    The device is locked to the carrier it was purchased through unless you specifically purchased it as unlocked directly from Apple.
    Only the carrier to whom it is locked can authorize it's unlocking.  To do so, the user much contact them to start the unlock process.

    Yes, you got the phone which was currently eligible for Early Edge at the time. This changes from time to time. When the iPhone 6/6+ was first released those were the ONLY phones you could purchase on Early Edge. This was for September and October of 2014. You would not have been able to purchase any other phone with Early Edge at the time. At the time, this made a lot of android phone owners angry, just as it is making the OP(an iPhone owner) angry now. Then it was the Droid Turbo ONLY, then it was....
    One of the requisites AS LISTED ON THE EDGE PAGE is that your line must be eligible for an upgrade. Verizon lifts this requirement IF you want to purchase a specific phone. If the phone you want is not eligible for Early Edge at this moment, it may be at some point in the future and the phone CURRENTLY available may NOT be available for Early Edge. You were able to get the phone you wanted on Early Edge because it was the phone(or one of the phones) eligible at the time for Early Edge.
    Verizon does not have a link for Early Edge because it is not always available AND the eligible phones change from time to time. This is no different than any other special they occasionally run.
    Regardless, since a link WAS given for Edge which DOES list upgrade eligibility as being a requirement, if someone DOES NOT fulfill that requirement it is not out of the question that other portions of Edge may be different, too, such as what you posted "All Verizon Wireless smartphones, tablets and basic phones are eligible for Verizon Edge." If Verizon relaxes a requirement to enter into Edge, why is it so hard to fathom they may ALSO change something else such as which phones are eligible???
    The fact that the OP IS NOT able to purchase an iPhone on Early Edge simply reinforces this fact.

    First, grow up.  Just because YOUR phone isn't working, doesn't mean Apple put out bad software.  I've not had any difficulty, nor has anyone else I know.  And just how is Apple risking lives with Bluetooth kits not working?  It's YOUR decision to talk on the phone or text and drive.  Not Apple's.
    We're users here, volunteering our time to help others.  Posts like yours, which are whiny and ranting, simply means we're likely to ignore you and not provide you with any help.  Not to mention, it makes you look absolutely foolish.
    Further making you look foolish is the fact that you haven't even asked a technical support question, nor have you provided anyone here with any troubleshooting steps you might have taken, including those recommended in the user guide.

    Facetime only works via WiFi. Are you trying to set up Facetime with a T-Mobile account?

    First, try to reset by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
    If this does not help, connect in recovery mode and restore, explained in this article: iOS: Unable to update or restore

    try resetting your network settings: Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings. This works fine if something is messed up with your carrier bundle.

    HI Jason269. Thanks for your reply, however I wrote that I already have "All events" checked. If All Events is checked and it doesn't diaplay all events, how do I fix? It seems this is a common issue, as I have read many others on here state the same problem.
    I believe my problem occurred when I synced my iMac calendar to my iPad calendar using yahoo. Yesterday, I unsynced them on my iMac controls. When I checked my iPad calendar, all of my old entries reappeared - but only for five seconds and disappeared again. So, the data is saved and still there but cannot be displayed, even when I have All events checked. In fact, it only shows my individual entries for the last two months, but does show all my recurring entries. If I switched to last six months, I will see everything for the last six months. If I switch back to all events, it is only for the last two months.
    As I mentioned, others on here have expressed exactly the same issue, including the two month example and having used yahoo.
    For legal purposes, I need to be able to use the information from my indidual calendar entries in an upcoming court case. So I really need to fix this ASAP!

    if it doesnt match that means your iPhone is not provisioned for the carrier you are trying to use. Your iPhone would need to be unlocked in order to use on other carriers. You will need to contact your carrier to see if this iPhone is unlocked py providing them the IMEI. If the iPhone is not unlocked you will need to contact the carrier that the iPhone is locked to to see if they will unlock the device to use on another carrier.

    Hi, need help. Safari app working fine until just now. Webpage not appearing and when trying to open the app, its a white page. Like you see pages, bookmark, the search tab, but when trying to press any of the buttons, it is unresponsive. When i try to go to setting to see if the problem can be fix, my safari setting isn't open either. I try going to icloud and try to turn off and on the safari data, in hopes that it would work. Nothing. I have done reseting network, and currently resetting all setting to see if this will work. I also did a soft restart, hard restart, turn on and off the phone multiple times. All other apps are responsive but safari. My itunes won't let me sync my phone and in order for me to do that, i would have to reset phone to factory setting, which would be a last option for me.

    Reset the device:
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
    No data is lost due to a reset.

    Tried to use 'render/lighting effects' on 5 more or less new different laptops now. All kind of Window versions.
    They all have at least 4GB RAM. The Graphic Card is compatible.
    Layer to work on is RGB-Type.
    It's all about Photoshop CC 2014, trial version.
    When I go to 'Lighting effects' it says first:
    'The 3D features require that 'Use Graphics Processor' is enabled in the Performance preferences. Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly.'
    - I switched the 'Use Graphics Processor' on and off and restarted new - nothing happens.
    - Video card is compatible.
    Second it says:
    ''Could not apply the workspace because there is not enough memory (RAM)'
    - RAM on all the computers I tested it with is at least 4GB
    Please help!

    We would need to know the amount of Video ram you have. If it is above 512 MB, then check for driver updates.

    The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the Display tab.
    On the Display tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the Device section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has.

  • Screen in the ipad 2 is not working but not warranty because of scratches in the back?

    I recently bought an Ipad 2 with apple care, suddenly few days ago the screen stopped working. I reset, restored everything with no success.
    After speaking with the customer support over the phone several times (almost 100$ in phone bill!!!) they told me that I could not substitute the product within the due warranty because of some scratches in the back of the devices.
    Although they realized that the scratches have nothing to do with the screen issue, they said that these scratches are categorized as "accidental damages" and therefore the warranty doesn't cover that!
    I tried to explain that I don't care if my Ipad as some scratches and i don't want that to be covered, I only want the screen to be working and this is an obvious problem of manifacturing!
    Bottom line they are now asking 500$ in order to change my 3 weeks old IPAD 2 malfunctioning only because the external part has got some scratches!
    Is this standard?

    Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues with the multi-touch display on your iPad 2. The following resource outlines troubleshooting steps for this symptom:

    Restart your device
    Hold the On/Off button until "slider to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
    If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
    Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
    If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.
    If the steps above don't resolve your issue, please schedule a service appointment with an Apple Retail Store for evaluation. If an Apple Retail store is not an option, contact Apple to find out your best service option or see the Service FAQ for your product.

  • Apple Keboard does not work?  (Not the new aluminum one)

    I think there is a problem with my Apple keyboard. It was working fine earlier today, but it is acting really strange right now. For example, when I start my iMac with the keyboard plugged in, the caps lock light flashes but at the login in screen, the caps lock key won't light up and the keyboard doesn't work. (I can't type in the password for my account.) When I unplug the keyboard and then plug it back in, all I get is a whole bunch of dots (the ones that appear when you enter your password) and none of the keys work (caps lock doesn't light up, and backspace doesn't work).
    I have tried using the keyboard on another computer (a Windows computer) but the keyboard doesn't work on that either. Windows installs the drivers, or rather initializes the device through the Found New Hardware wizard, but none of the keys work (caps lock doesn't light up, either).
    Is it time to get a new keyboard and is there anything I can do to make sure the keyboard is the problem?
    *The keyboard has not been dropped or damaged, and nothing has been spilled on it.

    Why should Apple fix the problem? Maybe you should consider NOT upgrading if an expensive piece of (obsolete) software you're running won't work with it...
