I have a new 5s - my text messages are coming through on my I-pad but not my new phone - why?
My 5s developed a fault so Apple gave me a new phone - backed it up with I-cloud but now my text messages are only coming through on my I-pad not my phone and can't work out why?

We want to provide you all the answers that you need. Verizon Messaging is a great application that we offer. When you logged into the website for the messages did you sign out when you were done? If not it still may assume you are online and wanting to receive messages.

When reception allows the iPhone sends and receives the messages, this is also dependent on the reception of the other phone you are communicating with. If you really feel you have a problem, contact your Carrier about the problem.

not sure if this started happening after last update but my phone most of the time goes straight on voice mail even though i have service and no alerts to say i have a missed call, also most of my text messages r coming through on silent also so i am losing alot of buisness, has any1 else had or having the same prob, im hoping it corrects in the next update, it a new iphone5s, ty
Go to control center on your IOS 7 and verify that your 'do not disturb' is disabled.

I have just had an iPod mini but my messages are coming through on my iPad and my iPhone how can I stop this happening ? Do I need to reset my iPad ?
To prevent messages from reaching both devices you can turn off Messages on the device you do not want to receive messages but keep Messages on on the device you do want to receive Messages.
You might also look at this option for both devices.
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive > review the a riotous choices for how you can e reached and select the ones that are most appropriate for you and the device you are setting. -
I am having trouble sending pictures in text messages to anyone whether its a iphone user or not. Anyone know why? It just keeps saying not delievered
Had the same problem a while ago. Call your mobile operator and they should guide you. It is some numbers that varies from each phone operator...

Not all of my messages are coming through my email????
My computer restarted this morning and now my thunderbird email isn't working properly. Some emails are coming through but when I check emails on my iphone there have been other emails coming through (on my phone) which are not showing up in thunderbird on my computer?? I haven't changed anything, all I did was restart my computer. Help please!!
Not sure what would cause that but you might try setting it up as an Exchange account to see if you have more success, as explained here:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32784/sync-hotmail-with-your-iphone-or-ipod-touch -with-exchange-activesync/. (If you don't want to sync contacts or calendars just turn these to off.)

So I updated to iOs 6 (4s phone) and today all the text messages I received were also sent to my son's 4s as well (he is on iOs 6 now too) ***??? Can anyone help me out on this one?????
Did you by chance give your son your old iphone 4s and activate a new iphone 4s? If so, you may need to contact your carrier or wait the period of time required for it to finally switch.

Note that I have also tried creating several different Apple IDs in the hope this would solve the problem, however it has failed to do so.
That means there is a common email address( or maybe a phone number if one ID is associated with an iPhone with iOS 6). On each device go to Setting>Messages>Send and receive and make sure that the same email address or phone number is not listed on both devices.

Me and my husband share the same Apple ID
I logged onto my Mac book and the messages popped up, it shows all messages sent from my phone and my husbands.
There are some random conversations in there that I didn't send and my husband is denying.
How do I (a) see what phone sent these, and (b) is this possible to not be either of us?You cannot see what phone/device sent the iMessages, unless you look at that particular device and they have not been deleted from the device.
Anyone with access to the Apple ID & Password can send iMessages on that Apple ID from an iMessage capable device. -
Pictures sent to my iphone 6 via text messaging are stuck in downloading phase
Pictures that are being sent to me via text messaging are stuck in "downloading" phase. I can not receive any pictures on my new iphone6. Is anyone else experencing this?

Lucky for me the first one worked--went into settings->messages and turned iMessage off, waited a few seconds, turned it back on. Images came through just fine after that. We'll see if it lasts. -
My iphone 5 went into search mode and I can't place or receive calls or use the internet but my text messages work. Sprint had me do a master reset and my phone doesn't work at all now I can't get it past the activation. Will I have to pay for repairs in store because I didnt get the Apple care plan when I purchased it. Sprint said it may be a phone problem not sure if I should take it to Sprint or Apple...I just need my phone

The new version of the software for my iPhone 4 changed the way text messages are managed.
I can no longer delete individual texts from a text "conversation." I also have not figured out how to forward texts, which I was able to do in the prior version.
Anyone know a way to edit out individual messages without losing the entire string?
Anyone know if there is a way to forward messages?When you have the conversation open, if you tap & hold on a message bubble, you should get a new menu pop-up. It should have 2 options "Copy" and "More..." If you select the "More..." option it will then let you select one or more message bubbles and delete the selected ones by hitting the trach can icon in the lower left corner. As for forwarding, you probably just select the "Copy" option, then paste the contents into a new message...

I just switched from a iPhone 4S to iPhone 5S and now my text messages are showing up on my iPad as well as my phone. How to I turn this feature off and just keep them on my phone?
This is for imessage - go to settings - message - send&receive and start a new convo - remove or uncheck the apple id.

I have a new phone and when asked do i want to start this phone as a new phone or back up from last backup, i chose to back up from last back up and have had my recent photos texts and call replaced with ones from about 18 months ago. is there any way of undoing this?
