You can sync music and videos from multiple computer/iTunes library if you sync manually. Manually syncing is included here:

Yes.
You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod: File>transfer Purchases -
HT5312 I tried to download a song but Apple is saying I have not used this computer before
I tried to download a song but Apple is saying I have not used this computer before and that in order to downloas the song I need to "verify my identity" by answering some securiry qiestions.
This is wrong because I have downloaded scored of songs on this computer but I answered the security queations anyway, only to be told I have answered incorrectly.
But the anwers were correct.
Anyone any ideas what might be happening?
Thank you.Have you re-installed or updated the OS on that computer ? There have also been the occasional post from other people when it hasn't been the first purchase.
If it's not accepting your answers then the page that you posted from has instructions for how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down that page should give you a reset link.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use -

ITunes On New Computer Won't Sync To iPod Touch
A couple months ago I got a new laptop. I was able to transfer all my songs over from the iPod Touch (5th Generation) to the computer successfully (including plays w/ a program I downloaded). I made changes to the library since then (deleting some songs and adding some new ones). Today for the first time since I got the new laptop, I tried to sync iTunes (updated) to the iPod 3 times but it wouldn't make any changes. I've yet to update the iOS (my iPod is 2 iOS's behind). If anyone can help, thank you in advance.
You can only sync with one computer/iTunes library. To make this your syncing computer:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
If ll the synced media like apps and music are on the new computer, just backup to iTunes and restore from that backup
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes -
Hi I had this problem before and you helped fix it. I just bought an updated Iphone and now it says my itunes purchases are disabled. They also put spelled my name wrong and I do not have any mail coming thru. Please help me!!!!
We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If your account is disabled (I assume that it what you mean by 'my itunes purchases are disabled') then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
If you aren't receiving the email to your rescue email account then you can contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country via this page and see if they can enable it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
Not sure what you mean by 'they also spelled my name wrong' - where are you seeing it ? Your name should be appearing how you entered it. -
"An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPod with the contents of this iTunes library."
I used to use my desktop computer for all my iPod and iTunes needs, but it's Windows XP so I no longer use it. I now have a Windows 8.1 laptop which I want to use for my iPod. Photos can be backed up but I have a lot of game progress and iMessages that I don't want to lose. You will lose your app data unless you backup to the new computer and then restore from backup will all the app in the iTunes library of the new computer.

Try this:
1. Sync to your Windows XP desktop so you do not lose anything.
2. Turn on Sharing.
3. Import your iTunes data from the Windows XP to your Windows 8.1 through Sharing.
4. Connect iPod to Windows 8.1 laptop, erase and re-sync.
5. You lose nothing.

i have windows 7 and a2nd gen ipod touch and i just aquired an ipod classic which is a 5th gen from 2005 with a 30 gb capacity. can i download a video movie or episode and songs from the current itunes i use for my ipod touch or is there a different one i should use? please help.
You can plug the iPod into the same iTunes library as your iPod Touch and sync whatever content you like to it. There is no limilt to the number of iPads, iPhones, or iPods you can sync with one iTunes library, account, or computer. How you sync one device will not affect the syncing preferences of the other.

when I was setting up a JAM speaker , under the blue tooth slide bar , I pushed ignore this device. Now the speaker is not discoverable....How can I reverse this action to set the speaker
Hello skywalker eyedoc,
If you chose to "forget" a device in the bluetooth settings, you'll simply need to put that device back into pairing mode (or "discovery" mode) for the iPod touch to find it once more. You may need to refer to the bluetooth speaker's documentation or manufacturer for information on how to do so.

i just bought an ipod touch version 4.3 software and it has a passcode on it and i don't know it, so i tried to reset it thru itunes but since it wasn't set up on my computer it says it cannot recognize it until i enter the passcode to unlock it, what can i do?
Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and restore via iTunes. If no backup you will have to restore to factory settings/new iPod. To redownload iTunes purchases:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If not successful, try DFU mode.

My computer is really slow, so I want to change the computer that I sync my ipod to. What is the easiest way to change computers and get all my apps, music, pics, books etc. to the new computer for syncing?
Assuming that there is enough storage space on your iPod to hold all of your songs, the most direct way would be to combine all of the song files from your various computers to the computer you wish to use as your main library and sync all. If you don't still have all of the files that are currently on your iPod for what ever reason, there are programs that can copy non-store purchases from iPod to computer, which will allow you to follow my first suggestion. Search this forum for recommendations of which programs will work for your setup. iTunes Store purchases can be downloaded again if you have the log-in and password, but there is a limited number of times you can do that. If you have run out of authorizations, you can de-authorize all devices once per year. There is more to this than I can tell you now, so search the forum for that info too.
One thing to be careful of is that iTunes may ask you when you first hook up your iPod to a computer that is not the same as the last computer it synced to is whether you want to sync to it now. If you say yes, it will delete all of the content on your iPod and sync what ever you have iTunes set up to sync. You will want to say no to this prompt if you see it unless you have first gathered all of your song files into the new library. -
hi
my son has disabled his ipod touch and has forgotton the pass code, i have followed all the websites and got it into dfu mode but when itunes is restoring it back to its factory settings it is telling me that there are about 35 hours to go and then an error message comes up saying a problem with uploading and that my network isnt working (which is wrong) and to try again......donr this about 10 times now and everytime get the same error message......any help would be much appreciated
cheers
PaulAsk him if he has 'jailbroken' the ipod touch. Some jailbreaking firmware resets it to Ipad firmware and so it is very difficult to restore as itunes simply doesnt recognise it for what it is. It's Apple's solution to try and stop mass jailbreaking.

ok - my ipod touch is stuck on the itunes screen. Have tried shutting it off, plugging it into my windows computer, and it does recognize that it's there. it goes to restore mode, then immediately goes to restore and update. then back to restore mode, then an error message. don't know where to go from here, any suggestions?
