I reinstalled iTunes on my PC. Also tried downloading via iTunes on iPad and iPhone. The latter is not possible because it tells me that I already bought the products. The purchases have already been charged to my account!

HT5361 I have Snow Leopard on my late model IMac. I downloaded Mountail Lion and paid for it from the Mac Store. It will not install. It takes me through several pages and then button to install is greyed out. A message that this disc is used for Time Mac

I have a late mode IMac 27" running Snow Leopard. I downloaded Mountain Lion from the Apple Store and paid for it. When I trie to install it took me through the first few pages of installation such as agrreeing to terms and the Lion Page showed up asking where I wanted to intall Mountain Lion. The install button was greyed out. I also had a message this disc is used for Time Machine. I had no other disc to choose from. Time Mahine was in the OFF position. I tried hooking up an external drive and tried using it as th Time Machine Backup. That did not work and it also said this disc is used by Time Machine. I have read of several other cases like this but have found no solution other than doinh a complee wipe of the hard drive and doing a reinstall which I really want to avoid if I can.

Look at the root of your hard drive for a folder called Backups.backupdb.
Or, a sparse bundle disk image for one of mobile computers that might have tried to back up to your Mac.
If you have those, remove them and try again.

    Do you remember any of the names of the yoga classes you downloaded?
If you do try searching your iPad for them using the search function.
    On your iPad's home screen, use one finger and slide down to revel the search box, and then type the name of one of the classes. It's possible that the files are located in a different area.
     Also is your iPad sync'd to another computer in your house? Are these audio files and video files? Can you download them again from yogadownloads.com ?

M4A is another name (actually, the file extension) for the AAC audio format. It is used in iTunes, but frequently has compatibility problems when used outside of Apple-land.
Does your car player expect MP3 format? If so you can convert your files by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
Also, unless you enjoy doing format conversions, you also have the option to buy your music in MP3 format in the first place, from another music download store, e.g. Amazon MP3.
MP3 can be used in iTunes, iPod, iPhone and just about every other player, program, and device.

I am having trouble watching American Horror Story which I downloaded on itunes. HT4097 i have tried to restore ipad and continously it gives an error code of 1604. i have also set ipad in recovery mode multiple times and everytime the restore shows an error code of 1604. How do I resolve this?

I was trying to update the iOS to version 6. The iPad was backed up and when trying to update the iOS 6 it errored with -1 error code. I set the iPad in recovery mode and tried to Restore it. It then gave an error code of 1604. I have tried the steps mentioned in the troubleshooting article for 1604 error and so far no luck restoring my iPad. Please help.

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

The iPad Screen is almost square, HD TVs are rectangular so will never be full screen. are both places where screen size may change inadvertantly. Use higher resolutions, but lower screen zoom.

Have you tried copying it to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and seeing if it plays ok on your computer ? If it does then try deleting it from your iPad and then sync it back and see if it then plays. I received this email from Apple and this corrected the problem for me... I only had to reset the iTunes cache
1) Open iTunes
2) At the top menu, click File > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac)
3) In the Preferences menu, click the Advanced tab
4) In the Advanced menu, you should see a button that says "Reset Cache". Please click this button.
