I can't see MSSQL to create a connection

Hi !
I don't have the possibility to create a MS SQL connection. I can only connect to Oracle or Access Database.
I have the release 1.5.0.53 (the last I think)
Thank you for your help

Hi,
You need to include JDBC driver for third party databases. This can be done from Preference > Database > Third party JDBC Drivers.
eg: In case of SQL Server the Jar file name is something like "jtds-1.2.jar" and should be available in MS SQL Server site.

How can I see gmail drafts created on my laptop in my blackberry curve 9315?

No, not on an iMac. It is hard-wired to the logic board.

  • I can not see the PC I'm connected to over VPN in the MY Network tab.

    Hi,
I have set up my incoming connection for my VPN
on a Windows 8.1 PC.  I can then remotely log in with my Windows 7 laptop. The laptop establishes a connection and says that I have "ipv4 internet access."
The problem I'm having is that I can’t find the PC in my network. What am I missing? Is Windows 7 not compatible with Windows 8.1 over
a VPN? I have turned off my Norton's Firewall for a short period of time but this did not change anything. I have altered the IP range allocation for the incoming connection and this has helped to establish a stable connection.
Any ideas on why I can not see the PC I'm connected to, in the (MY
Network) tab, would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Steve,
The main issue is the Windows 8.1 machine is not listed in the Windows 7 machine via VPN ,right ?
Please check the following settings in the network and sharing center:
1.Check these settings in the Advanced sharing settings
“Turn on network discovery” and “turn on file and print sharing”
2.Ping the destination machine both with the IP address and the UNC to have a check .
    Best regards

  • Can't see tables after a JDBC connection

    Hi,
I made a JDBC connection with Progress9.1d database. In the Connections Navigator, I expand the nodes for my database connection and see the following nodes: Synonyms, Tables, Views.
However, when I try to expand the "Tables" node, I can't see the tables in the Connections Navigator. A window whose title is "Retrieving Objects" appears for a moment, retrieves the objects as shown by a status bar and disappears immediately.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thank you,
    Meltem

For those of you having similar problems,
Here is the answer I received from Oracle Support:
"We use DatabaseMetaData.getTables() to retrive the information from the database, however, I found on a Progress discussion forum that there is a bug in the Progress implementation of getTables().
The problem is with their implementation of DatabaseMetaData.getTables(). You have to pass a null into the catalog parameter or it will not work. Under 9.1C if you pass in a blank string ("") you get a "Optional feature not implemented" exception, if you pass in a non-blank string you get "The qualifier 'catalog' was larger than SQL_MAX_QUALIFIER_LEN from SQLGetInfo (0)". My understanding is the issue still exists in 9.1D
Since we don't pass null here, the problem occurs. So, the problem isn't with JDeveloper, but with the Progress Driver."
Now, I am talking with Progress Support. I will post another message if anything changes.

  • I can't see my external hard drive connected to my TC

I can't see my external hard drive connected to my TC, I have connected to the USB port on my TC but cannot see it , any ideas

    Hello Bob,
I have a powered hub plugged into my Time Capsule.
Into the powered hub I have a printer; printer works fine.
Into the powered hub I have an ExFAT formatted disk.
The ExFAT disk is seen in the AirPort Utility as an "AirPort Disk".
I cannot see the ExFAT disk in Finder or in Window's "My Computer".
When I plug the ExFAT drive directly into Mac or Windows computers the drive is seen in Finder and My Computer.
When the ExFAT drive is plugged directly into Mac or Windows both can read and write files.
Do you think that I need to format the USB ExFAT drive as FAT 32?
I have heard mention "need to map the drive". Do you think this would help?
    Thank you for your time.

  • Devices can't see all playlists created in iTunes library

I’m new to the whole syncing business.
I have both an iPod and an iPhone, both updated. On a Macbook Pro running the latest version of iTunes, I have my music. When I connect either one of my devices to iTunes, under the device’s name > setting > I can see my playlists. However, the most recent one –which I can see in iTunes– do not show: meaning I can’t sync those newly created playlists.
If I go back in iTunes and create a new playlist –let’s say “Test”– and go back in Device > Settings > Music, the playlist won’t show. Even if I quit iTunes, un-connect the device, reconnect, etc.
Any help to try and understand what’s happening would be appreciated.

If you are sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you purchased those additional songs with and are following the steps in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519, you should contact iTunes Store support about the missing content:  http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

  • Can "they" see what sites I'm connecting to?

I connect to the internet on my MBP through airport extreme which is connected to a LAN. My question is, can the LAN admins or ISP providers or ANYONE who's in "charge" up there see exactly what sites and pages I have browsed to? I know they can see whether or not I'm connected and using the internet, but how much can "they" see exactly?
I have my firewall enabled as well as firewall logging, blocking udp traffic (whatever that is) and stealth mode. Just curious... I guess I'm a bit paranoid!
    Thanks for your help.

