Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try the following steps:
Restart the device by holding down the on/off button until the power down slider appears.
Try entering your password in another location (i.e. when you are using a different wifi network)
Reset all settings (settings > general > reset), this resets some of your settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy. It does not remove any of your data.
If this doesn’t help your best option may be to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.

    If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

    First I would try quitting out of the mail application by double tapping the home button and holding down on the app until it starts shaking, then hit the red minus that shows up in the top left corner. After try turning your phone off completely and turning it back on.

  • Canceled Orders: Unable to Verify Information

    Since July 12, I have been having an issue with my online orders at Best Buy being canceled.  A few minutes after I place an order I would receive an e-mail stating that my order was canceled, because Best Buy was unable to verify my information.  This has become very frustrating and annoying not being able to order anything online at Best Buy after three weeks.  So far, I have contacted customer service four times on this issue and they have yet to resolve this issue.  The first time I called customer service the agent told me it was an issue with the credit card.  Even though, I explained to them that I was able to use the same card everywhere else in this same time period, including a Best Buy store, without an issue.  I even called the credit card company to make sure there was nothing wrong with the credit card.  The credit card company could see the temporary charges from Best Buy for the canceled orders.  The agent stated that they would have the back office team look at the issue.  After not hearing from anyone I sent an e-mail to customer service.  The agent replied back with really no information on what was going on, just that they have sent my concerns to Best Buy's local team for further investigation.  Again, after not hearing from anyone I placed another call to customer service.  While this agent tried everything they could, both the agent and their supervisor did not have any idea what was wrong.  The agent stated that they would send my issue to the verification team.  After two weeks of having orders canceled I sent another e-mail to customer service about this issue.  The response back from customer service was that there doesn't appear to be a problem with the shipping address, so it's likely that Best Buy was not able to validate all the information on the order.  The agent recommend trying to purchase the products from my local store and not online.  I am annoyed that the agent would suggest this as both of the local stores are about an hour away from me and both local stores are smaller stores that do not carry everything.  This is why I order online, so that I don't have to make this drive every time that I want to shop at Best Buy. After three frustrating weeks of trying to have this issue resolved I am hoping posting it in this form will get this issue solved for me.  As I see in the form that other customers are having or had the same issue.  I just cannot understand what information Best Buy cannot verify.  If the credit card is being charged then the credit card information and the billing information is correct, or there would not be temporary charges on the credit card for the canceled orders.  The last agent stated that there was no issue with the shipping address, the same shipping address that has been used for 10+ years on hundreds of online orders from Best Buy.  So, what does that leave for Best Buy not to be able to verify?  Is Best Buy trying to tell me that they no longer want this elite member to shop online at Best Buy anymore?

    Might I suggest a password reset?
    Maybe you can click on the Reset Password link instead of trying to log in at appleid.apple.com.
    I'm not sure if that would work, but its worth a try.

  • I can no longer use my aol on mac mail. When I set up the aol account name and password I get a message that says "Unable to verify account name or password". This is on all my Apple devices. Seems like an AOL server issue but no help from them!

    I can no longer make my AOL e mail work with Mac Mail on all my devices. When I try to set up the account and put in the correct aol account and password I get the message "Unable to verify account name or password". I know the account name and password is correct as I can open the AOL e mail page on Safari. I have changed the password, and it still does not work. AOL tech support has been no help. AOL email worked for years but last week due to suspected spam activity AOL locked my AOL account. I got that straightened out but now i cannot set it up on any of my devices: Macbook Air, Ipad, I pad mini and iPhone 6 without that message. I took everything to Apple store and everything is set up correctly on my devices. AOL tech support is no help and keeps giving me different solutions and answers, none of which has worked. Any solutions out there? All my Apple Software is up to date on all my devices

    Delete your Gmail account from the Mail/Contacts/Calendars settings page, and then add it back in using the new Gmail password.

  • I am unable to add hotmail account into my ipad 2.  Hotmail says the problem is with apple since I can access the account in all other devices except my ipad. I need to get pass, "unable to verify my account information"  Apple personnel appear helpless

    I have an Ipad2 and have tried severally to re-add my hotmail account but couldn't.  In collaboration with Apple personnel today (10/17/2012), we routed the Settings and General via the home page but solution appears elusive.  I can't get pass "Unable to verify your account information"  Hotmail feedback has it that the problem is with the iPad since I can access the hotmail account on my laptop, desktop, and smart phone,  Can someone please help me in this matter. 

    I see you have resolved this problem but for anyone else trying to sort out their Hotmail account on their iPad try the following:
    Try deleting your Hotmail account from your iPad/iPhone (making sure you can access your emails from your PC or other device as all your email history will also be deleted). Then under Settings go to 'Add an account' and click 'Other'(don't use the Hotmail heading). Fill in the required details for your Hotmail account and wait for account to be verified. This has just worked for me. Good luck!
