I have a hp photosmart printer. i am trying to print a page of labels avery 5160.

When I put the label page in (Avery 5160) and click 'print', it spits out the label page and prints on a plain piece of paper instead. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

Photosmart - Printing alignment page problem

Setting up my printer and it is trying to print the alignment page but every time it prints a blank page. I am pretty sure it's a hardware problem (cartridges are brand new) but cannot nail down the exact reason why.

What printer model? What operating system? Make sure the clear protective tape has been removed from the cartridges.

How to print a page of labels in pages

Where and how to print a sheet of mutiple labes in pages.

I have managed to open Address Book... then select say the USA group or other... go to file, print, style: mailing labels, then Layout and chose A4 page and Avery ref. On the left I see all the addresses as they will look on the label. So far, so good. However... how do I make the COUNTRY appear on the labels... I have typed it in at the end of each address, but it does not show on the label and then I have to write in individually... when you have a large number it is inefficient... surely there must be an answer to this?! Can anybody help?!

Addressbook - printing full page address labels

Here's a helpful tip for those trying to print Avery label sheets of the same address using the included Avery printing function in Addressbook: (ie: 80 of the same label on a single 5167 sheet)
Create a group.
Create a new card with the address etc...
Select the card in the second column.
Copy.
Paste 9 times, to create a total of 10 identical cards in the group.
Select All.
Copy.
Paste 7 times to create a total of 80 cards in the group.
Print.
Select save as PDF from the Print dialog.
With this document, you should now be able to print full sheets of address labels from Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I was speaking with one of my colleagues and we would like you to try the following steps. Once you have completed the steps please try printing again.
1)    Please reset your printing system, I have included a document on how to do this. Please be aware that this reset deletes all print settings and pending print jobs from your Mac.
2)    In the "Printers & Scanners" please click on the '+' and choose "Add another printer or scanner from the options (see screen shot)
3)    Choose your Laserjet CM1415fnw and at the bottom where it says "USE" please change it to the HP Laserjet (see screen shot) instead of AirPrint

This PC World review says 1.5 pages per minute for colour photo, which I imagine refers to A4, so 4 minutes for a 6x4 does not sound right. It won't be a Photoshop thing though. More print driver and OS.

HT3500 I have mosx Lion have no driver for my photosmart c4580 printer and the printer test page gives no ip address. How do I get my printer to work?

We bought a new Mac bookpro using the latest version of lion 10.8. We also have a c4580 photosmart printer and have bee unable to find a driver down load for this printer and our Macbook. We have tried to use u tube and other sites including Apple support to try to connect to our printer. We run a printer test page and the ip address comes up "not applicable". Do we need to connect the macbook to the router? What are we doing wrong? HP site will not give us a driver download. I have to buy it. Seems simplar to goand buy a new printer but this one is still good. Can anyone help? We are not as software savy as alot of you out there. Thanks.

My 5510 photosmart printer will not print black any longer, I have tried everything !

I have the hp photosmart printer 5510. It has stopped printing black. I did numerous cleanings, turned if off and on using the formula stated in the help section...nothing is working and I cannot keep wasting my color ink printing test pages over and over. This is frustrating obviously there is an issue with these printers! Can i get this fixed or am i going to have to box it up and ship it back to hp???

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the printer. Have you tried another Black cartridge to rule out if the replacement cartridge was a problem? I would pull out that cartridge and check to warranty ends date that is printed on the cartridge's label. Also reseating all the cartridges might help. Pull them all out and insert them back in to reseat them. If you have done these steps too you might want to call in to customer support so they can look at this hardware issue. If you are in warranty they can look at various options to help you out. How do I print a 4"x5" invitation on my HP Photosmart printer?

I have an HP Photosmart printer and have changed the printer settings to the custom size of the paper but it still prints my doc in the middle of the 8" paper width. It should be printing on the right side of the printer where rnvelopes and smaller sheets of paper can be trayed for the printer. I have tried to adjust every setting I know about in the printer settings. What next? My computer runs Windows 7.

Nevermind. I found more settings to select the proper size paper under printer 'properties', then selected 'features'... success.

USB 1 vs 2 and a 7660 photosmart printer and an Airport...

