has a brandnew screen but when im useing it, it glitches so im thinking the caseing around it is not holding it on to good the home button and volume r pushed in but i have a setting so you dont need them

    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
    Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iOS device connect before?
    Try the following to rule out a software problem:

    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router

    You don't need iTunes Match to have your music in all your devices. iTunes Match is for getting music that you've purchased elsewhere into the cloud. All you need to do is set up each of your devices to your iTunes Store account. You can then download things you've purchased by going to the Purchased section. See:

    Will not power on, or will not turn on unless connected to power
    Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    Connect the iPod touch to an Apple USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    After at least 15 minutes, if the display turns on and…
    The home screen appears, the device should be working. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen: . Then disconnect the device from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
    The low-battery image appears even after the iPod touch has charged for at least 20 minutes: See the "iPod touch displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.

  • HT4356 I no longer have the option to share and print.  It used to be there but no longer but it is still available with other apps, eg, Pages.  Any solution?

  • I have three ipod 4th gen and the latest version of itunes has killed them all

    can anyone help?
    I have had to open the ipods reformat on a pc and reassemle
    then the pc will see the ipod and itunes offers to restore.
    I pick restore then it says connect to a power source to complete the update
    I left it for a day and it still has the connect to power socket picture on the ipod screen
    these were all working ipods until version 11 itunes
    any help greatly appreciated

    You should still be able to manually manage the music on your iPhone within iTunes. Make sure that when your iPhone is plugged in, look in the Summary tab to see if “Manually manage music and videos” is enabled and you can even you turn off Automatically Sync when this iPhone is connected. Take a look at the first article below to give more information on that. As far as your other questions about calling someone, I have provided two options for you.   • I have the ipod 2nd gen. and it is currently locked for 21,808,074 minutes

    One day last year I had turned on my ipod i remember that it froze up and then restarted on its own then once it turned on again it said it was locked for 21,808,074 minutes i then tried everything to unlock it and but nothing worked. Now i have found it again and i want to use it again and i need help trying to fix it. i tried connecting it to itunes, some of my friends said that if i connect it to itunes i can restore it, but whenever i enter itunes it reads that it cannot connect to itunes because it it is currently locked and it tells me to enter my passcode to access it however i cant and i did the math to find out 21,808,074 minutes is about 41 years!

    Make sure itunes is up to date.
    Open itunes, connect ipod.  If there is an update it available ti will prompt you to update.  You can also click the Check for Updates button in the middle of the screen.

  • I have an ipod 4th gen. and it locked itself for 23 million minutes. I know how to clear everything off of it, and return it to factory settings, but I want to check and make sure I'm backed up by itunes or icloud first. How would I check?

    I need to find a way to make sure I'm backed up by icloud or itunes before it's reset.

    For iTunes backup go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and look at the date of the late backup.
    For iCloud backup you have to have another iOS device signed int iCloud and then go to Settings>iCloud>Backup and look.
    If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:
    Disabled Recovery-must use syncing computer.

    Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
