My iphone4 has been stuck on the connect to itunes logo for a few hours. I connected it to itunes and it says that the iphone is on recovery mode and that I need to restore it to use it with itunes. I'm afraid that if I restore it I will loose everything help please!!
AT this point whatever data you have on yoru phone is already gone since it is in recovery mode.
However you can restore from your backup, when your phone reboots from recovery.

This has happened doing the latest software update. I think I accidentally deleted iTunes before doing the latest update in trying to make room on the phone when it came up with limited space.

was prompted to install the new 4.1 for my ipod touch but the ipod has frozen on the 'connect to itunes' logo. have tried the on/off method, re-installing itunes and the control panel, administrative tools section and still won't work. have gone through the diagnostic section and comes up 'NO URL found'.... help!!! been on this all day!

Phil- Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then connecting the iPod to your computer and restoring.

I don't think it's paired with another device, as the Apple TV (3rd Gen) is the only device I have from Apple, that uses this remote (unless my iPhone or iPod can pair with it) ..or maybe the remote pairs with other than Apple products ? (Can it) ?
I have tried to press the menu and right - left - up- down - middle - play/pause simultaneously without anything happening.
All I'm left with now, is a brick with a flash on it.
I never connected it to my laptop before it broke down (as it only was 2-3 days old) can that be a problem for resetting it ? -

I have followed all relevant steps, my iPhone5 and apple TV are connected to the same wireless network, but I still cannot use airplay. When I choose the airplay option on my phone, the only option I get is "iPhone"
Welcome to the Apple Community Willy.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device. -

That's weird...this has never happened to me before. You may have to take it in to an Apple Store.

iPhone 3GS got drop and bonce once or twice... then it froze ... won't turn off or on... just started showing "connect to iTunes" logo... tried this but hasitant to for change to computer when ask... Assuming the phone is not brand new, a couple possible causes of this are:
The phone could be in Recovery Mode. If this is the case, just power the phone off and back on.
The phone could have been locked with a passcode, and the wrong code was entered too many times. If this is the case, the only way you can back it up before doing a restore is by using a computer it's been previously synced with or backed up to. -
I tried upgrading to 7.0.2 on my iphone 4 but it wont come off of the connect to itunes screen...i even installed the upgrades for itunes on my computer and still nothing...

Placing your device into recovery (DFU) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:

Additional Information:
If you have a problem getting into recovery mode then try: RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode.
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.
If the above doesn't work, then take it in to an Apple retailer for help.
