I can't get any internet on my macbook
I can't get any network on my mac. the airport shows that I have internet, but when I try to open a website, I get a box saying that I am not connected to any network. (Im using wireless network and the router is a D-link) I have tryed to use cable but it doesent work at all. All the adder laptops in the house have internet, but not my macbook. and my iphone has the exact same problem, it is connected to the wireless network, but when I try to open a website I get a box thats says that I dont have any internet. I have tryed to turn my computer off and on (it used to work before) but now it does not work when i do it. I have also tried to restart the entire network in the house, but it does not work either.
what can I do to get it working again? (the internet on my macbook).
problem solved. I bought a new router (D-link) and now everything works as it should do. but thanks for the help anyway.

I have a connection, but can't get any internet or email
I have two macs. The new one suddenly won't open any internet pages or email. I can't use Safari or Firefox or my mail. The old G4 cube on the same cable modem is having no problems at all. I called my ISP, and everything is fine from their end, and they can see my IP address and it matches what they have, so all should be working. On the imac, it says I have an internet connection, gives me an IP address, and claims I'm connected. But when I open Safari or Firefox or my mail, I get nothing.
Any suggestions?I have checked the network in the system preference. The Built-In-Ethernet has a green light beside it and says "Built-In-Ethernet is currently active and has the IP address (bunch of numbers). You are connected to the Internet via Built-In-Ethernet."
When I click on "Assist me" and then "Diagnostics", The Network Diagnostics screen pops up and Scans for a while. There's five tabs on the left. Built-In-Ethernet is green, Network Settings is Green, and ISP is green. After scanning for a while, the tab by Internet goes red and says Failed below it, and the tab by Server goes red and says Failed below it. Then it asks me "Have you ever used this computer to successfully connect to the internet?" I say yes, and then it asks for the network port configuration that I would like to use. I choose Built-In-Ethernet, and it scans for a while and tells me "This computer appears to have a working internet connection, but cannot find www.apple.com. You may have typed the address incorrectly.
My neighbor has a wireless network that is unsecured. I use it all the time on my ipod touch. My imac finds it, connects to it, but I still have the same problem. No browser or mail will work.

Help please, just got a new iPad air and trying to use the Wi-Fi function on the iMac to access internet on the iPad. Used to be able to do this on previous tablet but now iMac won't wi-fi any of my devices- including new iPad. All devices and iMac say there is a connection but when I open internet apps it tells me there is no connection. Have reset iPad, turned wi-fi on/off, turned internet sharing on/off everything! Think the problem is the iMac, can anyone suggest a solution?

While I was using the internet, the connection was suddenly lost, although the green light of the AE was still on. There was no warning whatsoever. Since then I have tried everything I could think of: I consulted Network Diagnostics & Configurations, the Assistant and Airport Utlility. I also tried resetting it, unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for a while, thinking/hoping that perhaps it just needed a break, yet none of the the things I tried has worked. Whenever I use Diagnostics etc. the problem can neither be found nor fixed...!
Restoring the AE won't help, as I need all it's information, to which I don't have access at the moment.
What can I do to get a connection again? Could it have been hacked??Have you checked to see if your ISP carrier's signal is arriving at your home? The ISP may be down, you know. I have had the confusing situation where the AE's light is green, but the signal being received from my ISP was unusable.

Have you read the articles shown in my first message above with the blue clickable links. One of the first things to try is using Firefox in firefox [[safe mode]] which should be available from your program list, BUT when trying that on the first dialogue do not make changes just click on continue.

I can't get any CDs into my Macbook's CD drive
As far as I can tell, earlier this week I removed my game CD out of the drive. Today, as I was trying to sort out some issues, I tried to put my Mac OS X instalation cd in and it just won't go in. Its almost like there is a blockage keeping it from going in any further than 1/4 of the way.
Like I said, my laptop isn't telling me there are any discs there and as far as I can remember there shouldn't be anyway. My sister was telling me there is a shortcut that you can use to eject a cd in case its just sorta "stuck" there but is invisible to the system. Anyone know what I should or could do, or should I just carry it to an Apple repairman?problem solved. I bought a new router (D-link) and now everything works as it should do. but thanks for the help anyway.

