I cannot start a group text on my iPhone.

I don't have the option for group texting under setting>messages. My version is 6.1.3. Other people send me group texts and I can reply and get replies but when I try to set up a group text on my end it looks like it worked but the recipients do not see it as a group text and the responses are individual texts.

Settings > Messages
under "SMS/MMS" there are on/off switches like this
MMS Messaging
Group Messaging
Show Subject Field
Character Count
If it really isn't there, then I'm intrigued. What kind of device?

Cannot receive SMS group texts

I have a Curve 9360. Service is from ATT. Version 7.0.0 Bundle 2408
A group of my friends, mostly Verizon iPhone users but not all, send SMS group texts to each other all the time. I am on the distribution list, but I do not receive the texts. If one of them texts me individually, I do receive it.
Is there a way to receive SMS group texts on my BlackBerry?

I am glad to see that you made the move over to Team VZW. We definitely want you to have a great start to your tenure with us. Do you know what the recorded message states when someone tries to call you? What kind of signal are you getting? Can you trying sending a text message to yourself and see if you receive it. Keep us updated on this so we can look into options of resolution.

TS2755 Group text to ex-iPhone sent as iMessage

My brother switched from an iPhone to an android. My iPhone still recognizes his phone as an iPhone. When I send a group text to him and other iPhone users, it's sent as an iMessage so he doesn't get the text. I have to turn off my iMessage setting. I even tried deleting his contact and re-entering it. How can I fix this?

He needs to do the following. That is the only way to deactivate imessage from his old phone.
Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Log in if not already logged in.
Click on “edit products”
Click on the “x” to the right of the product.
Click “unregister”

I am having issues sending and receiving group texts on iphone 5c. I may get texts only from the sender or a few of the recipients, but not all. I spoken to Apple. They are working on the problem but it has been almost two months + and the problem seems to be getting worse. Any one have this issue?

ajspurr, sorry to hear that you're still having some troubles here, but we want to figure this out. If you have already cleared the application cache and data and it's still giving you an issue, we may want to reset the device. By resetting the device we can ensure there are no underlying software issues. If you have the device backed up you can take a look here to see how to reset the device http://vz.to/1ucTCmE. How can i group text from my iphone 4s

I'm in a band & scheduling practices gets kinda tricky.I just got an iPhone 4s & I can't figure out how to send group texts. I have the group set up but I have to select each person seperately from within the group. I had a Blackberry Curve (which I hated!) that did this easily. How can I do this with my iPhone (which I love!)?

Or you can contact your operator and check what they can do for you , there is a service in Egypt called group SMS which you can have from 0 to 99 group and every group cost you 1 MSG

Can't send MMS or group text to non-iPhones.

Previously i had no problems with this until a couple of weeks ago.
There wasn't some event that i am aware of that caused an onset of this.
Now I can only send pictures or group messages to other iPhones.
I have cellular data, MMS and SMS settings on.
Have tried sending picture text and group messages with and without wifi on (as well as switching the others on/off one at a time & testing).
Tried with iMessage on/off.
Tried every combo of Send & Receive phone/email (& off).
Reset network settings.
Wiped phone clean and restored with iCloud backup.
Using AT&T.
Still nothing.

Can send text-only messages to non-iPhones.
Any other ideas out there?

Cannot start a group call

Hi!
I am on Windows 7 Professional and Skype 7.1.105.
I have been unable to start group calls for several months, despite reinstalling Skype. The callers are all online (green tick) and i'm able to have 1:1 calls. But when I put a new group together, the phone symbol remains light blue and I cannot begin a call. I also cannot add people to an existing 1:1 call.

We are having the same issue. Group calls worked for months in multiple offices and now suddenly they cannot add more than one party to a call. When you try it just sits there with the other party picture up but it is not doing anything. Did you ever find a solution?

Group Texting gone wrong iPhone 4s (C-Spire)

I have the 4s with C-Spire, but for some reason group messaging does not work properly. I can send group messages and be included in them, but any responses I get are not included in the group message pane. The other members' texts come individually. Group Messaging is on, so I don't know what the issue might be. I suspect it might be either a bug or something to do with my service provider, but I don't know for sure. Does anyone else have this issue? If so, have you fixed it?

The "Correct size sim" doesn't apply here. I also have a CSPIRE 4S you have to have a IMEI unlock code. The Sim Slot is hardware locked to CSPIRE and "their" international SIM that they Sell. I tried to get them to unlock mine and the promissed to look in to it and call back... Of course they never did. Services online claim to provide this service but i've yet to try one.

Group Text with Android Doesn't Work

Hi- I had been using an iPhone for a few years, and decided to switch over to Android. It took some time to get my phone number disassociated from iMessage/iCloud, but I was eventually able to get that done. Since iOS8 came out, though, I'm starting to experience problems again. Specifically, whenever I group text with multiple iPhone users, everything works fine -- until my wife (an iPhone 6 user) is added into the group. When this happens, everything automatically switches back to iMessage and I stop receiving any messages.
Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any fixes?

I tried as many suggestions as I could from the plethora of suggestions above. I'm sure you are correct, it must be the Mac's problem. I took a chance and downloaded LibreOffice; Text to Speech now works the same as it does on TextEdit, the internet, and PdF. Thanks for all the help, I mean that sincerely. OpenOffice is a really fine product.

HOW to remove myself from a friend who is group texting?

OMG. My friend started a group texting conversation at 7:20 this morning and included me in it. Now i'm getting everyone's replies and my phone is going off, of course. Please.... how do i remove myself from this series of text messages? (without having to ask everyone to stop texting.. or for all of them to remove my number? I don't think they would do it anyway since they do not know me)

Unfortunately your address has been included in a list sent to all of the other original recipients, and there's no provision for sending a message from your phone to all the other recipients informing them to remove you from the list they received. If they want to reply directly to the message, it will be to the entire list.
This is identical to when you receive an email message with multiple recipients. Email applications, however, have separate "Reply" and "Reply to All" actions which are not available in default text messaging apps. The only option is "Reply to All". I suspect additional functionality might be found in 3rd party messaging apps and in future OS updates.

Iphone group text message remove yourself

We started a group text message a month ago. Some of the members of the group want out. Is there a way for them to opt out of the group, so they don't receive the the test messages anymore? If not, wouldn't that be a nice idea?

I just bought my iPhone 6 Plus on December 27. Starting today for some reason, I cannot send group texts (iMessages or SMS texts) or voice texts. Please advise.

This doesn't really help me as much; I know how to send texts, and I am able to do so to individuals. It's just that I can't get group texts to go through. I have service and am sending to both iPhone users and non-iPhone users. Interestingly enough, a moment ago a particularly long text I tried to send to an individual non-iPhone user was not delivered. Does anyone know if there is some lingering issue with messaging on the iPhone 6 Plus? I have the latest iOS software update.

I've restarted several times. If I restore from backup, unfortunately the backup was done after iOS7 downloaded. Now, am I wrong that "restore as new" will essentially wipe me out? If so, and having backup, you're saying essentially start over and then backup?
