I can't finish the installation of Acrobat XI Pro, because a window pops up and tells me to close the SafariNotificati application, but i haven't got anything open other that the Creative cloud window, it always stops at 42%, what can I do? All other applications downloaded without any problem

I am having a similar problem. Running Xp.
Latest revision of firefox.
After using firefox for a while if I exit, parent.lock is locked and i have to reboot to reload firefox.
I have killed all firefox applications from task manager (usually there are none). and I have tried 3 different "file unlock" programs including unlocker to no avail.
I also recently installed a program that shows -all- open files, and parent.lock is not listed, and thus not closable/unlockable from there.

If the failed installation of Java is preventing your computer from shutting down normally, then I'd like you to please first try to force quit the unresponsive installer.

Did you purchase your product from these firms like Amazon? If yes, this is not a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe. The following part, so I just see at least, ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything takes place in the link from above. I leave it as an info yet, it might still fit for you. For this purpose, please click your way through to your Adobe Store and find the button "Get Serial Number". Fill in the form and after a while you will get the real serial number.

Firstly make sure you save it to your hard disk, and then run setup from there.
If it doesn't help, you may also try to unregister Windows Installer, and then reregister Windows Installer and check if it helps. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Press Windows Key + R
2. In the "run" box, type "msiexec /unreg", and then press ENTER.
3. Press Windows Key + R
4. In the "run" box, type "msiexec /regserver", and then press ENTER.
Besides that, You could try to create a new user to download and install the application.

You will need to do a DFU restore by holding the home and power buttons down (while the device is plugged in to your computer) until the device's screen goes black and as soon as the screen goes black, count down from 3 and release the power/sleep button, but keep holding down the home button. Then, iTunes will say the iPod needs to be restored. The restore process will take some time and even though the iPod may appear to be frozen, don't interrupt the restore.

Thanks Ned. I did find this page, however it isn't an upgrade. I have been purchasing Adobe products for years so that I could just pay the upgrade price for current products. With the current system, I would be paying much more than I would for an upgrade. For example, I have been using my version of CS for at least three years. The upgrade cost me $750 so that comes out to around $21 per month. I guess I have no options as far as upgrading except for paying for the overpriced CC. Oh well, time to start looking for alternatives. It was just so convenient to have the same programs at home that I use at work.

With my limited knowledge of file structures I assume that the header file must be corrupt.
