I have installed a 2 tera bit drive in second drive bay. The starup drive is small. How do I transfer data and make new drive the startup or primary drive.. Thanks. I suggest you download either CCC or SuperDuper.
Then clone the current system disk to the new system disk.
Reboot from the new disk after the clone is complete.
If everything is running correctly, you can then erase the old system disk.

You should really read the manual.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

It would depend on how old your IMac is, how mush memory you have, it it can be upgraded by OWC, etc. I have a 2006 Macbook Pro and would NOT put Mavericks on it or espeacially FCP 10.1.1 on it because the most memory it can have is 4 GB. You need at least 8 GB to work with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1. IMHO.
I would try to find a copy of Final Cut Express perhaps.

You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

I have a Thunderbolt iMac 27" with a Thunderbolt Display attached. I would like to use the iMac and Thunderbolt display in Target Display Mode for my new Thunderbolt MacBook Pro. So far, it seems I can only use the iMac screen itself. How do I do this?

When I press the Command + F2, the iMac screen becomes a secondary for the MacBook Pro, and the Thunderbolt Display becomes the primary screen for the iMac. I was hoping that both screens would become secondaries for the MacBook Pro. Does anyone know how I should proceed? I have tried to connect the Thunderbolt display directly to the MacBook Pro, and the iMac to the Thunderbolt Display via the separate Thunderbolt cable, but there was no difference. Yes, eww, the language definitely states two thunderbolt displays, but I can understand the confusion and was siding with how they could make the mistake to think it would work like they want it to. My appologies for not being clear on that point, but I think you make it clear that the language in the ad says nothing about an imac.

Yes you can store images on an external hard dive and have them referenced in Organizer. It’s best to export copies to separate folders/subfolders and that will ensure iPhoto does not get corrupted.
Alternatively you could continue to use iPhoto with the Elements Editor set up in the iPhoto prefs as your external editing app. Then there is no need to use Organizer and no need to duplicate your images.
You can then call up photos directly from iPhoto as normal with the additional option e.g.
Double-click on a thumbnail to edit in iPhoto editor.
Control (right) - click on a thumbnail to edit in the elements app.

I have just installed a new hard drive in my imac intel 20" (2006) and upgraded the memory and now the hard drive does not show up in the 'select destinations' folder of the install program. I can see the hard drive in the disk utilities window however it wont let me do anything.
It is a seagate 1TB SATA II drive however it is displaying it as a 7.3 TB.
If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them.
I have tried to erase and partition and get the same error message each time, 'Input/Output error'.
I have tried starting the thing with the install disk which is Mac OS X (Tiger?) which came with the computer. No good.

Thats correct. I can see it in the list however when I attempt to erase it or partition it it's like it's not being found or recognised and it throws up the input/output error message. I am pretty sure that the sensor it attached correctly and it is a SATA drive. I can see all the infor regarding the drive when disk utility is open and it all looks good but I cant access it or do anything with it. It's taunting me!
The install disk is in the drive and the install program runs right up to the point where you have to select the location for the install and there is just nothing in the box where you have to select the hard drive icon.
I have my suspiscions about the drive but any help would be appreciated.

Installtion got completed successfully but when I try to start capture I get this error everytime.......

I read many technet articles and other blogs but that didn't solve this issue. I tried things like
A) Run as administrator
B) nmconfig /install in cmd
So could you please help me how I can fix this issue?

I have a licence for Lion that is sitting on Apples computer somewhere.
How do I access my account and install Lion on my machine?
Beyond that I want to upgrade to Maverick but given I work out the first step upgrading to Maverick should be easy.

OS X Lion could be purchased from the Mac App Store (and now, at the Apple Online Store). Once you purchase it, you can download it as many times as you want for free.
Open  > Software Update, and install the most recent Mac OS X version. It should be Mac OS X 10.6.6 or newer. Then, open the Mac App Store, go to Purchases, log in with your Apple ID and download OS X Lion. Make a backup before upgrading and check that your apps are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com
You can upgrade to OS X Mavericks from Mac OS X 10.6.6 or newer without any problem, so upgrading to OS X Lion first is a waste of time. Open the Mac App Store and download OS X Mavericks

It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly.
