After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.

I installed the new Mavericks update on my MacBook Pro when it was released and offered free of charge. After that my computer started crashing on a regular basis, upon the realization that my warranty was due to expire at the end of the year I took my computer in to the Apple Store in Green Hills Mall about 5 days before Christmas. To anyone not familiar with Green Hills in Nashville TN the traffic is horrendous at all times let alone 5 days before Christmas. They had to send it off for service and it was shipped back to me on Christmas Eve. Through the holidays I haven't used it much. I usually just use it at work between customers and most of the time just leave it here. Friday evening I played videos with no problems, when I came back in on Monday and played a video the sound had decreased dramatically and the volume control keys on my keyboard would not work. I don't know if they were working before because I don't remember if I used them or not since Monday was the first time the volume was so low. Now my warranty is expired and I am very poor ( The I have a job, a roof over my head and food to eat but a negative balance in checking account and bills still to pay kind of poor) so I am hoping that someone out there knows what's causing this and how to fix it.

Mavericks has had a lot of compatability issues and are slowly being fixed. This is why I haven't upgraded yet.
Either downgrade back to Mountain Lion or just wait for a software fix.

Try the Store tab in iTunes and Check for Downloads.
If that doesn't work go to the main itunes store screen in itunes and on teh right side under quick links see if you have a purchased secrion - do the tracks appear there for download?

Open iTunes on the computer. Without any iPhone plugged in, go to iTunes' menu and do Store > Sign Out.
The click the iTunes Store row on the left of the iTunes display. You can then sign on from the signon row on the right side of the display using the correct Apple ID and password. Then you'll be all set!

Make sure your headphones are plugged all the way in. The white plastic on the headset jack should be flush with the body of the nano.

Unable to purchase Grand Theft Auto 5 for Xbox One - Error in listing

I was planning on purchasing GTA5 for Xbox One tonight before the "buy 2 get 1 free" promotion expires.
However, the Xbox One listing for GTA5 is messed up! It shows a picture of the Xbox One copy of the game,
yet the title reads "Grand Theft Auto 5 - PlayStation 4"
Shipping is not available for the item, and it's not in stock at my local Best Buy (hard to believe).

The "Get $10" promotion that you are referring to is a separate promotion from the Victory Can Be Pre-Ordered promotion.
Members of the Gamer Club Unlocked community will still receive their $20 Reward Zone certificate when they pre-order and purchase the games from the list of Victory Can Be Pre-Ordered titles.
I would like to clarify that customers will not be allowed to combine the two promotions. Here is a link to an FAQ relating to our new "Get $10" promotion.

I have eactly the same problem - it seems that the downloaded version on MBA is version 6.0 and on iPad is is version 2.0 -
Issue is when i tried to save the presentation on MBA Keynote 09 - Keynote crashed.
I tried to save is as Powerpoint in MBA and it crashed as well!
