You may be able to redownload your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
BTW, did you sync to the laptop before? Yu can only sync to one iTunes library. If you sync to to another library the iPod will be eerased and it contents replace with what is in the iTunes library on the computer.

Well my cousin locked me out of my ipad 3 and it said to connect to iTunes, I did and it Said to restore so I did and now I can't find my music on my ipad or on iTunes and the computer I used to restore I had use in recovery mode can I get my music back?

This will very likley result in loss of data.
Plug the iPhone into the computer.
Ensure that it is running the latest version of iTunes and that it has access to the internet.
Press and hold both the home and sleep/wake buttons for exactly eight seconds.
Release only the sleep/wake button but continue to hold the home button for another five seconds.
Let go of the home button, then look at the computer screen for an instructional popup.
The popup should say "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode. . .(etc)" Click accept to all boxes and let iTunes download and install all of the latest device Firmware and Software.
If no popup appears, repeat the above DFU instructions. If you've never done a DFU, it may take about three attempts to get the timing right.

I had a problem that forced me to reinstall my OS (Tiger 10.4.10), and now GarageBand can't find my Apple Loops although they are clearly there in the root Library in the Audio folder. - If they are not in iTunes match in the Cloud or on your computer then they are likely gon.
- Just what did you do? You have to turn on/subscribe to Match on your computer and then it will "match" the music in your iTunes library and uploasd any that are not in the Apple's iCloud library
- As Apple stated,
When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.

If you registered your Lightroom with Adobe after you installed it, you can log into your Adobe account and get your serial number from your account.

Backing up the iPhone to the computer won't transfer the music to it; to do that, you need to use the Transfer Purchases function. If you're looking for music already on the computer, search it for files with an extension of mp3, m4a, or m4p.

"Rebooting" means restarting &, as fruhulda said, that won't cause things to disappear. If you mean you had the hard drive erased & the system reinstalled, you will have to find the original disk with the AppleWorks installer.
