks, you will need it to download iPhoto, but first of all check if you are already using it (or not). Open  > About this Mac, and tell me which OS X version you are using

  • I have just purchased ipad3 and thought I was restoring from my iPad2 but accidentally restored my husbands if I delete everything and restore to factory settings will it affect his iPad?

I have just purchased a new ipad3 but when setting up I thought I was restoring from my iPad2  but unfortunately I accidentally restored my husbands instead! If I restore factory settings will this affect my husbands iPad? Just wondered as when he set up his iPad he deleted all my contacts thanks

    Busymum2902-
Go to Settings-General-Reset-Erase All Content and Settings.  This should make the iPad act like a new one, and give you another chance to restore from your old iPad 2's backup.
There should be no affect on your husband's iPad if your iPad 2 had no affect on it.

  • Contacts - is there an edit/delete function to remove Groups in my Contact Book (IPad2)

I have some 'empty' Groups in my contact book and can't seem to find a way to delete them.
There is no edit/delete function I can find on the IPad2 to do this?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Hmmmm...maybe try deleting them again (I know it's a pain) and then doing a manual icloud backup (unless you already did this). Icloud may be putting them back on there. I never allowed FB to put the contacts on my phone lol. Also try going into Privacy and Contacts...make sure FB isn't on in there. Might be a few other spots to check under settings to make sure too. And...you might want to try deleting the FB app, do a icloud backup, and then reinstall FB

  • I accidentally deleted my apps, some content were important. how will i retrieve them?

Hi. I accidentally deleted all my purchased Apps while updating and syncing.  some have contents that were important.  how i can i retrieve them including the contents?

    PogoPossum wrote:
If you backed them up before updating, you should be able to restore them - either by just going to iTunes - Device - Apps and selecting them, or by restoring from the back-up made right before the update (the update wipes out your machine and then restores from back-up - but it's not clear that this is happening, so it's possible you interrupted the restoration before it was fully done; I did that at first ).
Hey! I have a similar problem.
My situation is that after I updated I did another restore from backup (which was made ages ago) to get iTunes to put things as they were into folders etc., but this second backup also overwrote the app data and other information (like contacts).
So the question is where can I find and restore from the back-up made by iTunes automaticaly during the update?

  • Accidental deletion of data in contacts application file

While trying to follow instructions from an application web site to correct doubled listing in my contact file, I accidentally deleted the date in the contacts file under applications rather than the contact storage file.  (settings/applications/manage applications/contacts.  The Droid seems to work OK but I am wondering what I deleted and if I need to take it in and have it somehow restored.  Does anyone know what data was in the Contact file?
    Thanks

It should just be a simple system file that will not affect the use of the device. However if it does begin to affect the use and operation the device you can always perform a factory reset to clear it back to like new.

Are  you attempting to update via iTunes on a computer or over the air on the device?
How much free space is actually on the device?
If updating via iTunes on the computer, how much free space on the computer?
