iPhones that use the ARM chips (2g + 3g) are VERY slow to boot. Sometimes in excess of 1 minute 30 seconds (personal experiece). Assuming the device is not JB or has anything wanted on it, such as photos, do a DFU Restore. To cut it short, it basically forces itunes to give it the latest ios (4.something I think). I connected my iphone 4s that I unlocked for t-mobile. I plugged it into itunes, and it asked me to update to ios6. I accepted the download and update button. It told me it needed 8 hours. Yes, and, I try to restore. I have the T-Mobile sim card in it just to clarify. It will not let me get passed that, it does not accept the t-mobile sim card. i tried restoring it using wifi, cellular, and i cant get i tunes. I am scared that if i take the tmobile sim card out and put the at&t one in just to complete the restoration process that the iphone will lock again and not read the tmobile sim card, then all my hard work has gone for nothing. ( this whole process was caused by me trying wanting to empty my pictures onto my computer because i did not have any storage space left). <--- that may not be as important, but i included it just because.

You need to restore it. If it doesn't work on our current computer, try borrowing someone else's. If your iPhone is jailbroken then you are pretty much screwed. Also, you should try putting it in DFU, which would restore it thoroughly. Follow these steps:
Plug your device into your computer
Turn off the device by holding the Sleep/Wake or Power button and swiping it off
Hold the power button for 3 seconds
Begin holding the Home button without releasing the Sleep/Power button for 10 seconds
Release the power button and continue holding the home button until you get a popup from iTunes that your device is recognized as being in recovery mode. -
I have a iPod classic 2gb. I haven't used in years and I charged it for 3 hours and it won't turn on and I tried resetting and nothing. I plugged it into iTunes and iTunes doesn't even recognize it. I just have a black screen. PLEASE HELP!!!

When I went to update ios7 it came up as plus into iTunes. When I plug it into iTunes it's making me retire my phone but has been on "contacting the iPhone update server" for over a half hour. What do I do?
To clarify, I meant to say, when I plug my phone into my computer and connect to ITunes.

my ipod will not update. I have plugged it into itunes and authorizing the computer but, it still says that all of the purchased product has not been transfered. It keeps telling me to authorize the computer which I have done. The purchased items were purchased using an $10 gift card, would that have anything to do with it?

Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.

iPhone or iPod touch displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive
If you see the image below, charge the iPhone or iPod touch with USB power adapter for at least 15 minutes.
You should see this image when iPhone or iPod touch begins to charge:
If the screen still displays the low-battery icon, try turning the iPhone or iPod touch off and then on again.

For the enugh space, you are trying to sync too much media to the iPhone -
This morning, i downloaded about 16 songs to put on my ipod, and i manually dragged them over to my ipod to sync that way (like i always do because the music on my ipod came from a different computer which I no longer have) and on my way to work, i realized my ipod says "no content" under Music. However, when I plug my ipod into itunes and click on the music tab under my ipod name, all of my music is there. What happened and how do i get that music back on my ipod? I need help asap.
You had a glitch and the music files got corrupted. I know of no way to uncorrupt them.
You can try using a computer app like iFunbox

to see if yo can get them from the iPod in a usable file.
Otherwise you will have to re import them to your computer and sync

I just got my iPhone unlocked in Pakistan. Now I want to insert another company's sim card in it, which is not supported of course. It is reading the sim card but shows no service. Plus I plugged it into itunes so that i could confirm it. But the phone number is n/a
Have you loaded the unlock onto your phone yet?
If yes: connect to iTunes to load the up-to-date carrier settings of your phone.
If that does not work navigate to settings>general> reset>reset network setting and confirm that.
If that does not work have your SIM replaced.
If no: backup your data, then navigate to settings>general> reset> reset contents and settings and confirm that your phone will be reset to factory settings. Then set it up again and load your backup. Now you have loaded the unlock.
If all of that does not help contact Apple to check if the carrier has really done the unlock. And if you have not doen an official unlock, but a jailbreak there is nothing I can do for you. -
Everytime my iPad runs out of battery i have to plug it into itunes and i have to keep restoring it
everytime my ipad 2 runs out of battery i have to plug it into iTunes. Once i have done that, everytime i do it tells me to restore it.

Do you have a backup of your contents? When the iPhone showed the screen with the USB cable and said to connect to iTunes, it had already entered the recovery mode which means all content had been erased. So you need a backup from before the water damage and problems started to get your contents back.
