I can't seem to locate the Store menu in order to 'Authorize' my new laptop for iTunes.
I need to Authorize my new laptop (Windows 8). I can't seem to locate the Store menu in which it's indicated I should find the Authorize function. Can anyone point direct me to it?

The menu bar can be temporarirly shown by pressing and releasing the 'Alt' key on your keyboard. You can also have the menu bar shown permanently, the process for which is detailed in the following article.

Why isn't my iTunes store loading properly? It lists everything in text without images, and I can't seem to access the store when I try to search for music or movies etc.
1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

I can't seem to locate the text and buttons on a flash template I bought
Hi Everyone,
I have been working with this flash template I purchased online and can't seem to be able to change the text that is displayed on it's buttons except for the first one. There are four buttons to the side but I can only change the first button's contents as I see them in the "Library". I am new to Flash and learning. Please guide me as to where I can find the other components.
I can only see and change "WorldWide" and "Call Anytime Anywehre" button.

I would also like to add a link to each button and I can't seem to locate the URL Link button. I am using Adobe Flash CS5.
Much appreciated.What I described is what your file involves. In your library there is a "text" folder . In that folder are movieclips named txt_1, and txt_2 which hold the text used in your buttons. If you open those movieclips for editing you will see each has four frames with different text in each frame. That is where you need to change your text for the buttons.
If you look at the actionscript in the top layer of those movieclips, you will see how it uses a value assigned to the button/mc to determine which frame it displays....

And if you look at the actionscript applied to the button on the main timeline (select the button with the Actions window open), you will see how that num value gets assigned to each instance...

I just purchased the Life 11 and it erased all of my photos. I can't seem to contact the store. What can I do?
Upgrading to iLife shouldn't delete your iPhoto library and hopefully you have a backup to restore from just in case.
Apple recommends backing up your iPhoto library routinely > iPhoto '11: Back up your iPhoto library
Try rebuidling the iPhoto library.
Hold down the Command + Options keys then launch iPhoto.
Keep the keys held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library.
A dialog will appear with rebuild options. Select the options you want to use.
Click Rebuild to begin the rebuild process. This may take a few minutes to complete. -
Hi. I've added a new page to my iWeb '08 version 2.0.4 website, but can't seem to select the top menu items to make a rollover color change. I can select them on the original pages. What am I forgetting to do?

I need to modify my website and I used a Spry menu to direct users to specific pages. This is no longer supported with the 2014 version and thought a Jump Menu would work, but it is not on the insert/form menu as instructed in help files. Any ideas?
Jump Menus still exist in CC, they're just created differently than they used to be. For some reason I can't figure out, they've been a bit buried...
1. Click in Design View where you want the Select Menu to appear
2. Go to Insert > Form > Select
3. Click on the Select Menu created in Design View
4. Click the + in the Behaviors Window and choose Jump Menu
From there, you should get the familiar Jump Menu dialogue box. -
my acct. shows that I have 5 authorized computers for my itunes acct. not sure which 5 but I do know it is not my new laptop. our main home computer that I use for managing and adding to my music library may have crashed . so I deauthorized all 5 computers (that was my only choice). I was then hoping to authorize just one computer (my new lap top), I was then hoping that my entire music library would then show up via my itunes/apple account where is it ?

Using the optical drive of a MacBook Pro from new iMac for iTunes
Can I connect my macbook pro to my new iMac (no optical drive) with ethernet cable and use the optical drive of the macbook pro to upload CDs to iTunes on the new iMac?
On my 17" MacBook Pro I use the eSata port for Black X Duet Hard Drive Docking station where I put 2 1TB Hitachi internal drives. They are swappable and are about $80.00US. I use the USB port for my system backup and a G-force 500 MB bus powered portable drive on the FW800 port just for the heck of it. It works out really well for me.

I Can't Back-up/Sync/Update My Phone Anymore Since I Have A New Laptop?
The old computer is gone, I deauthorized it before I wiped the HDD. So, now I have a new laptop with iTunes on it and I can't sync to it without wiping my entire phone? What can I do? This makes no sense. I am using the same Apple ID, the old computer is gone and deauthorized, should I not be able to do this? There has to be a workaround or are you telling me you can never buy a new computer once you have an iPhone? (being sarcastic but there has to be a way)
I don't want to erase my phone, I currently back-up to the cloud so I am unsure what to do. The iPhone Apple ID is teh same as the iTunes Apple ID. Please help. I am sure someone here has bought a new computer since the advent of the iPhone. ;-)I appreciate all of the help. All I really need to be able to do is restore all of my settings and address book and all that. I use iTunes Match and all my apps are allready in iTunes, so all I need to do is put those apps back on my phone. I would think this to be simple and I should not have to oull everything off of my phone except settings. This is more complex than it needs to be. If I were to connect it and have the phone overwritten, what would happen?
I am pasting the instructions below with questions:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under iTunes>Preferences>Devices(under Edit menu if using Windows).
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications on your computer(iCal & Address Book on a Mac, Windows Address Book or Outlook if using Windows). These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty. I don't understand, I don't use Outlook, and what is Windows Address book?
3. Connect your phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer. The computer is allready authorized.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your iTunes library). Umm, I use iTunes Match and all the apps I have are allready in my iTunes, so is this necessary?
6. Right click your phone in the left device pane & select "Reset warnings".
7. Right click again and select "Backup".
8. Right click again & select "Restore from Backup", select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your iTunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select "Merge". Do I need to do this?
Your phone should look just like it did when you started, with no data loss.
You should be good to go. -
