I can't find musics or movies on Itunes store. There are just iPad and iPhone apps. No musics or movies. Just iPad and iPhone options

When I start the itunes store, there are two options on the screen: iPhone and iPad (iPad came set as default). So, when I search musics or movies, I can't find nothing, just some iPad and iPhone apps.
What can I do to find and buy musics and movies?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am new in the mac world.

Thanks so much! My grandaughters played games on the iPad over Xmas and one of their moms said shed restricted their access! Guess they forgot to enable again. Thank you again! Karla

If you update to iOS 4.3.3 you should then see it in the App Store app. If you have iTunes 10.3 on your computer you can also do it there. Otherwise I think that you'll have to go through your purchase history on your account in iTunes on your computer.

I can't find this feature in the itunes store since i updated

alright so when i finally updated my itunes program thing, i went to the store and it used to have some thing at the bottom that told me what types of songs i might like based on what songs i have in my library
and i really liked it, but since i updated i can't find it. is it completely gone or has it just moved? or does nobody even know what i'm talking about?

It is the "Just for You" section.
I have had problems with it most of the time.
It worked from mid Nov to mid Dec and stopped.
I can not get it back again. It is only a "beta",
but it was the main way I purchased music.
No one at Apple seems to want to respond about the
actual status.
The strange thing is that it seems to be working for others
at the same time mine won't work. Not consistant.
I really hope they get it working reliably soon.

I can't find the authorize this computer option in the iTunes store. There is no menu item like this. Can anyone help? Really stinks that the instructions don't match the software. : - (

My old macbook air crashed so i got a new hard drive. i successfully restored all the music i bought on itunes but there are a lot of other songs that i did not obtain through itunes that i cant figure out how to move from my phone to my computer.

i would like to know how to solve this problem without erasing what is currently on my phone.

You can transfer songs that you didn't buy from the iTunes store but it requires third party software such as Suneti. This is one of the best programs I know for the task and unfortunately I'm not aware of any freeware programs that transfer music from an iOS device to the computer.

Can't find tv shows page in itunes store

I followed the directions but there isn't a tv shows tab beside music and audiobooks and such. i have the latest version of i tunes. could this be because i'm in Canada?

Apple only has a license to sell TV Shows in the US at present. The lack of Movies and TV shows is not unique to Canada by any means. The reason that stores for different countries have different content is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies, film companies, TV companies and other copyright holders. These are quite often completely different from country to country and therefore all require their own individual contract negotiations. The varying content is not imposed by Apple, who would have a much easier job if they only had to maintain one multi-national store and deal with one set of licensees.

I don't know about online. There are gradient libraries for Illustrator, but there is no way I know of to get the swatches to move from AI to ID. .ase files don't support gradients or patterns, and pasting a gradient filled object doesn't seem to bring the swatch, either.

HT3281 Can't find my podcast through the iTunes Store search engine

My podcast with the keyword "cairnhill" does not show up when I search the iTunes Store. It was working before Me.Com became iCloud. The podcast is still there and will download when a person subscribe to it. It just won't show up through the iTunes search engine. Can someone help please?

Why can't you purchase stuff from the itunes store if you're not in that country? I'm in South Africa and most of the best things I want to download are on the US itunes, so I try switch to it but it won't let me download or purchase? I don't get it?

I don't get why? What's the harm if you're in a different country? We all pay the same way and the internet was made to connect people over the world, stuff is downloaded from different global destinations millions of times a day. So what's the point of having an itunes store and App Store that limits you to the boring stuff in your own country? You read about these great app's, bands etc and find them in search engines, you have all the Mac products, but then you can't use them coz of where you're currenlty living? It's like a horrible tease!
Is there a way around this? Or what can be done in order to access the things I want?

The reason is licensing - artists/record companies/TV networks/movie distributors all have separate licensing deals in different countries (or no licensing deals at all). It isn't mysterious or secret.
The only way around this is to have an iTunes account in the other country - either a valid credit card with billing address in that country, or an iTunes gift card from that country (though you'll still be asked for a billing address in the country for which you've purchased the card).

Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

I completely understand what is happening. I know that you are connected to the Internet. I made the suggestion because I have seen it work in similar circumstances. The Apple iTunes servers can be a bit fussy about things and sometimes rebooting the router clears up this miscommunication between iTunes and your network.
Have you tried signing into your account and then try to sync again. Go to Store>View Account. You will have to enter your password. Then try to sync again. Or try signing out completely in Store>Sign out. Quit iTunes, sign in again and then try to sync again.
Sometimes refreshing settings will help clear up weird problems.
