I cannot toggle between front and rear cameras on my iPad 4; Any ideas?

Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

  • How to change the capture resolution of CaptureDevice and toggle between front and rear camera

Hi. I'm using Visual Studio 2013, and the Windows Phone App template. I'm using the Microsoft.Devices / CaptureVideo API to capture video. I now want to set the resolution to capture the video in a specific(available) resolution. How do I do that?
    Code snippet reference to API:
    CaptureVideo vcDevice = CaptureDeviceConfiguration.GetDefaultVideoCaptureDevice();
and I also want to put a button there to toggle between front and rear camera. If I click the button, and the rear camera is currently active, the front camera must become active and vice versa. How do I do that with this API?
    Thank you.

    Hello,
I will help you moving this thread into windows phone forum.
For you question, we can use DeviceInformaiton class to find all webcams and then get the front or back webcam.
     Code looks like the following.
    var devices = await Windows.Devices.Enumeration.DeviceInformation.FindAllAsync(Windows.Devices.Enumeration.DeviceClass.VideoCapture);
    Windows.Devices.Enumeration.DeviceInformation backCameraDeviceInformation =
    devices.FirstOrDefault(x => x.EnclosureLocation != null &&
    x.EnclosureLocation.Panel == Windows.Devices.Enumeration.Panel.Back);
You can see more about camera programming in this code sample. Get it from
    https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/AdvancedCamera-ba47da27.
Feel free to let me know if you have any concerns.

  • How can I tell if fan between front and rear bay is working?

    hi all
How can I tell if fan between front and rear bays is working? I put my hand behind G4 MDD to feel for air flow and it seems minimal. I hear a wind tunnel sound but I feel more heat than air flow. Please help as I don't want my Mac to overheat
    Thanks, Web dude

You can run your mac with the side "door" open - down flat to the right of the computer. You should be able to see the fan do (or not do) its thing.
I have done this (run the mac with the side open) many times. For safety, I turn the mac off before opening / closing the door.

  • Front and rear cameras not working since i reformatted ipad mini. updated version. checked settings could not find how to activate camera. no icon appears.

i've searched and searched but could not find any answer why front and rear camera's aren't working.
i did a reformat because my id would not accept the password that i've been using. then after the reformat i could not see the icon anymore.
went to settings under photos and camera and could not find a button for the camera.
i do not have facetime. it's gone as well. what do i do?

Look under settings, general, restrictions and see if facetime and the camera have been turned off.

  • Split signals between front and rear ports?

just wondering if it is possible to split two different feeds between the front and rear ports on an Xfi.
for example game sound through the speakers and then Ventrilo/Teamspeak via the front audio jacks on my case(as the Xfi has the header for front audio).

Sorry to bump an old post, but this is exactly what I have been looking for.
Does anyone know if this is attainable on the Pci-e X-fi Titanium card with an Intel HD audio front panel connected to the card?
    Thanks!

  • Cannot toggle between 2g and 3g

You pay the carriers to use their network. They set the terms for that. If an iPhone does not meet your needs sell it and buy a phone that does.

  • Difference between front and rear FW 400 ports

    Hello:
I have a lab of 7 PowerMac G5's (1.8 MHz, single cpu, 512 MB RAM) We have a problem with one of them. Basically, an iSight camera does not work properly with the front firewire port. The problem is repeatable. Different iSight cameras show the same problem. The problem does NOT appear on the other six G5 computers.
Apple can not fix the problem. Now, they are telling me that this is normal behavior. I am being told that the iSight camera transmits a lot of data and the rear firewire port should be used.
This does not seem right to me.
    So, my questions are:
    1) Has anyone else had a similar problem with the front firewire port? Is the front firewire port limited in some way?
    2) Apple's documentation seems to state that the front and one of the rear firewire ports are FW400. Is this correct?
    3) If the iSight works on the rear FW port then why shouldn't it work on the front port?
    4) If an iSight not working on the front port is "normal behavior", then why does it work on the other 6 computers.
All in all, I have a hard time believing this is normal behavior. I feels like I am being fed a "line".
I would appreciate any comments or insight that anyone might have.

