    I have downloaded Firefox 4 but now can't open it, get the message that it isn't supported on this architecture. This is the message:
    You cannot open the application “Firefox” because it is not supported on this architecture.

  • How can I open ports on my AirPort Extreme, from WINDOWS?

    I have an Airport Extreme as my router, and I have a Windows-based computer. I need to open ports on the router (ironically, it is for my Apple TV).
    However, even though I can use the Airport Utility for Windows (latest version 5.5.3), I cannot open ports from the application.
    Everywhere I look, I am supposed to have a firewall tab in the Advanced section, but I do not have it. The only tabs that I have in Advanced are:
    Logging and Statistics
    MobileMe
    IPv6
    How can I open ports on my Airport Extreme router from Windows?

    Is your AirPort Extreme the only router in your network configuration?

    how can i test that MySQL Connected with JSP, so that i can display data from database ?
    Best Regards
    JMalik

    create a java bean, which is just similar to a java class and put the database connection there so you wouldn't have to include that code in all you jsps everytime you connect to the database
    this is for DbConnection.java
    package connection;
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class DBConnection
         private Connection con;
         public DBConnection()
              try
                  Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");
                  con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://localhost/yourfolder?user=yourusername&password=yourpassword");
            catch (Exception e)
                 e.printStackTrace();
         public Connection getConnection()
              return con;
         public void close()
              try
                   con.close();
              catch(Exception e)
                   e.printStackTrace();
    }in another bean/class which connects to your database,
    say for example this is SelectUsers.java
    public String[] selectActiveUsers(int id) throws Exception, SQLException
         try
                   con = new DBConnection().getConnection();
                   Statement stmt = con.createStatement();
                   String ins = "<your select statement>";
                            stmt.executeUpdate(ins);
                            con.close();
                   stmt.close();
             catch (SQLException se)
                    System.out.println("SQL Exception: " + se.getMessage() + "not connected");
                    se.printStackTrace(System.out);
         }and in your jsp, instantiate the class
    users.jsp
    SelectUsers su = new SelectUsers();
    String[] users = su.selectActiveUsers(1);got it?

    When I try to open up Elements 8 on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.9.5, I get "Error 6." How can I overcome that?

    I can think of no reason at all why you need a sim card to creat an Apple ID. Try this first - reboot the iPad and reset the memory.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    Afte the iPad starts up again, follow the directions in this support article - exactly - to creat the account without a credit card.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
    IF ... You are signed into another Apple ID on the iPad you will have to sign out of that ID in order to create a new one. Settings>Store - you can sign out there.
    You MUST try to download a free app in order to start the process off correctly. If you were using an email address with another ID that you already created, you will have to have another email address to associate the new ID with.

  • How can I open port 80

    I am using a 2wire modem/router. I was told by a tech at ATT that I can only click a button that allows ALL ports open, but not just port 80.
    Does anyone know if there is a way to open port 80 ONLY? I'm next to done setting up a security CCTV system for my home, and this would allow me to use my computer to look at whats going on, rather than buying a new monitor.
    Thanks for helping.

    Thanks for the reply. You and X423424X are close. From the beginning. I bought a 4 camera DVR security surveillance system. Yesterday, we installed it. I was told by the place from which I bought it ( and subsequently from the manufacturer's tech guy)  that if I wanted to use my computer for a monitor for the security setup, that in the Router Firewall Settings I would have to identify the device, and then 'direct' the device "through" port 80 to be able to view the 'goings on outside' (the input from the cameras) from my computer monitor. Inclusive with this configuration via the iMac, is that the DVR is recording all the time, and I could download any portion of the recorded material from the DVR to the iMac and burn it to a disk, for example to give to the cops if there was a theft. AND, it was also mentioned that in order to remote view whats going on around the place from say, a laptop or pc when I'm out of town can also be done, but that would require opening another port, with 4 digits, like 3806, or similar. I will eventually get the port number for this operation later. So that is what I'm trying to do.
    So far, the 'local tech' from the security store seems to have limited knowledge of the Mac, and of the 2Wire router/modem. So HE was on the phone with first the tech support from the security cam/DVR dealers, and then with an ATT tech. The ATT tech was the one that said, in the firewall settings on the modem, there is a button that opens ALL ports, and that was the only way to allow port 80 to be used for the DVR/security setup.
    I think that he is incorrect. I think that there is a way to view the camera images on my Mac monitor, and that there is a way to configure the settings on the router to allow the camera images to  be seen on the computer screen, and that I could also download to the HD on the iMac any 3 or 4 minute portion of what is recorded on the DVR, in order to burn a copy. I have a co-worker that had a car taken, and her neighbor was there in an instant telling her thatt he had the whole thing on his video surveillance, and had a disc burnt in about 5 minutes, which went to the police. Her car was found, and the perp arrested within 2 hours.
    THATS what I want to end up with (no, not a stolen car, but the configuration), and I'm hoping that I can find the way to get 'er done here. There is only one good Apple/OS X tech in this town, and he is on vacation for another week. AND, I'm not sure he is a 2wire expert.
    So, again, thank you for any help or input.

  • Live Streaming video and Flex2(3?) + Flash Media Server?

    I've seen alot of topic on how to create video sites for
    clips, etc. with Flex and Flash Media Server, but how about live
    streaming video, like a concert or a seminar. I can't find any
    information on this at all, could anyone point me in the right
    direction?

