I hate the last version of Firefox 34.0.05
It has fouled up all my settings, How do I revert to an earlier version and recover all my settings?
This version changed my home page, forces me to enter my master password on any webpage, not just the ones I have stored user ID and Passwords for. Plus it fouled up all my search engines, ignores disabled search engines like Ebay, Yahoo, Bing, and others I do not use and do not want.
My problem is, if I manually install an older version with auto updates off (which I neglected before this version ruined it), how can I recover all my user ID's and Passwords to avoid manually installing them (again) in the older version that works much better?
So far after a few days, I hate this version to the point I'll stop using it until I can fix it.
Indeed, the useragent showed version 3.5.5 when typing "about:support" in the adress bar of the navigator:
general.useragent.override
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; fr; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 FBSMTWB
So i reseted the preference as suggested:
Reset general user-agent
type about:config in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key
if you see the warning, accept it (promise to be careful)
Filter = general.useragent
items in bold and that indicate user set; right-click that preference and select Reset
restart Firefox (File > Restart Firefox)
And now it seems that it works as the user agent tured to :
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2
Thanks a lot!

Which was the last version of Firefox that Supported Java Platform 6 ?
I want to know the the last version of Firefox that Supported Java Platform 6 update 45 (Java SE Runtime Environment 6u45) ?
In other words which version of firefox started support for Java 7 ?Please also give links to the problem pages if they are public so that we and others may test them. You could also consider contacting the sites concerned directly yourself.
Using Java can raise security concerns, and especially so using outdated versions.

What is the last version of firefox that works with albine 0.748 ?
My albine worked with the last version before I upgraded to 17. I did not save that version and would like to go back to it. I did save firefox 9 and that is what I am using now but I believe you have a later version that i could use.
What was the version before 17 and where can I find it?
I hate to go back to windows explorer unless I have to.
You should let us know what will not work with your upgrades before we start them. Had I known Albine would not work I wouldn't have upgraded.
Thanks.the abine 0.750 works with firefox 17
Thanks,

I cannot download info from my banking site since upgrading to the last version of Firefox
I can no longer download parts of my banking info since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox. Prior to this I had no problem bringing up statements. Now it gives me giberish. The bank says it supports up to 3.0 version, but not the later versions.
I think you must download and install the other supported version(except the latest 9.0.x) which is '''3.6.25''' from here:

thank you

What is the version that you recommend that used on my computer until the release of the official version of Firfox ?
The current release is always the best choice for normal (non-testing) users.<br />
The will always be a next Firefox version that is currently under testing and that will become the release when it is considered ready.<br />
There are three other version available for testing purposes by experienced people that know how to deal with possible bugs.<br />
If you are not in that category then best is to stay with the current release (Firefox 16.0.1).

I want to be able to click on the back arrow button and scroll down to the page I want to go back to instead of having to hit the button 3 or 4 times to get to where I want to go.
You can revert back to Firefox 3.6 very easily how ever this is not recommend as support will eventually end for Firefox 3.6.
1. Uninstall Firefox 4.0 - '''Making sure that you do not remove your personal data unless you want to''' (Bookmarks, History, etc...)
2. Download Firefox 3.6 from here [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html] -

For example. When checking spam in Gmail.....if I ask to delete all spam mail.....the cursor would automatically go to the box that pops up asking for confirmation. I can't figure out how to get that feature back. Otherwise everything works great!
I have the same problem getting into Mozilla. Occasionally it comes up when I click on it, but most times it does not. The hour glass stays on for a couple of seconds, then goes off.

I just downloaded the new 8.0 version of Firefox, but all of my extra tabs, auto fill, Google search tool bar, etc, etc, are gone and I want them back!!
How do I reverse back to the last version of Firefox?
I tried "RESTORE" to the day before on my computer, but that did not put everything back.
How can I get these things back??
Thanx,
C.Hey,
There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. You should consider [http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback leaving feedback] for the developers so that they can continue to improve the product. If you are just having trouble finding things, you go to ''Firefox > Options > Menu bar''. This will give you a more familiar feel by enabling all of the menu items you are used to. You should also check out this article on [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36 common questions after upgrading]. It will explain all of the UI changes. Everything is still there, it's just been moved around a bit.
If you still want to roll back to a previous version of Firefox, just take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Installing a previous version of Firefox]].
Hopefully this helps! -
I try to download the newest version firefox and a box come up saying it can't download all that I want and ask for administrator and password, What gives her and why do you have this?