The front port is FW400 and should work with the
iSight. Do you have any other FireWire devices to
try, such as a DV camcorder? If you have no other
FireWire devices, you could use one of your other G5s
in target mode as a test device to see if the port
works. If the port works with a camcorder or
computer in target mode, but not with the iSight, the
problem is probably with the power power connections
on the port. It is a six pin port but target mode
and camcorders only need four pins. The iSight has
to get power from the other two pins. In any case,
    Apple should fix it.
Thank you for the tips. I agree that Apple should fix it. I have been informed, however, that since this is "normal behavior" that there is nothing to fix.

  • Big Green spot in center of both the front and rear camera's pictures

My new iPhone 4 has a big green spot in pictures I take. It is visible on the LCD when framing the picture and also shows up in the saved picture after its taken. It is most noticeable when there is a light colored background. Restoring has no effect and the odds that both sensors are bad seem unlikely to me.
Also, I did some googling and found that this is also an issue with other camera phones.

Update: Did more testing and it seems like the issue is being caused by the compact fluorescent lights I use in my house. Taking pictures of my CCFL backlit monitor also exhibits these same issues. Can anyone else experiment with this and tell me if my problem is an isolated one or a general limitation of the iPhone's two camera sensors.
Note: I tested the same situations with my 3GS wish iOS 4 installed and found that it does not share these same issues as my iPhone 4.
Here is a link to a MacRumors forum posting (with pictures) from someone else with the same issues.

  • S750 with interference on front and rear channels

I bought my Gigaworks S750 speakers with my X-Fi Elite Pro almost 2 years ago now, and up until about a month ago have been having no problems. Recently however there has been this really irritating interference coming through on the front and rear channels. It only seems to be occurring after the system warms up a bit (the sound is good when the system starts up), and it also doesn't seem to occur when using volumes under 50% (in windows). At first I figured that it was related to a new X-Fi driver that I had installed a week or so before the problem developed, and for a while was just trying different software things to fix it. Eventually I began to have a suspicion that it was the speakers. After checking the Creative knowledge-base, I unplugged the speakers from my PC, and used the Green, Black, and Yellow plugs in the headphone jack of my iPod to attempt to rule out the sound-card. Well, even when plugging the speakers directly into my iPod (so it definitely isn't the PC) the interference is still there, I have also tried swapping speakers around (to make sure it wasn't problems with the individual satellites) and it appears to definitely be an issue somewhere between the Front, and Rear channel inputs on the sub, and the front and rear channel outputs, where the satellites are plugged in. Seeing as it's been 2 years, my unit is out of warranty, so if I can possibly avoid shipping it to Creative for repairs, I would, but I'm not particularly good with electronics work (I understand capacitors, inductors, speakers, circuit-boards, and soldering, but am not confident working with any of that stuff). So if there is anyone out there with more experience than me, who has any suggestions as to what the cause might be, so I can somehow attempt to get it fixed without sending it away, I would be extremely grateful... not that I'm expecting much, but almost anything would be preferable than having to send them all away.

