I have followed all the steps to fix this problem, but I do not receive texts on my new Galaxy 4 from iPhone users. I tried everything I was told and found in these forums. Still no luck.

I switched to Verizon in March 2014, from AT&T. I traded in my old iPhone4 for a Galaxy 4. Ever since, I am not getting text messages from anyone who has an iPhone unless they WORK for Verizon. I have deleted my phone from my apple profile and I don't own any other apple products. I switched to an Android because I was tired of Apple's proprietary ways. It seems not matter what I do, and I have done EVERYTHING suggested here on these forums. No luck. I am so frustrated. I have a very large family and almost everyone else has an iPhone. Even if they don't, I am not getting all their messages. I like the new Galaxy, but believe I have made a huge mistake switching carriers and phones, even though I hate Apple products.

This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I followed all the instructions on the suggested page. Many files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\ could not be deleted. Message said ""Cannot delete files: It is being used by another person or program"' but could not find iPodService.exe in task manager (also, the "Cannont delete ... " did not mention iPodService.exe).
Deleted all that I could. Reinstalled iTunes. Still same result. iTunes and computer both recognize my old iPod. Only the computer recognizes iPod Touch.

To reinstall iPhoto you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the:
HD/Library/Receipts folder (10.5 and earlier)
or from the /var/db/receipts/ folder (10.6) .
or from the /private/var/db/receipts folder (10.7 or later)
Then install iPhoto from the source it came from originally.

Use iTunes to update it. Download the latest version and install it. Once it is plugged in, it will ask if you want to update your iPhone to iOS 7. If that does not work then click restore.

Hi Vince,
It helps if you confirm what steps you have taken incase you miss something. Make sure all have same apple id and same network, reboot ATV with all cables out for 30 seconds and reboot the router too.

Firefox keeps crashing and I have followed all the steps recommended to fix problem to no avail

Every few minutes my firefox crashes and I have to start it up again. I have tried all the steps recommended to correct the problem and it still crashes. Any thoughts?

Forgot my passcode on iPhone 5s, have followed all the steps advised-still not working

I have forgotten my passcode to my iPhone 5s. When I go to restore the iPhone through my iTunes on my mac, it keeps saying that I need to turn off 'Find My iPhone'. Obviously realizing that I can't do that without my passcode, I checked discussions up here for the relevant steps. I've followed these steps several times; turned my phone off, erased my iPhone devise from iCloud, and tried turning it back on again, reconnecting to my mac and restoring, BUT it continues to tell me that I need to turn off my 'Find My iPhone' from the device.
If anyone could suggest anything, I would really really appreciate it. Going crazy trying to unlock it.

When unable to turn off Find My iPhone from the device itself, the following Knowledge Base article offers up some great information on how to do so:
iCloud: Remove your device from Find My iPhone
Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone
If you can’t turn off Find My iPhone on the device, turn off the device so it goes offline, then remove it from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com.
Note: You can also remove your iOS device by first erasing it—just follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you don’t have. You can later restore the device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Turn off the device you want to remove.
Sign in to icloud.com/#find on another computer with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud).
If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Remove from Account. If you don’t see Remove from Account, click All Devices again, then click the Delete button next to the device.
If the device comes online again, it will reappear in Find My iPhone. If your device reappears, turn off Find My iPhone on the device (follow the instructions above for removing a device by turning off Find My iPhone), or if it’s an iOS device and you no longer have it, follow the instructions below for removing an iOS device you no longer have.

HT201263 I purchased an 1gen 16GB Ipod from a seller. The ipod only shows the connect to itunes logo when connected to computer. The display shows without the word itunes. I got error codes 1603 and 1604 and have followed all the steps that were shown on

I purchased a 16gb ipod touch 1 gen and it wont restore or show the battery chaging icon. It shows the symbol of usb cable and what appears to be an itunes symbol without the itunes words being displayed. Upon trying to restore I have gotten error codes 1603 & 1604. I referred to the apple website for assistance and followed the steps to the letter with no results. So what else should I try or could I try because I have has no such luch thus far? I have held the home button and power button I tried to enter DFU mode but unsuccessful due to the screen boots with apple logo then immediately goes to the itunes screen and no further only when connected. Will not power on without usb connection have charged battery to see if it was the issue and no battery bar locator displays with or without being connected to PC.

So you did all this:
Error 1603: If you receive this error and the iOS device is not automatically placed into recovery mode, it may be necessary to do so manually. Refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore for steps on placing iPhone into forced recovery mode. Also, remove the IPSW and attempt to restore again. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Hi. I am having difficulty deleting photos from icloud - which in turn affects my 3rd generation ipad. Photos were added to icloud from my pc and then automatically added to ipad. I deleted photos from pc (not successful), attempted to reset icloud photo stream on ipad (not successful) and would appreciate any guidance as to how to remove these photos from an ipad that does not give me the option to do so.
