I have a flash game I want to run in the background while surfing other tabs. When I change tabs the game automatically pauses. How can I stop this.
Is this a flash issue or can I force this game to run in the background somehow.
Does this also happen if you run that game in another window?
You can tear off a tab to a new window by slightly dragging the tab down in the browser area.

Flip the Ring/Silent switch. Make sure Vibrate when silent is off in Settings>Sound.

So i already tranferd my itunes library to my seagate freeagent EHD, and i want to remove all my music from my laptop to free up space. How can i have all my music show up on my itunes when i plug in my EHD?
First, make sure you have really transferred the whole library. If you did this with changing preferences you did not do it right.

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.
Always make sure the drive is on before starting iTunes. -
I want to put my wifi password in for internet but mac automatically connects, how can i stop this?
So I connect to my wifi automatically, but recently I simply want it to ask for a wifi password instead of automatically connecting because other people use this MacBook also...
Doesn't each user have a login with a different password.. the login on the Macbook itself is much more important than the wireless login.
You should be able to set the Airport or wifi to not remember the password.
Untick remember the network.. clean them all out of the airport settings and start over.. -

You may have an unwanted extension that is modifying sites (or the toolbar area). Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that flush the tab?

I have created another iTunes library (so I have 1 for an ipod touch and a separate 1 for an iPad), but the apps from the iPad appear in both libraries. How can I stop this so the 2 libraries are completely separate? Thanks
You don't need two separate libraries to manage two devices.
I suspect the reason that the apps are appearing in both libraries is that you have enabled automatic downloads in iTunes and automatic syncing of apps so that all your purchases end up in both libraries, defeating your original aim.
Why not use a single library and make playlists for the media content you want on each device? Disable Settings > Store > Automatic Downloads > Apps on each device, then connect each device in turn and turn off Automatically Sync Apps on the Apps page.
You can now manage your devices independently, while only having to manage the content of one iTunes library, instead of two.

I am asked over and over again if I want to shut down my computer now. No matter how many times I click "cancel" the box returns with the same maddening question. I'm using Lion on a Mac Pro. How can I get this to stop?
Perhaps the problem is that your Security setting is set to log you out immediately that your Sleep mode activates. And maybe your sleep setting is quite frequent.
Otherwise you may have set a shutdown timing in Energy Saver>Schedule that keeps repeating when you cancel the Shut Down window.
I haven't tried these yet and they are rather obscure, but they may be the software problems to check before servicing your hardware (keys and power button). -
Im trying to import a large amount of pictures to Iphoto. I have pleanty of space on my HD. But half way thru the transfer an error message comes up and says not enough disc space. How can I fix this?
I. I want to import 58.64 GB of Photos from an external HD
2. I have 278.28 GB space left on my HD
3. The exact error message goes like this......
Insufficient Disk Space
iPhoto cannot import your photos because
there is not enough free space on the
volume containing your iPhoto library
I Have researched this and most advice is to empty the iPhoto trash. I have already done this and it did not help.

Yes there have been a number of reports posted about this, it seems different people experience different results here with some finding the same as you, some finding that it won't work at all with the TV turned off and some finding that if music is sent from iTunes on the mac/pc that as long as the TV is on when the stream starts, the TV can be turned off afterwards.
My assumption here is that it depends on the TV itself, although that probably doesn't help all that much. -
I have just had an iPod mini but my messages are coming through on my iPad and my iPhone how can I stop this happening ? Do I need to reset my iPad ?
To prevent messages from reaching both devices you can turn off Messages on the device you do not want to receive messages but keep Messages on on the device you do want to receive Messages.
You might also look at this option for both devices.
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive > review the a riotous choices for how you can e reached and select the ones that are most appropriate for you and the device you are setting. -

ThxI wish mine would sync. I have iCloud and want to be able to move from device to device and see all my message threads but when people send an imessage to my iphone the thread will not appear on my other devices - ipad or Mac. Frustrating...
