I am trying to backup some free books I got and downloaded onto my Ipod touch. Now I cannot get it to sync onto my computer. Can anyone help me? I would hate to lose them as they are no longer free.
There seems to only be an option to transfer FROM my computer but not TO my computer from my device.

Overdrive media are not iTunes purchases so they do not transfer with:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
Overdive media are copy protected so you can only read them via Overdrive. I do not understand what you mean by free books and are now paid. Overdrive are typically books for a public library.
You can try looking on your iPod via a third-party program like PhoneView, Touch copy or the free program iFunBox

It sounds like you are connected to the internet otherwise, but iTunes is giving you this error message when trying to get info from the Gracenote database to retrieve your album info. I had a couple of articles I wanted to recommend you try. First this one named:

You can edit information in the Info window to make it easier to find and sort items in your library. For example, you can:
Group individual movements on a classical CD into one work by indicating the name of the work (for example, “Piano concerto in A Minor, Op. 54”) in the Grouping field.
Group songs that are part of a compilation together in your library by clicking the Info button and selecting the “Part of a compilation” checkbox.
Identify the individual artists on a tribute album in the Artist field, and type “various” in the Album Artist field.
Create your own genre category by clicking Info and typing the category in the Genre field.
Change the order in which tracks on a CD play by changing the numbers in the Track Number fields.
Create a Smart Playlist that includes only songs that are just the right speed for your workout by typing the number of beats per minute in the BPM field. For instructions, see Create a Smart Playlist.
Identify a movie as a music video (click the Options button, and choose Music Video from the Media Kind pop-up menu).
Identify an item that you imported from a CD as an audiobook, so it appears under Audiobooks instead of Music (click the Options button and choose Audiobook from the Media Kind pop-up menu). If you do this, iTunes also remembers your place in the audiobook.
Enter custom sorting criteria for an item. Select the item, choose File > Get Info, click Sorting, and enter the custom text.

My TC is a 3rd gen.
I actually had to reset to standard defaults not only once but twice. The first time I simply returned to my old profile but that only led to the same message error on the network settings (i.e. IP by default, cannot connect to the internet). Therefore the second time around I kept my profile as backup and re-created a new one plus a guest one.
The airport utility then signaled to issues remaining:
1) Internet access was cut - this I solved by simply reseting the cable modem
2) There were no DNS Servers - I simply copied the ones I had from the previous setup and it worked
I did have AppleCare....
I'm online again and I hope for good.

PS. a small tip - I made captures of all my settings in Network settings, Airport Utility and Network utility using Grab in case of ... if anything it is just handy to get back settings that your are missing when setting up a new configuration -

Can anyone help with my problem. I have one document that just can't seem to be exported to Word. It doesn't have any special formatting. A footer with page numbers is the only special thing. Anyone have any ideas? I've tested other docs, and they seem to export fine, just this one document. There is nothing special to this document either. i've imported the original from Word, modified it as pages, then tried to export it again. Nothing. i've also copied and pasted the whole doc into a new sheet, and tried to save it again as word, nothing again. I'm running out of things to do on this
It probably have something that is corrupt. Sometimes one has to try to export to another format (if it can be done) like .rtf and the open in Pages again. Or copy and paste to a textEdit document, save it and open it in Pages. Last resort is to recreate the document.

5 Different movies have been deleted from my Itunes account. They have been purchased and downloaded to my Ipad. I cannot watch them on my desktop that I used to download them in the first place. Hi I have just got an ipod touch, I have had a classic for years with no trouble. I have tried to download my itunes library to my touch but only my purchased music transfers. How do I transfer all my music without the home sharing as this at the moment seems to be the only way to see all of my library?

But you'll have to use your Apple ID to sync bought media to her device. Disable all other things you don't want to sync like photos, contacts, etc. -
