I am have problems loading a cd onto i-tunes. No matter how many times I try to load a particular cd it will only load the first 9 seconds of each track. Can anyone help?

Can any one help? I have tried several times to import a particular cd onto i-tunes, but each time it will only load the first 9 seconds of each track.

If it was a recent purchase you could take it back to the store and return it as "not fit for purpose", then buy a digital version. If it is too late for that I suppose you could try contacting the record company but I doubt they care at this point since they have the money. Can't really go into any possible workarounds without breaching the TOU.

    When you gte requests to locate iTunes.msi like this, the Microsoft Installer Cleanup utility usually fixes it.
    Here is a method for removal, clean up and reinstall of iTunes.

    Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)

    When you get to deleting Quicktime files in the system32 folder as advised in the method, you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart your PC.
    Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
    Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
    If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
    restart your PC
    Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
    If it does, install iTunes.

I click the box 'do not ask me again' and it comes up EVERY TIME. I change things like I don't want history remembered, and when I reload FireFox again, it's back to the way it was BEFORE. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don't know why this is happening, or how to fix it. What do I do??

    I do not want to download another virus program.. I do not believe it is a virus. I am running the full version of Norton 360 and it is doing a daily scan. I have Windows 7, 64 bit OS.
    This is very irritating !! If I wanted Yahoo I would ask for it !

  • Suddenly, I can't get the plugin scan page to open. I keep getting "Plugin Finding Service Error", no matter how many times I try, or wait. When I first opened it yesterday, it was scanning, then it disappeared and I got the error message.

    I have opened the plugin scanning page many times before, and have done some updating of plugins recently, but yesterday I couldn't bring up the scan, I keep getting "Plugin Finding Service Error", which says to "try again later". I believe what I updated most recently was Flash (I think). No matter how many times I push the "try again", or shut down Firefox and the webpage, I still get the error, and get nowhere!

    This problem has been occurring for the past two months. I have updated Firefox to version 3.6.16...including Flash Player to version 10.2.153.1 as instructed. I am able to click on the "Add-ons" tab and "find updates" for "Get Add-ons" and "Extensions." However, the "find updates" tab is not working for "Plugins."
    I followed one of your suggestions in your "troubleshooting plugins" topic (disabling the plugins...then enabling them after a check). That didn't work either. In fact, a message box would appear saying that Firefox has "disabled Flash" instead, which of course it did not, since I was able to confirm that the Flash Player update version was still intact. Unfortunately, it appears that updating the Flash Player through Firefox is not a standalone operation. Apparently it will not work properly unless a separate update is subsequently processed through Internet Explorer as well.

    I'm not really sure what visor is, I am assuming it is an app or a webpage that you are watching on your iPad and trying to airplay to the Apple TV.
    Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).

  • Does anyone know how to unbind an app (Imob 2) from a device? I am trying to transfer my account from my iphone to my ipad and no matter how many times I try erasing all information, restoring through itunes...nothing works.

    I am trying to switch my imob account from my iphone to my ipad and when I try to transfer, the ipad says that i cannot transfer another imob account to it because I bound the imob account to the device that is already on the ipad. This is driving me crazy. Every time I try to permanently delete the imob app from the ipad and download a new one, it opens to my existing app that I keep deleting. I wiped the ipad clean numerous times. I even tried using a different apple id to download it. Nothing it working. Why can't I get rid of the information stored in the app that is on the ipad? It's creepy how it won't go away. So if I sold the ipad and someone else tried to download their own game, they would not be able to because my original information that is saved on the game would keep coming up. Any help is appreciated.

    It is one of two things...
    You MIGHT have another appleID that has the email address you are trying to verify already as its own verified email address.  You can figure this out by using the find my appleID link from the appleid.apple.com page.  OR...it just isn't working and you'll have to call AppleCare, get a senior advisor who can force a verification email to be sent to you.  Tomorrow morning.

    The sound on my ipod stopped working overnight, I've dropped it a couple of times and I'm not sure if that could be the problem. Is there some way I can fix it?

    Problem from headphones?
    From speaker?
    From both?
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

    iOS 7 is compatible with the 5th generation iPod touch, and any older iPod isn't supported. As iOS 7 doesn't show up as an update, your device isn't supported

  • Just curious if anyone has EVER been able to use "live chat".  In the past 6 months no matter how many times I try I see the message, "All agents are busy right now"  Even if I try at midnight

    Has anyone had any success with live chat?  I have NEVER been able to reach anyone.  I complained to the FCC and an executive at Verizon contacted me I asked what options they had for me to contact anyone at Verizon (after trying to call them repeatedly and being put on hold and then disconnected repeatedly).  I said "I have never been able to reach anyone by live chat"-- her response was that is the very first time she has ever heard that-and that live chat is ALWAYS available."  I told her to try to reach her own customer service a few times and then she might know how it really works.  So I am curious- is it just me?  Has anyone been able to get through on live chat, and if so were they helpful?

    How unfortunate! I love the online chat!  Just used it on the 1st of October to inquire about the new data tier pricing. So much easier than waiting on the phone or in line at the Verizon store.
    Perhaps you need a faster internet connection or an update to Java on your computer.

    Hi, Hugo,
    In similar cases it helped to remove the GarageBand "Preferences" file from the User Library.
    Open the folder
        your home folder > Library > Preferences
    and move the file "com.apple.garageband.plist" to the Desktop.
    Then try again to launch GarageBand.

    What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

    In order to take full advantage of the capabilities of iMovie Theater, you must be signed in to iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, movies and trailers shared to iMovie Theater are automatically uploaded to iCloud. You can also turn off automatic uploading, and upload just the movies and trailers you want, or delete individual movies and trailers from iCloud.     If you sign out of your iCloud account on your Mac, all iCloud movies disappear from the Theater, but they are not deleted; the movies reappear when you sign in again. If you ever run out of space in iCloud, an alert icon appears in the top-right corner of your movie, indicating that you can’t upload new movies. For more information, click the icon. After you upgrade your iCloud storage or clear space, your movies automatically appear in iCloud again.

    Select the “Automatically upload content to iCloud” checkbox.
    To turn off automatic uploading, deselect the checkbox.
