I cannot sign in or go to acount under quick links in app store.The only thing I can access is create a new account, and when I try to do this, it says that my apple ID is already being used.

Running the latest version and most current update of snow leopard. Have 250 GB on computer. Have Intel core I7 2.66 Ghz processor. My computer is about 2 yrs. old. So processor and memory are not an issue. I want to upgrade to Lion, but cannot do this because I cannot access Mac App Store. I have backed up computer on external hard drive, and I have no music or pictures on my computer now. I have I-Life, Windows for Mac, I-tunes, Pandora, Plants vs. Zombies, and that is all for additional software on here. I have had problems with the app store since it was launched! Apple is suppose to be superior! At 2 plusk, I would expect it to be, but so far, it has been inferior! It is definately NOT user friendly. At least the computer end and software is not. It has been a pain dealing with the app store, trying to watch webcast on here, always having to download an extra plugin only to find that it isn't compatible! PLEASE MAC, for 2,000 dollars...REALLy?!

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

FYI: Some third party software can cause issues with the App Store > Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text
Apple is not responsible for incompatibility isssues with third party software.

If the backup is corrupt, there is nothing that can be done.
For what reason did you choose to not copy the pictures off the device to a computer prior to attemping an update or whatever caused the need to restore? iPhones are not intended as sole storage of any media.

Firefox keeps running in the backround after closing it, it just lingers there, and when I try to restart firefox, it says that I have to close the current one or restart my system to clear the last firefox. what can I do, thanks...

After the last update, my IBM Clone computer does not close the session of firefox when clicking on "close" it clears the screen back to the desktop but firefox continues to hang there in the backround and will not allow another session of firefox to start until the first session is closed. The only way to reconnect is to do a restart on my system, and then the old firefox session is closed and the new session will start.

Try a hard reset. Hold Power button and home button until it restarts. Hold both till the Apple logo is displayed. Do not slide power off.
If that does not work you may need to restore.

I was in a play and the phone was in my pocket. I took it out to check it afterwards and it somehow got deactivated. I really have no idea what is going on. my itunes dissapeared from my computer. when i tried to redownload i got an error message stated that the old version of Bonjour could not be replaced. i tried to manually remove it and it will not let me remove it.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

I upgraded from LR5.7.1 to LR6 and when I try to load LR6 it says that my Serial number is valid, but there is no program on my pc that is works with.

I get this when I load the program. It is a stand alone version on Win7