    Ehlimana,
I was a system administrator in a computing lab. We were up to our ears (and a few other body parts!) in computers. We created an inventory database of all our computers and then I created a system that would query the main switch for the company and retrieve all the MAC numbers of computers using our network.
When someone connected an unauthorized computer on our network, within a few seconds I would have a window on my desktop computer showing me the computer's MAC number, IP address and what jack they were plugged into, and a small map showing me which cube the person was sitting in inside the building. If it was through our wireless node, I still had their MAC number.
With that, I had several tools at my disposal with which I could use to find out what they were doing and look at the sites they were visiting. Even if their packets were encrypted, I could still see what site they were visiting.
Not only that, we also had access to the logs, so even if someone was authorized, we could still go through the logs and see who was looking at what.
The point is, whoever owns the network can pretty much see anything they want to see on the network. If you want to keep your surfing private, do it at home on the network you own. And always make sure you have all your security precautions in place!

  • Since software update, can't see contents of iPod when connected to iTunes

About 2 days ago, when I connected my iPod to my pc (iTunes), it said there were some software updates for my iPod so I downloaded them and the iPod rebooted itself. Once it came back up, my iPod showed up in iTunes under "devices" on the left hand sidebar. I got the registration page - I usually click register later, but nothing happened this time. It didn't bring me into my iPod. So I tried to Register. I could get so far, then it asked if I wanted some free movie or something, I said NO THANKS, CONTINUE, but nothing happened. I wasn't registered AND I couldn't access my iPod. I can see my iPod under My Computer. I can see "sandra's iPod" uder devices in iTunes. BUT, I can't get to the content when connected to iTunes. All of my stuff is there on the iPod. I can play my iPod when it's not connected to iTunes - but I can't see the content, manipulate playlists, delete songs, etc. when connected to iTunes. I am almost positive this is a result of the latest software updates to the iPod. I have not updated iTunes - I didn't want to and compound the problem. I'm not a techy person - so please be gentle! Thank you. Sandra

    Resolved at home.

  • Can't see printer or shares when connected via Internet Sharing

I recently switched from a 2006 to a 2008 Mac Pro. Rather than do a migration I simply took the hard drives from the old machine and put them in the new one.
I then upgraded to Mountain Lion.
I use Internet Sharing to share my Mac Pro's Ethernet connection via wifi, but the other Macs can't see the Mac Pro's printer or shares when connected in this way. They can access the internet. If I connect a machine via the LAN rather than Internet Sharing, the shares and printer are visible.
This worked fine on Lion on the old machine. Any ideas?

Seems that the issue is something to do with connecting via WPA2. When I set Internet Sharing to use WEP (by option-clicking the security menu), I'm then able to see the network shares and the printer.

  • Can't see some tables name from connection navigation

I use sql developer to connect 10g database, I have 50 tables within a user, but it only shows 27 tables. I don't know why. Can anyone tell me ? Thx

    We have 2 oracle10g database.
If I use Oracle Enterprise Manage(OEM), and login as user A, I can see all tables in both of 2 oracle10g database. but if I use SQL developer connecting with user A, SQL developer can see only part of tables ( about 1/2) in one database and all tables in another databse. I don't know why. but this two database has replication relationship. As I opinion, if I can see in OEM, I can also see in SQL developer.
anyway, I didn't apply filter. And my privilege is ok. Because I use below in user A:
select table_name from user_table. this select is only select the tables belong to user A, it has the same result with OEM.
    Thanks anyway

  • Can't see database when creating portal provider

I am creating a portlet page and trying to create a DB portlet provider. When I go to select the schema to store the portel info in I only have the schemas on the Application Server as a selection and I want to store them on the database server. I have a schema already setup on the database server for this. I can see both databases in the Enterprise Manager Council. What do I need to do to get it to connect to the database server so I can use it's schemas, users, and data? I don't think I have discoverer configured right. Can anyone help to get me on the right track? Thanks alot

if you can access the db via standalone this means u have a tnsnames entry set up in your local oracle home.
Accessing via OMS is another story all together. First you must have an OMS Oracle Management Server Running and
configured. The OMS sits over its own database know as the repository.
You have to have database 'discoverd' by the OMS in order to see it. You can manually discover or have an agent running
on the box that hold the db you want to see and discovery is automatic.
Without OMS you cannot monitor, schedule jobs, alerts and probably 80% of what OEM is. The E stands for Enterprise.

  • How can I see when I created a playlist?

I've been creating mixes via playlists in iTunes for years now, but I never thought of writing down the date of when I created them.  Of course, iTunes is organizing them in alphabetical order, but I really want to get a good idea of when these lists were created.
So, anyone know if it's possible?  If I have to go rooting around via the iTunes .xml or Terminal or something, so be it.  I just need to know!!!! lol

When you consider the playlist to be final, right-click its name in the left-hand pane, and use one of the Export options.  This creates a file with the date/time of creation.  (I am talking about the date of the file itself, because as Chris notes, the date is not in the contents of the file).
Note that iTunes does not have the concept of "finalizing" or "locking down" a playlist.  The list is always open, and can be changed (intentionally or unintentionally) at any time.  The Export will at least preserve the listing at that moment in time.  Also, if you are inclined, you can post the listing on one of the mixtape sites such as Art of the Mix or Zen Running Order, which creates a more permanent record and also may get kudos from your fellow mixtapers.  ;-)
