I have several books on my iPhone that I would like to share with my wife on her iPhone. Different Apple account. Can we share the books? If so, how do we do it?
So how can I share books on my iPhone purchased from the Apple store with my wife's iPhone?
You can only share if she logs in with your account details.

I have 2 iphones 4s's, ones my wife and one is mine. we have different apple IDs, can we share one itunes account?? if so, how??
If you haven't set up your own Apple ID already don't. I suggest you use the same apple ID as your wife's. The alternative is to do this http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848. It's not efficient as you have to swap apple id's to update apps under both IDs. 20/20 being hindsight, I would have never created a 2nd apple ID for my wife.
Hope this helps. -
I have 4 devices, 3 IPhone 4S and 1 IPad. I want to use a different Apple ID for 1 of the 4S's. How do I do so?

How can I convert my music, and CDs to MP3, for use in my vehicle's AM/FM/ Stereo? I have a 16 GB SDHC Card, that I would like to load up with some of my music.
Thanks for any help you can furnish.
EdWell, this question really belongs in the iTunes forum, which is where you will get fast answers.
Just go to iTunes Preferences. Click on the General icon. Set When you insert a CD to Ask to Import CD. Click on Import Settings. Set Import to MP3 decoder. Make sure you're using Good Quality.
This should deal with your CD's.
With your current music, as long as it does not have DRM restrictions (older iTunes Music did), select the song, right click on the song (or group of songs), pull down to Create MP3 version. -
I have movies on my Hard drive that I would like to add to my iPad how do I get them into iTunes to download to my iPad?
READ the article from which the question was posted. Then follow the instructions for importing content to iTunes on the computer.
Once the content is in iTunes, connect the device, select the content desired to sync, and sync. -
I have a PC desktop and an iPad. I have a large library of PDF documents on my desktop that I would like to sync with my iPad. I would like to be able to download new PDF's and make edits on existing PDF's on either device and have those edits and new PDFs synced to the other device. I would also like to have my library available on the iPad even if there isn't a wifi connection (i.e., not on the cloud). Is that possible. I don't mind if I have to purchase a separate product or a product upgrade ect.
You can't use an external hard drive like you would with a computer.
You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
When you first connect the USB flash drive, you will only see thumbnails of the pics on the iPad; you have to import the pic file to see the full size. With your large library of pics, you will have to do this repeateably and then delete pics so you don't exceed your memory capacity.
Cheers, Tom -
I have a whole bunch of CDs that I would like to import into iTunes. If I do that, would the songs still reside on my PC (which would take up too much space), or is there a way to get them "into the Cloud"? Thanks so much
Sign up to iTunes Match, though I'd consider investing in more storage. If space is a problem now then you're probably not backing up your existing media and content, which you should most certainly do.

You do not need to ask the same question twice. Stick with the first post that you started here.

I have some dvds that I would like to watch on my IPad can they be uploaded into ITunes and then viewed on my IPad?
Some commercial DVDs have the ability to purchase straight off of them through the iTunes store. But you must purchase the boxed set for those DVDs to obtain the registration code for purchase. They provide a link straight from the DVD. But otherwise, as Niel says you are basically stuck legally with only being able to make iTunes capable files from your own home made videos. Terms of use do not allow discussing ripping DVDs, so we can't say how its done even if we know how.

My wife currently has two different Itunes account as one is on the old computer with our old email address, Instead of changing the email address on the old account we created a new itunes account with her new gmail address. I just updated the new update for her iphone however I cannot get her contacts etc moved to the new phone as I believe they are all on her old account. It says I need as well to authorize this computer for the itunes store as well but in her account it says one computer authorized (old one) but cannot figure our how to get the new computer authorized as well.
You should be able to authorise the account via the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes (if you are using iTunes 11 on a PC then control-B should get the menus to show)

Is it possible to take a shared calendar and have it appear on a non iOS system like Microsoft Exhange? I would like to view my shared calendar that I have with my wife through my work calendar on my computer. I would like for my alerts to show on my PC when connected in this manner.
Is it possible? You would need to share that calendar diretly to your work exchange account if your work exchange account supports that ability.

Hi, new to the forums and apple tbh.
Moving into a new house and want to set up a sound system, thought apple would be the way to go as I have iPads, iPhones, iPod touch and nanos. I also have a few sets of Bose speakers which I would like to incorporate. What I am wondering is, what else do I need to buy to do this? Do I need seperate devices to attach to each speaker? Do I need a new router? And how would I configure it?
Ideally I would like 4 rooms each with their own speakers that could play simultaneously.
Thanks in advance!!!!First, please check out the following Apple Support article for details on setting up an AirPort Express Base Station (AX) for iTunes streaming. Note: You will need a separate AX for each set of speakers that you want to stream to. Also, note that you can stream a single audio file to one or more speakers, but you cannot stream separate audio files to different speakers simultaneously.
Second, the Bose speakers you mentioned would need to have an audio input jack, either analog or optical digital to receive the stream from the AX. As you know, Bose makes a number of different speaker/home theatre audio options. If your specific model of speakers do, then it's just a matter to use the appropriate audio cable between the audio port of the AX and the speakers. -
I have a first gen iPod Shuffle with its software installed on a Windows XP computer. I installed the software for an iPod Nano, and was then unable to access my music library with the Shuffle. This is not my main issue that my question is about. I would like to be able to use both of these devices on a new Windows7 computer. What, exactly, do I need to do? (ie - deauthorize my old computer, uninstall or install/reinstall iTunes, etc.) Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
"Do I need to deauthorize my old computer first?"
Not unless you want to. You can have up to 5 computers authorized.
" And should I install the Nano's iTunes software, since it is newer than the Shuffle's, before syncing?"
Itunes is itunes. I don't know what you mean by "Nano's iTunes software". You need to install itunes.
"Or, should I just download the most current iTunes software, and then plug in both devices and sync?"
Yes.
Hope all goes smoothly. -
