I cannot play movies, it seems the the movies have loaded ok because i can see frames, but it wont play.

essentially i click on a movie and it seems to go onto the play screen ok, however the screen it black. when I click along the movie I can see specific frames that the cursor hands on but the movie will not play.
Is there a way I can fix this myself?

I have had the same problem since the latest Adobe Flash update. I have the same problem in IE too. I also have the problem with some YouTube videos at times and a certain video at another website. These are ones I can remember and it didn't start until I updated Adobe Flash. Google Chrome uses it's own flash, so when I use that browser, no problem. So it must be Adobe Flash update being flawed. Maybe it can be rolled back to an earlier version? For doing that, try this link. The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

It can come about without any change done by the user, and it's not just from other networks. The placement of the router can also affect performance. Also make sure router is up to date.
Apart from that would be the reboots.

Troubleshooting a start up script can be difficult. There are some third party programs that also keep logs of start up programs, however for Firefox this may be different.

I've had similar issues. Turning off firewalls seems to help the download to complete properly. Otherwise, I'm not sure what the problem might be.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your phone and re-download it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on it, or the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

I don't know if this will work but it's worth a try. I wonder if somehow you ended up with a short inside of your iPad. Give the things below are trying to see if that helps. Good luck.
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

my brand new mac pro wont download movies on imovie. I connect my sony XR150 and I can see the clips in the imovie window but when I select import, I get the spinning circle of doom. Very disappointing. I just moved from a PC because Mac's were supposed to be much better handling media.

If Image Capture can recognize your camera and allow you to upload the stills and videos to a folder on the Desktop that's what I would do. Then you can import those files into iPhoto, FCP or iMovie as you want.
