It says I dont have permission and to contact owner or administrator. I am the administrator on this computer and all the file permissions are enabled and I even tried running adobe reader as admin. the file is encrypted but Im never asked for a password or anything.

Hi Rickhoneyford,
Does this issue occur with any pdfs you attempt to open or is this issue specific to this pdf?

  • I received this error message when attempting to open my iTunes:  apple application support not found

I'm not sure if my iTunes won't open because my apple software might have been deleted from my computer during a clean out.  How do I reestablish my apple software without losing all my iTunes music?  Apple's error message is telling me that I have to uninstall iTunes and then re install it, but I'm pretty sure I'll lose everything if I do this.  Suggestions?????

    Hello RunnerGirl98,
If you reinstall iTunes using this article, your songs will not be deleted. The Media in iTunes is stored in the iTunes folder, which is normally found in your Music folder and is not attached, or part of the iTunes application.
It will be either one of these 2 articles depending on the OS version you have installed:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
I would also verify where your iTunes library is stored using this information:
Where are my iTunes files located?

  • I receive an error message when attempting to check my e-mail

I receive an error that it doesn't reconize my user name or password for the SMTP address, even when I did nothing to change the settings just a few hours before.   I tired to power off my phone, I checked my e-mail on my computer and it worked, and I tried to delete the account on my phone and set-up a new account.  I even changed my password on the account to see if that helped.
How do I trouble shoot this?

Thank you for the link and response.  I did everything on the link, but my iphone 4s still has the same error box  " Cannot Get Mail - The user name or password for ATT is incorrect".   I triple checked my password entry after removing the account and re-entering the account.  I was reading on another strand that some people have had issues with AT&T, but with their computers and no one seem to have found a resolution other than it happens and may go away and/ or it may reappear and unfortunately, AT & T apparently did not help and just blamed Apple.  I received your message when logged in on my computer so I know that the account is active and functioning.
If you have another suggestion I'd appreciate it, otherwise I guess I will see if it goes away by tomorrow before I try contacting an Apple Store/ AT & T/ Verizon representative.

  • Receiving "Fatal Error" message when attempting to burn BluRay

I have completed a BluRay project and am trying to burn to a BluRay.  The process goes fine until it starts the burn process.  The project is about 19g and I am ttrying to burn to a 25g bluray BD-R.  It takes about 6 hours to go through the process.  When the progress meter shows 100%, it goes into the burn process and after only a few minutes, I receive a "Fatal Error" message and that's it, no further messages and nothing written to the bluray.  I end up clicking on the "cancel" button which takes me back to the project.
Running Elements 7.0 on Windows 7 with plenty of horsepower.  Can give specifics if someone thinks that could be the problem.  Is there a way to burn the HD project to the computer and then use other software to burn to my Bluray internal burner??

    Hi All,
I have a similar error with the config details below.
The work-around that I found was to end all processes that have nothing to do with PrE - especially McAfee and GoogleDeskTop stuff (sorry if I am getting close to the line citing names - but it does seem to be related) and to put PrE in high priority using the Windows Task Manager / Processes facility.
This solution does work even with chapters although I have not yet been able to burn a BD with menus yet - this may be due to the version 4.0 of PrE that I am using.
My issue was all the more frustrating in that my project lasting approx 90mins in realtime was taking approx 25hrs (> 1 day) to render to AVCHD, And after rendering, the Fatal Error msg appeared but PrE was locked and the only way to get out was to end process PrE and restart Windows - no intermediary AVCHD file was saved so I had repeated this process several times over a week before finding this solution after reading this website,
What a shame; I had bought a new powerful laptop with PrE 4.0 and a BD writer pre-installed and yet it seems to hard to get a basic BD !!
In case it can be of interest, I compared burning BDs using AVCHD and MPEG-2 (1920X1020) and, on my 40"LCD I cannot really see any difference in quality. As the MPEG-2 renders and burns in approx 1/10th time of AVCHD, I think that I'll be sticking to this compression.
Here are the details of the system:
    Intel Pentium CoreDuo 2.26GHz
    Windows Vista
    4Gb DDR2
500Gb internal drive with over 50% free
Source HDV footage stored on external 320Gb HDD via USB2.
    PrE4.0
    I hope that this helps.