Hey guys, Andy, I looked around the top amp board like you said, found a few spots where the rubber stuff had been heat affected, and might have been causing short circuits. I carefully scraped it off, catching all the stuff I scraped off, and then tried to test it. Still no good. Just for the record, my capacitors are not the yellow ones, rather they are the large blue ones like in the picture. I bought these speakers to listen to music, not to learn how to fault-find on complex electronic circuitry. If there was a repair service offered by Creative for a price that is within reason, I would have used it with no second thoughts, but there isn't, and I feel that their customer support system overall is severely lacking. On the topic of the rubber vibration dampening material, I cannot believe that Creative has (and continues to) sell a product with a fault such as this! Surely a problem like their products developing short circuits due to materials chosen is something that they would have considered during the designing of the system, and once it became aparrant, they should have found an alternative material (if one exists) that would eliminate the issue. As is, I have a feeling that them selling this speaker system either breaks Australian Law, or comes extremely close depending on how you interpret the following:
As a consumer, goods that you purchase must:
be of merchantable quality goods have to meet a basic level of quality and performance given the price and description of the goods
    Quote taken from: http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/3863[/i]
Under the Trade Practices Act 974 you may seek a refund if goods:
are or become faulty through no fault of your own
    Quote taken from: http://www.accc.gov.au/content/item.phtml?itemId=772827&nodeId=92efbf084ec5937343 f7965c5bab8f&fn=NFB_Warranties and refunds_desk sign.pdf
For a product they sell to develop short circuits (under conditions in which the system is supposed to function correctly, because a sub is going to heat up every time it's used) doesn't really meet a "basic level of quality" especially given the price of the goods! If you can classify leaving the speakers on for a period of a few days at a time, then sure, they became faulty through fault of my own. I however was under the impression that speakers were to be used, and that to use them they had to be turned on at some point, and that they should continue to function (within reason... like 5 or 7 years...) no matter how long they were left on.
I really am extremely tempted to follow this up, not because $600 means so much to me, but more because Creative has been selling this product with it's faults for a long time, and I really don't believe it is acceptable for them to do that, only offer a year warranty, and then expect us to pay almost the price of a new unit to get it repaired after that year.
Sorry to put you through a?rant. I didn't post this in your "successful repair of s750 with blown fuse" thread because it isn't relevant to anyone outside of Australia (athough similar laws may exist within your countries), and it would have been rude of me to spam in your very useful thread. However, if you do think it is relevant, and would like to to post it in the other thread, I can do that too.
As I said, I may, or may not follow this up, but I'm going to look into it, and I just hope Creative get the message that even though their product has great sound quality, the actually quality of the manufacture isn't acceptable
Andy, thanks for all your suggestions, I really appreciate your help.
    Regards,
    Tim

  • Front and Rear Artwork

Is there any way of displaying both the front and rear album covers in iTunes and can it be used with the cover flow application?
    Thanks

    AndEvs wrote:
If you can add both, is there a way of switching between them?
Not on the fly. But you can swap around artwork when you do a get info.
For example, if you have a song with two pieces of artwork attached, the first one is shown in coverflow. If you do a Get Info on the track, go to the artwork window, you can grab artwork #2 and drag and drop it into the #1 position and now that will show up in cover flow.
Other things you can do is the artwork that is first for the first track will represent the full album in coverflow. But, you can add alternative artwork to the other tracks or arrange them so different tracks have a different first artwork. When the song plays it will show which ever art work is first.
So for front and back artwork, you could arrange so that half the songs show the back and the other half show the front. And the first one will dictate what is shown for the group.

  • Still waiting on Apple to come up with front and back camera for laptop.

The Ipad, Iphone and Ipod have front and back camera.  Why can't the laptops have front and back camera? I have a mac pro and it would be great if I don't always have to turn the laptop for people to see what I'm trying to show them.

You would like to be looking at something while using facetime (for
example) and switch over to a different camera while continuing the
conversation without moving the computer.  That way you could see what
you are showing them without having to look sideways at the display.
So basically he wants a rear view camera.
There is a issue with this because computers are stationary and thus the rear view camera could be used as a covert monitoring device.
At least with a iPod or iPhone when someone holds it a certain way you know they are taking a video or picture, with a desktop/laptop one wouldn't know.
For instance say your a pretty girl in coffee shop using your laptop, so now instead of a bunch of rabid geeks trying to catch your eye you have all their laptop rear view cameras pointed at your direction and streaming it online.
    Creepy.
If one wants a rear view camera, buy a third party one and mount it on the top. It comes with a swivel base and thus can be pointed at any direction. Thus people can see your video recording and it's not covert.
A rear mounted camera requires the entire Mac to be moved, which in the case of a large iMac is impracticable. Laptops being moved increasing their chances of being damaged, even more so if they have hard drives.
Also there are laws about covert video recording/taping in many States and countries, you have to do so with the persons consent so things are not taken out of context.
I'll have to vote no on this, especially since not many people will use it and we will all have to pay for it.

Some games refuse to run by displaying "This game is not supported in landscape mode. Please turn your handset to portrait mode".
How can I toggle between landscape and portrait modes in Nokia E72?

You can't do that because of the screen orientation which is landscape only in case of E72, E71, E5.
