With an iPad you can't. At least not just with the native app. iPads do not support SMS messaging. you will need to look into alternate messaging apps from the app store, such as Text Plus.

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and try to sign in there with her ID. Make sure that you are entering all of the information (password) correctly.
If you really want to create a new Apple ID - use your own email address, but I would recommend using only one ID anyway. -

If it's not available in your country and you do not have a copy of it in iTunes backed up on your computer, you don't.

Your iPad will use wifi first if available. If wifi is not available, it will use 3G.

If you did not set up Find My iPad, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPad (the iTunes Store, for instance).

I have an iPad and an iPhone 6. They are on two different Apple ids. How do I do I change the Apple id on my phone to match my iPad?
On the phone, go to Settings, and change the iCloud and iTunes Store AppleIDs (sign out of the one you have, sign into the one you want). Note that you can't transfer apps from one AppleID to another, so you may still be prompted for your old AppleID password to update any apps that you installed under that ID.

It's so annoying!! I have created a new Apple ID but after I click verify it just goes back to the previous page!!!
