You don't see a screen with icons when you triple-click the home button? Or slide the screen with your finger?

How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat. We had this working using Messages and Facetime (on the new machine) talking to my existing iChat account. One day last week, when Facetime rang, my kids answered on the iPad. Dang! Now it's all fouled up! The new iMac won't see my AIM account name and shows that I'm offline, because the iPad is off. My buddy list doesn't see the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?

With the new iOS everything keeps dropping out to the home screen
After updating to the latest iOS my iPad will drop out of any program to the main screen what gives?
To all posters who are having this precise issue: Wi-Fi works upon rebooting, and connects to the closest network, and will work for some time, HOWEVER it will sporadically lose connection and will no longer see ANY networks until rebooting again.
I Believe i know what is happening here: I think it is a problem with the wifi module running too hot, and shorting out or otherwise losing connection. I'm led to believe this because it looses bluetooth as well which is found on the same module!
Last night I restored iOS 5 (for the 3rd time) and of course it worked on first boot. I stayed connected to my router for about an hour, doing some light internet use (browsing internet, using the remote to control my Apple TV) HOWEVER as soon as I tried to do a Wi-Fi sync to iTunes, to copy over some podcasts, it quit. I tried turning wifi on and off and it just couldn't see the network at all.
When it does more intensive transfers OR if you get farther away from the router, the card boosts up power consumption, gets hot and shuts down. I can see no other solution.
Today at my office I rebooted my phone, immediately connected to my office wifi. It stayed connected 3 hrs, only delivering occasional email. I turned off wifi, came home, turned it back on and it connected immediately. I started a wifi sync and sure enough it quite within 5 min.
I'm quite sure this is a programming/hardware issue because i have absolutely NEVER had an issue until upgrading to iOS 5. I think they are sending too much power or something to the wifi/bluetooth module.
I'm hoping its not permanently frying the module!
Sad thing is, exact same thing happened to my 3G when iOS 4 came out! -
New Airport Extreme (2014) does not see USB Drive
Just fired up my new 2014 Airport Extreme and attached a Toshiba 3 TB USB Drive. My new (late 2013 iMac) does not see the new drive in Disk Utility.
The Extreme works in all other ways; ie, as a router, as a wireless node.
It came to me formated as a Windows drive, so I attached it directly to my MacBook Pro (which saw the drive) and reformated it as a Mac Drive (Journaled, GUILD). It showed up just fine on the MacBook Pro desktop.
When I reattach it to the Airport Extreme, it still does NOT show up in Disk Utility on the iMac.

That drive will not show up in Disk Utility on the Mac.....since the Toshiba hard drive becomes a network drive when it is attached the AirPort Extreme.
Disk Utility will not display a network drive. It will only display drives that are connected directly to your iMac via USB, FireWire, etc.
Check using AirPort Utility to see if the AirPort Exteme recognizes the drive.
Open AirPort Utility, click the AirPort Extreme icon, then click Edit
Click the Disks tab at the top of the next window that appears
The drive will appear here if it is recognized by the AirPort Extreme.
In the example below, my WD Drive is connected to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme. -

Your past purchases are not on the computer. By choosing download all, those purchases will download to the computer.
Once authorized to your iTunes account you can control the computer.
When syncing the iPad the first time you will get the warning " this iPad is synced with another computer, syncing will erase all contents and replace with the contents of this computer"

How do I get music from my PC, that was originally from CDs, to the iPod touch? I think you have to get them on iTunes 1st, then sync them over to the iPod? How do you do this whole process? Thanks, I'm very NEW at this.
To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
The sync the music to your iPod by:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

Hi Team, I am fairly new at this & I'm trying for the first time to download a movie, however its not allowing me to play as it says I need to download quicktime which I have tried to do, I have this application now but its still not allowing me to play movie, any help please for someone who hasnt got a clue

I purchased an audiobook in Nov 2012 using iPhone 4S and then upgraded to iPhone 5 in Dec. Now I am not seeing the audio book in purchase history in iTunes. This means I am not able to get the book in my new iPhone. Please help.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store. I have recently fully updated my mac to 10.8.2 and i am trying to install a small facebook application but every time i come to chose the disk it says ' OS X facebook developer preview can not be installed on this disk. This volume of this disk does not meet the requirements for this update' any ideas on how to get round this?
thanksThat may be the new Mountain Lion "sandbox" protective software kicking in, possibly, because ML "thinks" that App doesn't meet ML's new strict security requirements. A common phenomena. If you feel the 3rd party App is really OK, you can override this feature and install the new App by holding down the Command key when you click to install the new App. That's one possibility for the error message appearing. If not, another possibility is that that Developer Preview software package requires some previous piece of software be installed prior to downloading this Preview. You would have to check the Facebbok websiste's Developer Forums for help if this is the case.

Either the power brick is damaged, or the charging circuit is on the blink, or both. Either way, a trip to the Apple Store or the Apple Authorized Service Provider is in order, as this ain't no bargain basement toy.
In the meantime, can attempt an SMC Reset to see if it helps. -
So only a few bucks left for the edge upgrade, decided to edge up since it gave me the option to do so, I figure why not?
Process seems to go fine until i'm in the checkout for a new device.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.
