I have multiple copies of phantom books in ibooks on my ipad. By phantom I mean, that they appear to be partially downloaded. They will not resume downloading or allow deletion. None of these books are on my mac, they have been deleted. These are books were not purched from the apple store, they are simply book files that I had on my mac. Any ideas on how to rid myself of these pesky epub and pdf files? Thanks Dan

Try deleting iBooks app from your iPad and then download the app again to remove any previous books that were downloaded or attempted to download. Then just download your books purchased again.

No, it's not possible. You will have to acquire another copy of the book in your native language. If you can't find it in the iBookstore, try one of the other stores that also provide free ereader apps, like Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Googlebooks, or Sony. -

'custom' font sounds like you may be working with a font that is unsupported on iOS/iPad.
Supported fonts are found in the pull-down font menu in the toolbar. Authors are obligated (mostly) to stick to that list. -

What do you mean that you've found them but can't access them ? If the ibooks are no longer on your phone but aer still in your country's store then you should be able to redownload them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app - is that what you mean, but it isn't working ?

then import pics to computer

you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

Audio books cannot be redownloaded from the store like other iTunes purchases, see:

How did you migrate the iTunes library from your old computer? Do you still have the old computer or a backup of the old computer? Then look for them in the iTunes Library there.
Any Audio book you have should be in your iTunes Library in the folder
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Audiobooks/
or whereever you have your iTunes library installed

Actually I have 2 problems: I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad). I looked under Ipad, I Books, PDFs, and it doesn't show them on the computer. How do I manually transfer these files?
Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes, and I want to restore it. I want to make sure all of the files are backed up before I restore. My trouble started when I was trying to update my IPad but it was taking too long (internet was scetchy) so I powered off...now Im having problems. I haven't tried to update again since this problem. Any suggestions? Should I restore? Should I update to 7.0.6? (currently 7.0.3).

Select the iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.
Reading the limitations mentioned in the first paragraph I would never trust Apple to permanently keep a copy of your purchases. Once you get them on your iPad immediately download them to your computer and then also to your backup drive. -
i purchased 2 books for my iPad and they downloaded successfully. They show up in iTunes when my iPad is connected to my Mac but do not show up on the Mac. Is this a synch issue? When I click the Synch box I am warned that downloads on my iPad will be erased. Is that true? My ultimate goad is to be able to read the books on my iPhone as well. Thanks.
You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

apple update erased my playlists, they are no longer showing on my iTunes. I am missing songs that do appear in iTunes and should be on the ipod but are not, and new playlists that I didn't have are now where mine should be. Any suggestions as to getting "MY" ipod back?

- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

i have missing songs that i purchased on my old iphone. they are not in my purchased folder. but in itunes store when i look the song up, it has the purchased logo next to it.... but no way to download it
If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup. -
