On reflection I should have used a wired connection or migrated at a later time but is it possible to interrupt the process now and rerun with a wired solution without damaging either laptop?I have two iTunes libraries - about 172GB that I keep on my MacBook Pro and 500GB+ that I keep on an external drive. If you wanted to do something similar - keeping that precious internal space to a minimum - you can just create two libraries and hold down the option key when opening iTunes: this allows you to select which library you want to open.

You need to delete and redownload those applications. His Apple ID is stored inside them.

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.I've never had this problem before... today I opened iTunes and it prompted me to download the newest version. I use iTunes all the time and have updated it multiple times with no issues. During the installation process it gave me an error message that said:

I quit the installation, uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my computer. I now receive a similar message with a slight difference:

I did not leave anything out from the error message. It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..." Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
How do I repair this issue? I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse. I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs. You don't say what your version of Windows you have. Assuming XP, go to Start | Run, type DXDIAG and click OK. Click the Sound tab and run the tests to eliminate a hardware problem first of all. If you don't hear anything, check your cables first of all. Also make sure "Mute" isn't checkmarked in your sound setup. You'll find that in Windows Control Panel.
Which browser do you use? If you have Firefox 4, sign up to the HTML5 trial @ http://www.youtube.com/html5
HTML5 is the latest video standard and doesn't require Flash player. Google is in the process of converting all its files to work with the new format. It may solve you problem. If you don't have Firefox 4, you can get it from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/
IE8 doesn't support HTML5.
To clean out your temp files, go to Start | Run, type: CLEANMGR and click OK. Click OK again to start the utility. Tick all the boxes except "Compress old files" because the latter takes too long, and then click OK. You can run this utility any time you wish by the way.
The above steps will hopefully fix your problem. If not, post here again please. -
My delete button in my to do's closes the app. I've closed all the background running apps and have restarted my phone and even tried syncing to my iTunes. It's driving me nuts. Please help!

thanksI haven't gone to the trouble of actually testing to see which uses more CPU power, but Firefox has been faster than Safari on every Mac I've ever owned.
To see CPU usage by process, open the terminal (in Utilities) and enter 'top' at the command line. You might have to expand the window as processes don't appear in any logical order.
It could also be hardware-related: I have late 2009 mini with similar specs and it pinwheels easily. -
I have an imac and a macbook pro. my creative suite 5.5 design premium is on them both. I'm about to take them in to the apple store because they are running bad and have them completely restored to factory settings. when I get them back will i be able to re-install my adobe creative suite to both of my computers using my same product code from when i first bought it?
Yes. Just make sure to deactivate the license on both systems using Apple menu --> Deactivate while one of the suite programs is running.

The many "failed" warnings that etrecheck sometimes spews mean nothing. Those warnings are not a reason to reinstall the OS, or to do anything else at all. They should be ignored.
The better your description of the problem, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? What changes did you make, if any, just before it became slow? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup. -

Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I am running Yosemite and have just bought Pro Tools Express with the intent to Upgrade to Pro Tools 11. Pro Tools Express is not compatible with Yosemite and will not install. How can I get this done?
I have had this problem for close to a year. I have an Extreme base station, two Airport Express's and multiple G4 Mac's with up to date software. I have spent a huge amount of time trouble shooting, resetting, reapplying software and finally calling Applecare without any help. It would be great to get this problem solved.

I don't see an issue, but if you mean why didn't you get most of your memory back you need to see what else is using storage. Go to Settings/General/Usage. Wait a bit for it to calculate storage allocation, then when it finishes you can see how much storage each app uses.

Firefox 6 will not load when I click the icon. I have tried to uninstall it, both through the control panel and going straight to help.exe. In both cases nothing happens. How do I uninstall this program?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

I have downloaded an audio talk from Audio Audible, and have authorised my computer to for my Audible Account, yet I still can't get the computer to play the download.
The apps I currently have are for the i phone and i pad but i would like to see this on this computer
On the Mac Air launch iTunes. Then connect either the iPad or iPhone.
Select the iPad or iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the source list.
Then select Apps from the menu on the right.
If you don't see the apps listed there, from your iTunes menu bar (top of your screen), click Store > Authorize This Computer.
See if that makes a difference...
