I bought an iPad 5 days before my mum did. My one set up from switching on. My mums what a nightmare had to take it back to the shop for them to down load iCloud. How can they sell 2 different products?
I bought an ipad2 5 days before my mum. Mine started to set up from the minute I switched it on. However my mums what a nightmare. After many hours of trying to solve the problem and searching the Internet we took it back to the shop. This one had to have iclouds downloaded from iTunes. Was told that they are the same? When you looked at the boxes the discription on the back was different and mine had a tiny silver cloud sticker on it which ment it didn't have to down load th iOS soft ware from iTunes. I wish I had known at the time that there was 2types out there as I would have asked for my mums to be the same as mine. Not happy.
Sounds like one unit had iOS 5, the other had iOS 4. Unfortunately it happens that some units are shipped from the factory at different times with different Operatin Systems installed.

What Mac model do you have? You might be able to upgrade the OS to Tiger 10.4 or Leopard 10.5.
Even browsers for Tiger 10.4 will get the update message.
You could try a newer browser than Safari, which is obsolete, by downloading Firefox v2.0.0.20 at http://www.oldapps.com/mac/firefox.php

I've recently installed IOS 7.0.3. on my Ipad4. With the latest automatic upgrade of First Class yesterday the textfields for loggning in disappears upworth. How can I correct this.
HALF-SOLUTION!!!! (Restoring only, basically.)
Restore the phone via iCloud.com
1. Go to iCloud.com , and log in.
2. If you want a back up, make sure you back it up to itunes now!
3. Now back to iCloud.com - select the device you want. Press "Erase iPhone" (or iPad, iPod whatever).
You will go through a few steps. Skip the phone number and leave a message, as it isn't lost. Your phone will be restored. No need for plugging in!
4. IMPORTANT: Just set it up as usual. Language, country blah. But then you'll get to a step where it says something like "This iPhone was erased with iCloud. Log in with the Apple ID you used to erase it". In this case, my Dad's. So please do that. Later on, the phone will ask for an Apple ID to be used for the phone. I put my own one as I didn't want my dads!!!! Lol....
5. Plug into iTunes and back-up.
As for updating, I'm still on 7.0.2,,, it ain't working on my phone or itunes!! :( -

My iPad has to be really really close to the router for it to have internet. How can I make it so I can go around the house with it? My iPad has been like this for a couple of months, and it has really irritated me. My friend came over and he had to download iTunes for something on the computer. Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.

No. You can turn your 6G Nano in to be recycled at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to sell the iPod on Craigslist or eBay and use the proceeds from the sale towards the purchase of the new 7G nano.

When I click on GBookmarks on the menu bar, my bookmarks don't drop down anymore. How can I get my bookmarks to show again? What shows up now when I click on the GBookmarks are 4 choices: Add bookmarks, manage bookmarks, options, and refresh. How can I get my menu of booksmarks to drop down again? I can go to manage bookmarks and then find my bookmarks, but it's a 3 step process now instead of one. What happened here?

I plugged my Ipod touch into my Dell laptop and went to Itunes. Itunes told me I should down load an upgrade, so I did. Itunes said the down load would take two hours. I started the down load, but after two + hours (&longer) , after several starts and stops the down load never completed.
I recently got a (fake anti virus) virus and it damaged my computer. I got it fixed and reinstalled the software and it appears to be working correctly. Could this be the part of the problem ?
Would it help if I reloaded the Itunes (off an external HD) or downloaded it again from Itunes ?
ThanksI doubt it. For my updates, it has typically taken me many tries/retries. Like for you, the download would stop. and I would have to restart from the beginning. If you get a network timed out error try disabling the security software on your computer.
