I can't download library book through Overdrive Media to my IPod Touch. It won't transfer from Itunes since new update for the icloud
I've not had a problem before, but since the new update for Itunes, I can't download library books through Overdrive Media to my Ipod touch. It transfers to Itunes but shows a message on my IPod that it can't sync.
I don't recall updating recently, but tonight I found I had the same problem. However, if I plugged my ipod in, it then gave me the option to transfer to just ipod, or library and ipod. However, that raises other problems, because you know we have to change these over from music to audiobooks. Also, ITunes is freezing on me, even after doing a fix reinstall. It looks like it's connecting to the store and I have to end task it. Also, some freaking crap is going on with my ipod. I "lost" my audiobook option I had locked to the bottom of my page. Also, all the other music I had on my ipod is gone, wasn't much as I use this mostly to listen to audiobooks. But the only music album there is the free U2 one Apple gave out a while back. So I'm in it even worse than you right now as I have a 2 day trip planned and was adding more books to my selection, to listen while driving. But try what I told you above. If it does put it on your ipod, you can delete it and "fix" the info in iTunes, then transfer it back.

Hello until recently I was able to download e books from the library to my PlayBook using Overdrive Media Console. I was able to get directly to my PlayBook. However it is now not working. I am unable to download to PlayBook. I have deleted and reinstalled several times. The only way I can read is through my browser. This means I can only read where I have Internet access. I can not understand why it stopped working. I contacted my library but they were not sure what the problem is. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I hope I can figure it out as I enjoy borrowing books from the library.
Looks like nobody on the forum uses overdrive. Threads are mostly a year old if you search for Overdrive on the forum.
The recent reviews on blackberry world say that it no longer works.

Contact the library.
Remember they only sold two million playbooks worldwide which is a tiny number. Support for this minority app may be hard to find.
If you dare, you could try the security wipe and start again, but you may lose all your data as you need to backup and restore which is risky.

Ask your library if their website has been updated to the new system which may work differently.

I downloaded from iTunes a hd movie for the first time. What a disaster ! Keep stopping and looks like after 2 days has not been downloaded. What am I suppose to do? Can I get my money back? How?

It sounds like you might have a slow wifi internet connection? How fast is it with a speed test from your iPad. -

You can download purchases from itunes as long as they still carry them. they may not be available forever.
All of your music and everything esle should be on your computer and backed up with your regular backup copy of your computer.
You can download most itunes purchases on ipad, ipod touch and iphone.
I see no reason to have an ipod and an iphone.
If your ipad/iphone/ipod crash you would have to restore using itunes on your computer.
I would not reccommend using an iphone ipod/ipad without a computer. -

Last night i was downloading the new update for the Iphone4 on my laptop through Itunes. After the download was done, it was starting to install, and then an error came up and didnt get a chance to check it. Now my Iphone is stuck on the screen with the USB pointing to the Itunes Icon and wont do anything else. Any advice on how to get this fixed, or do i need to go to the Apple store and have them look at it.

I did find a book that i had checked out from the library in the documents file. however, the book wants to open in iBooks. i want the book to go to my Simple Touch Nook and i thought that i could only do that through ADE, v. 3, which i have downloaded (several times). however i can’t get the library books to download or go to ADE anymore. I reauthorized the computer, using an Overdrive authorization, but i still can’t get books to download to ADE. i believe that before all this trouble, i had an ADE authorization. I was wondering if i should de-authorize the computer (but don’t know how to do that) and re-insert an ADE authorization. (but of course i don’t really know how to do that either). i have spent so much time one this matter that i can’t remember what i’ve done. Nook and Apple say that this is an ADE problem, and i have reviewed the discussions in the Forums, but so far i haven’t found anything exactly on point — or perhaps i just don’t recognize an answer that is staring me in the face.

I have borrowed audiobooks from the library, using iTunes and Overdrive Media Console for years. some months ago, I was suddenly unable to. thought it was my old computer, so bought a new one. took weeks to be able to get an upgrade from Windows, and when I was finally able to thought my troubles were over.
but, no, now the Overdrive Media says it can not connect to iTunes. someone at Overdrive said iTunes had to be the default player for WMA files, but I can not figure out how to make that happen, since there is nothing that looks like 'WMA files' anywhere on my computer. any advice? I can't afford to purchase audiobooks, and I really miss being able to borrow from the library. this new computer has Windows 8 OSThere is a OneClickdigital ereader available in the App Store. Download that to your iPod to read pdfs and books from the library. And you might need to download the OneClickdigital eaudio player to listen to audiobooks from the library. Once both are downloaded sync you iPod again to transfer them.

That would not be practical or probably even possible since one of the features of recent versions of iTunes and the iTunes Store is to allow new purchases to be automatically downloaded to every device registered to your Apple ID when something is purchased. If you want purchases linked to specific devices, each user should have his or her own iTunes Store account.

I am getting the message "THis movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)." This is the first time I have tried to watch a HD movie that I bought from iTunes from my iMac to my TV. (This is also the first attempt to go from my iMac to my TV.) I have a Samsung LED tv that says it is HDCP compatible with Full HD (1080p) and Native resolution is 1920X1080. I bought a Rocketfish Thunderbolt to/Mini Displayport to HDMI adapter (says support is up to 1920X1200 video resolution) and Mediabridge ULTRA Series HDMI Cable (35 Feet) - High-Speed Supports Ethernet, 3D and Audio Return category 2 certified (supports resolution up to 4K including 1440p, 1080p, 1080i and lower).
I can get the iMac to display on my TV but am guessing that I have not managed the settings correctly in Display for either the iMac or the TV. In addition, I do not have sound yet. Although, the card from Mediabridge says that I need to update my drivers. Any help/advice with the settings for iMac to TV to watch in HD and adding HDMI drivers would be greatly appreciated.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

You can't, only the 5G can go to iOS 7. The 1G can go to 3.1.3, the 2G to 4.2.1

By the way, Spotify comes up on the App store, but theres no option to download - where the download button usually is is blank.Okay - worked with Apple Care last night and found a lot of other things wrong. He tried a restore but it didnt work. My iPod is just screwed up. He told me to take it to my local Apple Store to have it looked at.