  • Error message when attempting to open iTunes

    Hi everyone,
I had an outdated version of iTunes installed and I tried to update it for the newest version, but I had lots of problems regarding disk space so I installed the earlier version again to try and reverse what I'd done. Now, all my music is still there (and my library) but when I attempt to open iTunes I get an error message that says 'Choose Library...' and no matter what I do, I can't open iTunes.
Has anyone had this problem before? I'm on Windows XP.
    Thanks,
    li0n4

You could try a repair, rather than a reinstall.
    Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Find itunes in the list and press change, then repair.

  • Get 500 Internal Server Error message when attempting to open Firefox.

Firefox working fine until last week. Cannot connect. Only receive error message. Uninstalled & re-installed. Same error message. Windows 7, Zone Alarm. Explorer 8.

    Hi,
According to your description, there is a 500 internal server error when you select any Option in your OWA.
Based on my research, we can try the following steps:
    1.  Check whether Virtual Directories Authentication configured properly. Enable the ECP Virtual Directory with Anonymous and Basic Authentication.
    2.  Check on the Application Pools to view whether ECP Application Pool is running on .NET Framework v4.0. It maybe the incompletely installation of Framework that causes this error.
If so, We can try to run the following command as Administrator:
    %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
Or change the MSExchangeECPAppPool from .NET Framework from v4.0 to v2.0. Then restart IIS.
If you have any question, please do not hesitate to tell me.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Winnie Liang

  • Error message when attempting to export a PDF to Excel format

i just signed up and my first PDF i try to export to EXCEL gives me an error message  -  "An error occurred while trying to access this service"    any thoughts here??

    Hi Paul,
It sounds as though you may be trying to sign in to the service via Adobe Reader. Is that the case? We've had recent reports of this error occurring in Reader.
What happens when you log in directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf using a web browser?
    Best,

  • Error Message When Attempting to Open a Portfolio of Projects

"The description cannot exceed the maximum length of 400 kilobytes"
When I click OK it returns me to all projects again rather than just the projects in the portfolio I have selected. What is causing this?

    Hello
The error message that is described is caused by corrupted user preferences (     Error: "The description cannot exceed the maximum length of 400 kilobytes" when opening Projects or Portfolios. (Doc ID 907406.1)) you can solve the issue by deleting them or create a new user in order to avoid the error, please refer to the following note for the solution
How To Delete A User's Application User Preference Settings (Edit, User Preferences) If The Account Has Become Corrupted In Project Management Or Web Access (Doc ID 894279.1)

  • I get an error message when attempting to print to PDF

    Error message is below:

I can print other InDesign files to PDF just fine, but not the one I'm currently working on.  I have tried shutting down the program and reopening, printing just one page at a time (the document is 30ish pages).  Any ideas?

Just as an addition to that - you only need to save as Photoshop PDF if you're photoshop document contains, Vector Masks, Vector Shapes, or Text Layers that are unflattened (remain as masks, shapes and text).
Other than that PSD or TIFF is preferred.

  • Error Message when trying to open a pdf

Recently tried opening a downloaded user manual and received the following message:  There was an error opening this document.  There was a problem reading this document (14).
    Please note:
Have installed latest version of reader (10).
Have tried downloading the file multiple times.
Have rebooted a number of times.
Note also that I have new (to me) antivirus software - Panda Cloud and recently had major problems with an internet redirect virus (which seem to be fixed ? ? ?)
Any help or direction in what to try next?

There are many different kinds of security and many security plug-ins. Most are not freely available. Go back to where you purchased the document to get an updated plug-in (if available).

  • I am getting an error message when trying to open a .pdf doc from a website.

The error message says problem with adobe
acrobat reader.  Please exit adobe reader and try again.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled reader 9, but that did not help. Any ideas?  I can't
open .jpgs either.  This just happened in the middle of the day.  I have also rebooted.

Does this issue occur on another browser? If this issue does occur on another browser then I would like to say that it is a Yahoo issue and not a Firefox issue.

  • Acrobat error message when trying to open a .pdf, usine Acrobat 6.0 and need this version for distiller function.

Have Acrobat 6.0 and 9.0 installed. I need 6.0 for distiller function. Whenever I try to open a .pdf file in a site I get an error message that Acrobat has a problem and the file will not open.

    Good day,
You can initiate a Repair installation from Control Panel > Programs by clicking on the Acrobat 9 installation, choosing 'Change' then following the prompts for a repair install.
I missed the part where you mentioned the error was occurring on launch.  Sorry about that.
    Kind regards,