I just got this new iphone 4 as my old one had to be replaced.... now I can't get any internet reception via Wi-Fi or 3G... well 3G doesn't even come up and I have it Enabled. Ive checked everything... ive turned it off and on numerous times. Arghh this is soo frustrating....
Where did you get the new one? From an Apple Store? Maybe you should take it back to them and show them. If you just got it, it's got a warranty for 90 days or until the end of your original warranty, whichever is longer.

I can't get any updates or download any new apps from iTunes because I "cannot connect to the iTunes Store" or sometimes it says server. I have no trouble getting my email or surfing the Internet, so it is a problem specific to accessing iTunes. Incredibly frustrated! Please help!
Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

I thought when I bought a MINI that all I'd need to do is sync up with ITunes to get all apps and setting to the Mini. I was wrong as I can not connnect to the internet and can not get any emails. Have tried just about all suggestions under support but need to reach out to actual users who may have run into similar prblem. I must be missing something as I have to believe that Apple would make it as simple/easy as possible to connect to the interne. I still have my internet connect with my Ipad2.

Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

You can't. But if you backed up your computer prior to wiping it out, you should be able to restore your iTunes library, contacts, photos, etc. from that backup. Once you do, you can set the phone up again and just sync everything from your library back to it.
If you didn't back the computer up either, you can transfer items purchased on the phone into iTunes, and if you set up at least one contact in whatever application you sync your contacts to on the computer, it will offer to merge the address books on the first sync, saving those. Any media you'd acquired from sources other than the iTunes store will have to be re-downloaded from the source or re-ripped.

I got my new blackberry today after my previous one had software problems and even with the same contract i can't get my internet to work, its says "This is a wif-fi service.please ensure your device has an active wi-fi connection and try again." After checking the "manage connections" option it said my wif-fi was on but instead of having the usual tick it had this symbol "-" Can anyone guide me in the way to fix this?

Cant get any internet with my E1000
Hello, I bought a E1000 yesterday but I can´t seem to get any internet to any computer in the house.
First I ran the installation CD and everything went good untill the router were suppose to connect to the internet. So I restarted the modem waited over 2min and booted it again, but still nothing worked. (I have repeated this many times) So I then turned to the router. The router were getting a internet IP from my moden and all the lights were on too. So I started to look in the configuration. The DHCP Server was avalible and the Automatic Configuration - DHCP were chosen like it´s suppose to be. So everything looked fine in the router too.
I then looked to my computer, was it getting an IP from the router?
Yes everything was like it were on my WRT54G.
Anyone got a clue what might be wrong?
And I cant ping goolge.Still the same..

Need to reinstall, but can't get on internet to try.....
I click on Mozilla icon to get on internet, and i get this error message:
XUL Runner: Error Platform 1.9.2.12 is not compatible 1.9.2.13....
I googled a fix, and it says to reinstall Mozilla, and it should be fine...
Only problem is that i don't have IE, and Mozilla was the only way i was able to get online. If I can't get on internet to go to site to do the fix, is there any other way i can do this?

I can't get any sound from my ITunes library. The IMac is set to internal speakers, the volume bar on ITunes itself is all the way to the right, there seems to be no problem with the speakers themselves (they play sound from internet videos, for example), but I can't play music from the ITunes library on the IMac. Please help!
Is it possible that you have iTunes set to send audio through AirPlay to an AirPort Express, Apple TV, or other AirPlay device (which is itself not turned up so you can hear it)?

Just upgraded my first gen iPhone with the 2.0 software update.... Absolutely loving it... but it seems that I can't get any mail from my google imap account while connected on a wifi network.... no problems if I'm using the edge network.
