You should be able to log out of the current one by tapping it on the right-hand side of Settings > Store, and you can then log in with the new one. Any apps that you downloaded with the old id will only be able to get updates via that id - apps are tied to the id that bought/downloaded them, not to the device that they are on, and they cannot be transferred to a different account.

You should be able to reconnect to iTunes and then you should see an option to restore to your ipad from your last back up in iTunes.

iOS uses more memory on the iPhone 5 than the iPhone 4 because there are quite a few more to iPhone 5. Therefore there will be less memory available on the 5. Reluctantly iOS 7, coming this fall, uses a bit less memory than iOS 6 so if you can do without a few apps until then you should be gravy!

HT4236 There HAS to be a way to get photos that were synced from the computer on to the iPad OFF of the iPad in a different way than having to email each individual photo back to oneself. And you can't delete them either, using up vital storage

My Ipad2 has photos synced from my main computer on it, taking up vital storage. I cannot remove them at all, and the folks at the Genius Bar can't help either. Apparently there is no way to remove them unless they were originally taken by the Ipad2 camera. And the only way you can get copies of those photos back on to the computer or another device is to individually email EACH photograph.
There has to be a way to remove these pics to free up the storage.
I almost was unable to load the new operating system because of the amount of photos on the iPad,which ended up on the iPad as a mistake in the first place during an early syncing when it was first purchased.
This is a HUGE glitch in the system. If you know otherwise, please advise!

I realize that this is the era of information overload and you're only trying to protect us, but there's not much to go by in your post...
If you mean that 3rd party apps close immediately after you open them, try downloading another free app from the App Store. This usually fixes this.
If you mean something else, please be specific.

IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. My Mac has 4 mail accounts coming into it, but you are correct, one of them is a POP account, (and unfortunately it is the main @ account, and is the one associated with my apple id, since we've had it for years). I couldn't figure out how to replace this with the Imap version, short of deleting that account entirely.

Connect the iPad to iTunes, and do the update with iTunes.
The 4.1.2 ipsw file will not work, no longer supported.
The incremental update directly on the iPad does not work either, unless you are already on iOS 5.
Let iTunes do the job, you already lost too much time by doing it yourself.

Connect your device to iTunes and do the update through iTunes. Using a computer takes much less space on your device than doing the update on your device.
