I am unable to create a new email message when I connect to the internet through google

I am unable to create a 'new email message'when I connect to the bigpond.com webmail through the internet from my ipad2.

Try this. Settings>Safari>Block Pop-Ups>Off.
I have an Exchange account that behaved similarly to what you are describing. I finally realized that I had to allow pop ups in order to access my mail on the server.

hmm, well I would say that raises the possibility of an issue with your ipad, and lessens one with your router.

  • My iphone 5 is receiving email but will not connect to the internet

I am receiving/sending emails but cannot connect to the internet.  I already did a shut down (holding down the Home Button and Shut off at the same time). What else can I do?

Sending and receiving email means you are connecting to the Internet.
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions and make sure you don't have Restrictions enabled and if you do that Safari is not being blocked.

  • New ipad will no longer connect to the internet.

This is not a network problem - all my other devices work fine and are connecting (including iphone, MacBook, girlfriends "new" ipad). Mine worked fine for months then suddenly, i get the wifi signal but in settings, you just see the spinning gear - not the check mark. When you try to open a web page, it just says "not connected to the internet"
This is the second time this has happend with the 3rd generation ipad.  I had an ipad 1 for years and no probs, then i upgraded to the new one and it stopped connecting after a month or two. PC World said they had a few people report the same problem so just gave me a refund. Bought a replacement new ipad at Apple and now the same thing has happened to that one.  I guess i could take it back to apple but surely there is a fix for this?

I should add that i have also done:
    - reset (holding two buttons)
    - updated software to latest IOS
    - done a full restore to original settings
None of this has solved the problem.

I had my iphone stolen 9 months ago. I'd set up the find my iphone function set to erase all contents when the phone was next connected to the internet. 1 hour ago I had an email telling me my phone was erased last May. Why would it take so long to inform me?

It is unlikely that any of us fellow users would know. Ask Apple. They're not here.

  • Brand new 15" MBP can't connect to the internet

I just bought a new Macbook Pro this weekend. When I turned it on this morning, the date had been set to December 31, 2000, and it couldn't connect to the internet.
I manually changed the date and tried to use network diagnostics. No luck. I then deleted the list of networks the laptop recognizes and reset my DLink router. Still no luck.
I'm not sure what to do and this isn't the first time I've had issues with a Macbook and its wireless. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Spencer

If I open network connect on this computer it says
    IP address: 99.233.208.230
    subnet mask: 255.255.254.0
    Router: 99.233.208.1
entering 99.233.208.5 in my g4 powerbook has no effect - it still doesn't connect, but I do still get the green light from network status, as before.
If I manually enter all the fields exactly as they appear in network status on the computer that does connect, including DNS server and Search Domains the behaviour is a bit different - instead of giving me an error immediately it acts as though it will load but hangs for a few minutes and then times out.
I guess I'm thinking that something must have gone wrong with my installation so that some important part of mac os x networking isn't working properly. does this seem possible? And how would I find out to be sure?

  • When we connect to the internet or visit a new web page, a new tab opens and an alert pops up as follows: "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded"

When we start the internet or navigate to a new page, a new tab opens with the following alert: "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded." We "x" out of it, but a new tab, with the same alert appears. The problem occurs again when we try to navigate to another web page. A real nuisance. We've scanned the computer but found nothing but Adware cookies.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • New modem, no longer able to connect to the internet through the router.

I have a WRT54GS router which worked fine.  My modem died and I got a new modem through my ISP, Comcast.  I can't get the router to work through the new modem.  There must be something simple I'm not doing, because there was nothing wrong with the router before.  Is there a simple solution to my problem?
    Thanks,
    Larry

Open the set up page of the router by launching an Internet Explorer Browser and type the address bar, 192.168.1.1 and press enter. When it prompts for the username and password, leave the username field empty and provide password as admin and click on ok.On the main setup page the ""Internet Connection Type"" should be on ""Obtain IP Automatically - DHCP “. Click on the Save Settings button. Now click on the sub tab ""MAC address clone"". Click on enable...Click Clone & click save settings
Check WAN Ip on Status page of router .... If getting Valid Ip .... try going online...If not ... power cycle for the entire network and then, try to go online.

  • My iPad is telling that it cannot connect to server when checking for emails but I can connect to the internet

My email was working great, I tried sending a large attachment and couldn't, I cleared that and now my email cannot connect to server, internet is working fine, any suggestions?

Sometimes it helps to close the mail app and reboot the iPad. That will reset the app and the iOS system. Try mail again after that.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Mail app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Emails not working - not connected to the internet

    Hi,
I recently upgraded the OS on my z10, now running 10.1.0.4181. After the upgrade, my emails stopped working. When I go to accounts in settings, for my email accounts it tells me " your device is not connected to a network. Please connect to a network and try again."
All the social media applications along with all social messaging apps are working just fine.
Now to troubleshoot, I have tried almost everything including re subscribing to my data package. And still I can browse and use all other apps except for emails ( giving the same message).
If anyone has experienced the same or knows the solution, it would be great if you could help me out here.
    Thanks.

When powered on hold down the power button for 10 seconds, this will reset your phone. Do this before the below steps if you have not already done it.
No luck, go to Settings, Network Connections, tap your network.
Change Network Selection Mode from Automatic to Manual wait a few  seconds, if Scan does not start, tap Scan.
Choose your Network, do not choose any of the others they will not work.