We have a 7660 photosmart printer that we use to print with through an Airport Extreme. The Airport is new, as is the laptop that we use, which is a mac running Snow Leopard. We have to have the Airport and the printer quite a distance apart, and so use a long USB cable with a 10' extension on it.
Here's the question: With an old USB 1 cable and extension we can print both through the usb port and the airport. But with a new usb 2 cable and extension, we can only print through the port. The USB 2 cable is a tad longer and it would be good to be able to use that. Is there any way to use the USB 2 cable with the Airport, or are we stuck with the USB1 cable. And if so, where can I get a longer one

You should be able to use a USB 2.0 cable...in fact, I'm pretty sure Airport extreme requires it.
First, which Mac are you using? And can you tell which version of the Airport Extreme software you have installed? If not, go to the Apple menu, select "About this Mac", then click the "more info" button. You should then have a large screen with a lot of info. On the left side, click on "Airport" under "Networks". On the right you should see new info, including the version of Airport sw. Make sure the Airport Utility is at least 5.5.2. Can you tell me what they say?

Free efax on 7520e photosmart printer

cannot get my 7520e photosmart printer to connect wireless, purchased it last year but was told they were working on a fix, after the fix it would not work at all, again phoned and was told the download fix made things worse and they were working on a patch to download.
Have not been back to my other home in almost a year so no idea if it is working or not, it would print ok but only via a USB cable.
Have the apps and free Efax been taken away from that aswell as I have a 7510e photosmart printer here but cannot send faxes even though my eFax number and address shows on the front of my printer
and in eprint settings.This one is connected wireless shared between a windows 7 64 bit desktop and a windows 8.1 64 bit desktop, both desktops are wired but to a wireless router.

I would like to assist in any way I can in an attempt to get the 7520 connected to your Wireless. Did I read correctly and you are not with that printer at this time?
Regarding the eFax and apps for the 7520, they are still active. However, the eFax is not free on the 7520, compatible with eFax and you will need to subscribe with eFax.
If you are not with the printer, will you be soon? Let me know the connection error, router brand, etc and I will see if I can help.

HP Photosmart printer D110a, product No. CN733A

I am very frustrated. I have an HP Photosmart printer D110a, prod. no. CN733A thta works great in every way except I can't figure out how to scan a document with OCR and transfer it to a word document. I used the Help menue; but it is useless. It tell me to "scan to File" and save as a "Text, RtF or HTML" and none of these (test,RTF or HTML) are available.
Can you give me step by step directions on how to scan using OCR with my D110a software? I am really frustrated with the help section of the software.

Currently the most PhotoSmart printers do not come with OCR software. Click here for a link to an OCR download that may help you. (D110 is not on the list but it should work) After it is installed "Scan using OCR" will be a option when scanning. Hope this works for you.

Printing alternate pages

I want to print on both sides of the paper but do not have a duplex attachement. In the past I have merely printed alternate pages then printed on the back but the menu does not seem to have the option of printing alternate pages.

Please follow these instructions, Print on Both Sides of the Paper (Duplex) for HP Officejet 7610 and 7612 Wide Format e-All-in-One Printers to guide through the solution. Manual printing on both sides of the paper (without a duplexer)Use the manual duplex printing method in situations that do not support using the automatic duplexer. I have an hp photosmart c7280 all-in-one series printer won't print. error message, system problem

I have an HP Photosmart All-in-One C7280 series printer/fax/copier/scanner. I have been having issues with printing for the past few weeks. It is a wireless printer, with a jack into the wall (for fax) and it is plugged into a power source. I never used to have issues with it before, but recently, it won't print when I send a document to it to print. It will print its configuration pages, reports, etc if I select them from the Printer's menu but not when I send a doc to it to print. First it was saying it was offline, but I figured out how to override that by operating as an administrator and selecting "Use Printer Online" from the dropdown menu when I right clicked on the printer from the control panel. But now it says "Error: Printer failed to print document. System error".
Noooo clue what to do now. This is the only color printer we have so we kind of need it to work. We bought this printer off the shelf at a office store (before I started working here) and so we don't have any designated technichians to work on it. I asked the guy who services our Image Runner Copier to look at it but he had no clue what was wrong with it. Hopefully someone can help?
