What you could do if you have to stick with CS2 is to have a bootable hard drive that is setup to be on Snow Leopard (10.6). For the times you need to use old software such as InDesign CS2, then restart the Mac and boot from the external hard drive into 10.6 and then you're OK. I use this method for any PowerPC programs I rarely use.

I was able to do this until I updated. I need help fast as I need this feature to complete daily tasks for my job. I've come to a halt with my work because of this.
I have the two files open as shown below. I'm trying to insert the image in the file on the left to the file on the right but when I drag to drop into the file, it doesn't happen.

When I do connect the phone. iTunes says back up was interupted and to click to resume, it just then hangs on time remaining without a number? If I dissconnect during this I get Error (-10) I can then access my phone in iTunes and my phone does work? In iTunes I can see all the things that were on my phone, all the Apps/Music/Phots/Other etc.. with their relevant amount (Music 8.2gb/Apps 2.1gb etc...) in the coloured bar along the bottom, so if I then click Apply you would think it would just copy them to the phone. It doesn't as soon as you click Apply the multi coloured bar and catagories changes just to 'Other' and (1004mb) and only the basics are on my phone. No music, no additional Apps and only Camera Roll, not photos from chosen folder.

i just upgraded the version of my i-phone from 4.3.1 to 5.1.1 did the whole back up thing,a nd all my songs were backed onto my lapptop, thru i-tunes , and now since i no songs on my i-phone i was told i have to go back and transfer my songs back onto my phone. I went back into i-tunes and unkess it literally says transfer songs to phone, i have no idea what to do. I am totally and completely lost. HELP
Your music should be in your iTunes library, and you should be able to sync with iTunes to transfer you music back to your phone. To do this confirm the following:
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize This Computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything looks correct, sync your phone. -

This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service. -

When the update fails what if any error report do you get, specifically? Please do this before trying again:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X. -

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen. -
I have an ipad 2 on ops 4.3 and have just updated to 7.1 via itunes. I backed up first and have synced repeatedly but keep getting a message on my ipdad screen that the ipad is not set up - I chose the set up option restore from itunes back up
To free up hard drive space the best bet is to move data files that you don't need access to all the time. Likely candidates are music, video, and photos. Things like word processing and spreadsheet files can also be moved but they tend not to be very large and so don't free up much space. The problem with moving the above mentioned files is that iTunes and iPhoto need to know where the files are stored.
Here's an article explaining how to move the iTunes folder. You can move the iPhoto library using the Finder but there is a slight complication. Start iPhoto, open the Preferences and click on the Advanced tab. The first option is "Copy items to the iPhoto Library". If this option is checked, copy the iPhoto library to your external folder (drag it from the Pictures folder to your external drive) and then delete it from your Picture folder. If this option is not checked, it is a bit more complicated and we'll need to talk a bit. -
I am running a MAC Yosimite 10.10.1 (latest) and have just updated Lightroom to 5.7 to allow me to manipulate files from my Canon 7D mark 2. When I go from Library to Develop there is no basic adjustments available? I have a histogram but no access to the basic controls as per normal.
How can I get to these?

hope this message finds you all in time. The recent Apple TV update 5.1 is terrible. Apple knows it is which is why (thankfully for some relentless user -I have no idea who but I believe it was under threat) they have allowed to sign 5.0.2 again which means you can downgrade your Apple TV 2 and 3 to a 5.0.2 version via iTunes. Who knows how long they will keep the window open but I have downgraded my ATV early this morning. I couldn't post this earlier because I was out all day but I am doing it now.
Here's how to do it:
1) Connect your ATV to your computer via a Mini USB (not included with ATV but included with many other electronic devices) - in order for your ATV to appear in iTunes you must FIRST plug the USB cable to your computer and ATV and only THEN plug the power cable.
2) Download your ipsw restore file from Apple.
5.0.2 (ATV 2): AppleTV2,1_5.0.2_9B830_Restore.ipsw
5.0.2 (ATV 3): AppleTV3,1_5.0.2_9B830_Restore.ipsw
3) In iTunes select yout ATV, hold SHIFT and click on Restore
4) Find and choose the downloaded IPSW file in the Open Dialog Box and hit Next
5) As long as Apple still signs that version the Restore process will begin and will take a few minutes to complete.

Hi, I have just loaded Lightroom 5 from the disc onto my Mac. every time i try and launch the application, it goes to the registration/licence window. i have input the data five times already. When Lr5 launches the update window appears, when i try to do anything the following message comes up: - An error occrred when attempting to change modules. What do i need to do to fix this?
Masher please use the uninstaller located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once Photoshop Lightroom is removed then please download Lightroom 5.5 from Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 and reinstall.

Hi, I just updated my mac from version10.6 to 10.9.3 os mavericks. i went to open iPhoto and it says "Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade." does this mean I have lost all photos i had in there? It does not give me a choice, it just says quit or upgrade? p.s. i didn't realise ther was a way to back up my computer beforehand, which i am guessing this is time machine?
1. No, you haven't.
2. Back up the iPhoto library(this can be done through Time Machine or by dragging it to a drive, partition, or disk image formatted as Mac OS Extended) and then click Upgrade.
3. Aside from Time Machine and drag-copying items from your home folder, programs such as the Disk Utility, Carbon Copy Cloner, and SuperDuper can make backups.
