I downloaded and tried Firefox. It would not work for me so I removed it. Now my entire computer is screwed up. What haoppened. Who will pay the repairman to fix it?
After I removed Firefox (because it hid everything I tried to download so I lost it all and had to go and redownload with IE) Affter I removed Firefox my music would not play, and now my printer is lost. It says the registry spool is gone. What is up.
I am very old and techno stupid but when I removed Firefox should everything on the computer remained as it was befire I tried this browser?
i downloaded quick time but it wont work! every time i click on my itunes to open it comes up as "error -2096 quick time failed to initialize"
That one is often a compatibility mode problem. Try the following document, only be sure that none of the boxes in the compatibility mode tab are checked (not just the compatibility mode box itself):

I'm having the same problem with my 4S. I have to constantly reboot my iMac or turn off my phone a few times to get it to sync. Before when I had 5.1.1 everything seemed to work just fine. I'm sure its a bug......

I have an older iMac 5,1 and the disc drive no longer works. I was hoping that I could the Apple USB super drive as a replacement, but the info on the super drive page says compatible with iMac 2012 or later. Does anyone know why it would not work for me?
A reply to similar question (Q & As , in product page Apple Store) says:
"...dissable the internal reader hardware from devices setup. Then plug the external usb superdrive and that's it." Answered by Enrique T from Lima Oct 25 2013.
If you can locate an external Apple USB 'Air" superdrive for earlier model MacBook Air, that should work. The newer one for the Air is the same as for iMac, now.
You may be able to use other brands of external USB optical drive with your older intel-based iMac, as some of them function capably. A few should also be able to see system discs or other bootable utilities on DVD.

After I upgraded to Firefox 4 nothing worked very well. It was slow, crashed a lot and froze, so I uninstalled and downloaded and installed again but then it wouldn't work at all. So uninstalled again. I decided to try 3.6 again as it worked well before , but now it won't work. I can't uninstall because it says Firefox is running and to close it but I have nothing open so how do I close something that isn't open? Never had trouble with Firefox but I'm about done with it. Please advise as to how to fix this. Firefox was in safe mode then it wasn't. What a mess.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

I have just bought an airport time capsule and i am trying to install an airport utility programme to support this
However, it seems the version 6 which came out last year - i can't use on my Mac - Snow Leopard -
So tried to then install version 5.6.1 and although this installed properly, it says this will not support my capsule
2. I have BT home hub 2. I presume I cannot bypass this as the internet router? I bought the time capsule for its capability to back up . The router was a byproduct. But am I correct in thinking that it acts as a secondary router or a booster rather than a primary router . I still need the BT homehub?

Firefox 20 does not work for me AT ALL - totally unusable
I downloaded Firefox 20.0 this morning, as I update my browser whenever they are available. To my consternation I discovered that it made my browser completely useless. When I restarted after install, all I got was a blank page. I normally get my Session Manager prompt to tell me which previous browsing session to go back to. When I typed in a webpage address, I noticed the tab suddenly had two close buttons, one on each side, rather than the one the right that's always been there. I went to several different websites from that tab, and the back/forward toolbar buttons were grayed out and wouldn't work, same with the reload button. I opened a new tab and noticed that the web address in the address bar was the same as the address in the previous tab, it wasn't blank. I still could not use the back/forward/reload buttons. I went to Preferences, checked around to see if anything changed from my settings in 19.0.2, and saw that everything was the same. I finally got so completely frustrated I re-downloaded 19.0.2 just so I could have complete functionality again.
Is anyone else experiencing these same problems? If so, were you able to fix it somehow and what did you do to fix it? I don't like using non-current versions of Firefox, but I have no choice if I want to be able to use the damn thing.You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.

There have also problems been reported with session restore on Mac that possibly can be caused by first closing all open Firefox windows and then close the Firefox application.
Some have reported that closing Firefox (Firefox > Quit) while the browser window is still open works for them to avoid this. -
My MacBook Pro Retina keeps freezing up. It seems that it is happening more often as time goes on.
I first noticed that the track pad would freeze then whole computer would completly freeze.

For issues with video resolution not being consistent, I would start with resetting the NVRAM on your MacBook Pro. That will reset the resolution to its default as well as resetting other default settings like sound volume and start up volume. Firefox 5.0 not Working for Multiple Users Sharing the Laptop

I upgraded Firefox from 3.15 to 5.0 using my user ID (admin) in Vista Business SP1. The same copy of Firefox 3.15 also used to work fine under my son's user id. The new install of 5.0 works fine under my user id but immediately freezes under my son's id. I reinstalled 5.0 in the same location under my son's user id but no change.
I can get Firefox 5.0 to work under my son's login by running it as administrator but then only my bookmarks, etc. load. None of his profile or bookmarks are present.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

NeilGoogle needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.<br />

I've tried various methods but to no avail. I have a pdf document and within the pdf I'd like to embed a couple pdf documents so that all the user has to do is double click on the pdf object inside the pdf and it opens in a new window. I've tried using attachments to do it and linking it...but to no avail. Anyone know how to do? I'm using Acrobat Pro Version 11. Thanks
The "embed" feature common to MS Office applications is not applicable to PDF (for the why and wherefore of PDF get comfortable and read the ISO Standard for PDF - ISO 32000-1:2008).
You can insert other PDF files' pages into any given PDF.
You can attach files of supported formats to a PDF (of course a PDF is supported).
You cannot "embed". So, nothing is broken.

The password changed properly for this new email (which I never use) and not for the old one (which I always use). How can I fix this?

If you were on a version before this, you will have to set up a new email and password with the new sync.

Could you please help me to fix my iPhone 4S
After the latest update we've had to iOS 6, I was not able to use FaceTime, it kept giving me an error that I was supposed to wait for an activation code which never arrived, after that I read many solutions which included resetting the networks, which I did to try and fix my problem. What this actually did was to break my network settings an now it doesn't recognize any wifi signal unless I have the router next to me and even the it is difficult.
Now I don't have FaceTime or access to wifi with my iPhone!

The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility. -

Ensure the following events
1. Sender CC has ASMA and file name ticked
2. Receiver CC has ASMA and file name ticked
3. "fail if ASMA missing" untick this. If this UDF runs successfully then later you can tick this and save the changes.
3. UDF has no input as variable, since you are not using the var1 variable anywhere in your code.
4. in receiver communication channel -> File access parameters-> File name scheme -
> put a default filename with XML extension such as default.xml.
