I can not open firefox.I have tried downloading a new firefox but the download disappears,I just can't get into firefox so now I am using safari on my mac

The problem happened when i "stop forced" firefox when it was downloading.

Best route here is to uninstall iTunes completely using the Windows Control Panel.
Make sure you know exactly which version of Win 7 you're running.
Restart your computer from cold (with no iTunes).
Go to Apple website and download the correct version for your operating system. Install following Apple prompts.
Once installed, close iTunes.
Restart your computer from cold (with new iTunes).
Start iTunes - all should be operating well! Good luck ...

I have replaced my magic mouse by a new one but the vertical scrolling doesn't work on each of them. I don't use windows on my Mac. Can somebody provide a solution ?

I had a magic mouse for my Imac and, as I got some problems, i Decide to buy a new one.
Among other problems, the vertcal scroling didn't work and I thought it was a mouse problem.
So, I'm very surprised to notice that this function doesn't work on my new mouse.
Searching in the help, I only find a reserve when using BootCamp for Windows, what I don't use.
Can anybody tell me how I can solve this problem ?

Sorry, I'm not sure why Firefox 6 is no longer remembering your zoom settings, but installing the '''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/ No Squint add-on]''' might help. No Squint provides options to remember zoom settings for specific web pages, or for all pages.

After updating itunes to the latest version it will now not open. I have tried reinstalling the programme, rebooting and all other suggestions, to no avail. this not the first time I have had issues with itunes. Frankly I find it completely unacceptable .

This not the first time I have had frustrating problems with the Apple system. Perhaps someone could suggest a more reliable system to switch to. Someone with a better troubleshooting system.

Going all the way back to Firefox 3.0.5 is shear foolishness, it is 14 security versions behind the last 3.0.19 release. And that version is missing at least a dozen security updates that were applied to the 3.5 and 3.6 versions after support for 3.0.x ended.
If you are not happy with Firefox 4, you should have installed Firefox 3.6.17. That is very similar to the 3.0 and has all the security fixes that have been released since support for Firefox 3.0.x ended last year.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Boot into Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot can take a few minutes compared to a normal boot.
Once you are in Safe Mode open System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items
If you have anything listed there to launch when you startup your Mac, delete all items.
Then go to the Apple menu / Restart.
You can also use Safe Mode to do a "live verification" of the startup disk in case it needs repairing.

Links in emails are not opening.. Have tried rebooting, enabling/disabling restrictions in settings but all in vain! Any help or suggestions would be gladly welcomed.

Anyone know anything about getting links to open in emails? It's as though links are just not responding.. Have tried settings/general/restrictions and enabling / disabling but to no avail.

A few more things you could try:
Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings...you will then have to log back into your wifi network
If you have access to your router's settings you could try changing the channel your network is on.
Try changing the password/key of your router...a bit of a pain since all other devices will have to login again but sometimes it can help with connectiviity issues.

Right-click on your Windows Taskbar and select Start Task Manager. Look in Task Manager for processes running that are Firefox-related, such as Firefox.exe or plugin-container.exe. If you see either of those, right-click each of them and select "End process". Then try again to start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]].

Try rebooting the iPad as well. You might be getting an inaccurate reading and rebooting might clear that up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I have downloaded the new Firefox 4 but it will not open and i have tried to uninstall and reinstall the new version.
