I downloaded the new Mozilla web browser and I had a Bing homepage setting. I changed back to yahoo but I ever since downloading I dont have any back arrows, forward arrows, file, edit, view, history, bookmark, tools, address bar....how do I get my web browser to look like a regular browser again?
For details of how to restore the menus see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/menu+bar+is+missing]
Once the menus are back, you can use the View menu, then select Toolbars and click on the names of the toolbars to toggle displaying them. -
I am missing the tool bar which goes directly underneath the blue Mozilla/Firefox banner. My other tool bar remains unchanged eg. back/forward buttons, refresh page button, etc. are still there and work normally. Where are my bookmarks and how do I get them back?
With Firefox 3.6.2 you are a few versions behind on updates. You should update to the latest Firefox version via Help > Check for updates.
Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks.

The links are there. I can click on them. I'm just can not see what I'm clicking on. The info on the tabs comes back but only when I click on that tab. rebooting every 24 hours fixes the problem temporarily.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Suddenly yesterday I lost my File,Edit,View,History, Bookmark,Tools & Help tabs/bar. When I lost them I gained a "Most Visited" tab & a Mozilla/Firefox "Getting Started" tab. I've tried to correct by using system restore with no success, Any suggestions??
Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

how can i remove the page title above the File,Edit,View,History,Bookmark tab in firefox
In Firefox 29 and Firefox 30:
"3-bar" menu button > Customize
In the lower left, click the Title Bar button to switch the title on and off.
In Firefox 28, I actually can't remember!
I would be remiss if I didn't remind you:
* Firefox 28 is not secure: Mozilla has disclosed its [https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html known security flaws].
* You can modify Firefox 30 to restore many of the UI features of earlier versions of Firefox using the techniques in the following article (and/or with assistance from forum volunteers): [[How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox]]. -
how do I get back the "File Edit View History Bookmarks Yahoo! Tools Help" line of text that I could click on for options that used to be at the top of the browser window above the taps
I did that (I think I did) however the confusion is that I get only part of the menu and not the most important menu items like "file" "edit" etc. with all the drop downs. It is so freaky - my other computers have no problem like this and I and show the menu bar or not just like you described. I really doubt anyone really understands my problem with it. I took some screen shots of the good computer version and the bad one so someone can "see" exactly what I am seeing. This may be a one of a kind gremlin issue, LOL. Anyway, without those menu items, I am very limited on the usefulness of FireFox on that computer so I have to rely more on Chrome for those features and use the FireFox with Billeo and other tools that still work. Someday it may magically fix itself, LOL.
Of the two images, one is the good computer and the other is the bad. The bad one shows the only way to see the menu items however they disappear after I am done with the custom menu and no other time can I get the items to "appear" it is like they are there but cannot get them to show when in the normal menu bar mode. -
I use windows basic vista. I don't have any additional info. I use firefox w/o using any add-on's.

It had a tool bar at the top with File, Edit, View, History, bookmarks, etc.
Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and check "Menu Bar".
Your bookmarks are accessible from the Bookmarks button on the navigation toolbar. It's the wide button on the right side of the address bar with a star to its left.
Your history is accessible from the History button under the ≡ Menu Button panel. You can right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize, then drag the History button onto the navigation toolbar if you like (that's the area with the Back/Forward buttons and the address bar).
If you'd like to completely revert Firefox's appearance, install the Classic Theme Restorer add-on and restart Firefox when prompted.

I was deleting addons and I deleted the main top tabs by accident. I deleted my entire upper set of tabs - Bookmarks, Tools and more. I reinstalled Firefox 3 times and it's still gone.

How do I get them back?Hi larremag,
You should take a look at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues#os=mac&browser=fx9 this article that discusses issues with the latest version of Firefox]. There is some information in there on the issue you are experiencing. It should provide all the steps you need.
Hopefully this helps! -
I've had this problem with earlier versions of Firefox. I am currently running the latest version which I think is 6.0.1. Firefox also is not responding a lot since the latest version update. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!! -
I installed Firefox onto my computer and in doing so it removed my browser: back, Forward, Refresh buttons; also, the File, Edit, View, Tool, Help buttons are missing.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar and Navigation bar, so they have a check-mark.
