Hi, you can't change which ID was used to purchase any app. However, you can edit your Apple ID, which may be a better option than using a new id.

Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in with your current Apple ID
Change the Apple ID to the old one and save changes.
Sign in on the device with the same password for your account.
After logging in and signing out of Facetime, Messages, iCloud and itunes and app store, go back to Apple ID.com and change it back to your normal Apple ID.
Go to your email account and reverify your account by clicking on the Verify now link
Now re-login to those services with your normal Apple ID and password. -

Ok I changed my apple ID because the old one was through a old boyfriend, now I have a new one and everything changed over except now when I try to get on certain apps (mainly all) his old ID keeps popping up instead of mine.
I.e. (Instagram, Facebook, email) how does that change.Apps are forever linked to the ID used to download them. If that is a problem t hen delete those old apps and download them again with the new ID. You can change ID in settings/it uses & App Store tap on ID And log in with new ID

/Could be that you need to update an app. All apps are tied to the apple id that was used to download apps.

It sounds like you may have created a new Apple ID and not edited the old one. Any applications that were downloaded from the old account will need the Apple ID and password from the account that downloaded them to update. You can either enter the password for that account or delete the applications and download them fresh from your new account to resolve this issue. I had to change to a new Apple MacBook Pro. I deauthorized my old computer, authorized the new one and the only media that shows up are items with a cloud. No. Firewire and Ethernet are not the same. Ethernet would be used to connect the computers to your network. A Firewire cable is used to connect the computers directly. They are different ports.

you list bits you have tried but don't say if you have tried a new lead?
i'm not being tricky, as an electronics engineer of some 40+ years who repairs consuls, iPhones, iPads etc. i have some experience of what gets overlooked. Some of the cheap after market leads aren't the best quality,and some darn right lethal, likely to catch fire while your asleep. you might have bought of them.
i find it tends only genuine Apple leads lock in, but there might be fakes of them to. either way worth a go. perhaps se if your family or mates have one.

My ipod screen is cracked and i can't sync my ipod to itunes because it is locked with a password and i can't enter the password because the heat sensor is messed up on the ipod becasue of the screen and i don't want to restore it and lose everything. What can i do?!
All you can do is to restore and thus erase the iPod unless you can get a data recovery company to preserve the data.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you didn't already do so, authorize your computer for the new ID by opening iTunes and going to Store>Authorize This Computer. Then sync your phone with iTunes.
