I can't download ios5 pls help

Hi!! it's alrealdy some time since the IOS5 came out, but still i cannot dowload it, every time it's on about 500MB it just stops and appears an error due connection issues and it says that the time exceeded or something else, but the internet is not the problem, i don't know what else i can do!!!

Even a cursory search of this forum would have led you to the following: disable all antivirus software and disable firewalls.

Yes I assume so, I was just wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to how. I'm running version 10.6.8 on a macbook, as far as I can see there's no reason why it wouldn't work.
What happens is when I connect iPhone 3GS it alerts me that the iOS5 software is available, but that itunes 10.5 needs to be downloaded first. I click through to start the download for itunes, then it runs software update, which says that my software is up to date, and that's as far as I seem to be able to go. The version of itunes that I am currently running is 10.2.1, and because I can't update itunes, I can't get the ios5 software. No error messages or anything else, just says my software is up to date, when it isn't.
Any thoughts/help much appreciated!

but to answer your question, you can't. Since you are currently running version 4.3.3, it doesn't have the over-the-air software update feature. That feature came out with version 5.0.1. You will need to use a computer (or use a friend's computer or take it into the Apple Store) to update the iPad. Once you have updated it to iOS 5, then you will be able to get future updates without a computer.

You need to connect your iPad to your computer and update the software in iTunes. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and your iPad should be recognized when connected and it should let you know there is a newer version of iOS available for download. When you say that you can't find them anywhere, I assume that you mean that you can't find them on the iPad even though the storage figure says that the photos are there.
You can try this. I don't know if this will work for you but this was recently discovered as solution for phantom photos. This was copied from a post started by gail from maine
Delete all of your Recently Deleted photos from your Recently Deleted folder
Then go to Settings>General>Date & Time, and change the date back to last September when iOS 8 came out, and then go back to the Recently Deleted folder. Although at the Album level it will still say "0" if you tap on the Album, you will be greeted by all of the "Recently Deleted" photos that have surpassed the 30 day limit. Mine went back to when I installed iOS 8.

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
I am starting to believe that Apple is Satan.