    What you need is grab video/sound form camera/mic, publish it
    on FMS and let the other clients play it. In a few steps:
    // get camera and mic
    var cam:Camera = Camera.getCamera(); // get default camera
    var mic:Microphone = Microphone.getMicrophone(); // get
    default mic
    // if you have VideoDisplay, for monitoring
    videoDisplay.attachCamera(cam);
    // create new RTMP connection to FMS/your app
    var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    // new stream should be create *after* nc has connected, not
    before
    // so this is executed after the below nc.connect() succeeds
    nc.attachEventListener(Event.CONNECT, function(){
    var ns:NetStream = new NetStream();
    ns.attachCamera(cam);
    ns.attachMicrophone(mic);
    ns.publish("streamname", "live"); // or "record" if you want
    to live+rec
    // connect to default instance of app 'appname' on your FMS
    nc.connect("rtmp://fms.ip.address/appname");
    If you're using Flex2 and FMS2 (the latest FMS is 3), you
    might need to
    cuange the connection encoding to AMF0 (which is what FMS2
    uses) in order for this to work.
    Hope this helps; I've written it from my head so it probably
    has mistakes, but it's the general workflow; the docs in the
    language reference for specific functions mentioned here will also
    help.

  • Need help with Flash media server

    I am using XAMPP. Now i want to intall Flash media server. How can i configure my apache server to work with flash media server? I dont want to install the apache server coming along with flash media

    Hi,
    What excactly is the usecase you are trying here? Are using your external Apache to proxy your http traffic from FMS to it or do you want to use http streaming feature of FMS?
    If you want to proxy it then use the following document : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashMediaServer/3.5_AdminGuide/WSE2A5A7B9-E118-496f-92F9-E295 038DB7DB.html
    Refer Configure HTTP proxying topic in the document.

  • Flash Media Server Update Process

    Hi all,
    I currently have Flash Media Server 3.5.0 installed and it has been running since 2009.  It has been running for so long without issues I kind of forgot about it.  Now i see there is an update to 3.5.7.  I downloaded it but when I ran the installer it warned me that all my configuration settings may be lost.  I tried to find some info on the best procedures to follow to perform the update but was unable to find much.  I really do not want to lose my settings.  I looked in the FMS admin console but i did not see any option to backup the current settings.
    What is the best way to proceed with this update without losing your settings or negatively impacting the media server?

    Like Graeme Bull said in another related post : "You can keep up on that on the product manager's blog though http://blogs.adobe.com/ktowes/"

  • Flash Media Server...Other Version???

    Okay so theres the Flash Media Server Professional Edition,
    and Flash Media Server Developers Edition....
    Is there another version aside from the above like Standard
    or Lite? I've been looking but all I can find is the professional
    version. I have my own linux server and a small website I would
    like to add video chat too which requires a Flash Media Server, but
    theres no way my website can cover the costs of the FMS PRO license
    even after 4 years.
    Is there any alternative? What are the restrictions on the
    developers edition?
    Thank you very much in advance.

  • Very basic question: Flash Media Server vs. embedding flash video

    I'm hoping this is a quick easy question to answer:
    What is the difference between Flash Media Server and simply
    using a freeware Flash media player (like Flowplayer
    http://flowplayer.org/) that
    uses XML playlists to embed your Flash videos on a website?
    What are the advantages to Flash Media Server and how does
    something like Flowplayer not address issues that FMS can?
    Thanks in advance!
    Erik

    In a nutshell flowplayer delivers the video through your web
    browser. It does this via http protocol (port 80) and progressive
    download on any web server
    Progressive download finds the video on the server and plays
    it back through the player as it is being downloaded. 2 important
    things to take from this are 1, the video is being downloaded to
    the clients hard drive, at the end of the playback they will have a
    copy of your video that they can do whatever they like to and
    repost it somewhere else. 2, It plays back as it downloads, meaning
    if I'm viewing a 10 minute video from your site and want to skip
    ahead to the middle or end I have to wait for the whole video to
    download before viewing those segments. Your web host by the way
    will love you for progressive download because it will appear as
    though your transfer rate has gone through the roof. Once the
    request for the video is made there is no turning back, the client
    gets the whole thing whether they watch it or not.
    Flash media server uses the rtmp protocol. This protocol is
    an open socket protocol through port 1935. This is a two way street
    essentially. When the user views a video using FMS they basically
    get only enough of the video to keep the connection open and
    satisfy the required buffer to assure clean playback. The bytes of
    info that carry the video only go to the users memory, not the hard
    drive. This allows the user to jump back and forth around in the
    movie without having to wait for the whole thing to download.
    Hope that helps.

  • RTMFP support in Flash Media Server 4

    I see that the new Flash Media Servers were released.  Looking over the information on the product pages, Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 is the only available product that supports RTMFP connections?
    We currently have Flash Media Server 3.5 and our product utilizes RTMP connections, but I've been working with your Stratus Server and RTMFP and have found that the new protocol better fits our needs.  However, the price for Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 is beyond our budget.  Is there any possibility that RTMFP support are/will be available in the lower levels of Flash Media Server?  If not, is there any idea on the time frame for the end of Stratus?
    Thank you.

    Ed Chan wrote:
    No, unicast means the client can make an RTMFP connection to the server, and data can only be sent between client and server.  P2P functionality requires FMES.
    Forgive me as I'm still wrapping my head around FMS.
    So the RTMFP unicast with only 2 machines would basically be the same as RTMP connections to a server running a particular application?
    MachineA ----RTMFP--->FMIS==\
                                                    |<-> Application1
    MachineB-----RTMFP--->FMIS==/
    Doing it this way... the machines can still communicate with each other through the application they are connected to on FMIS?
