I installed an update of firefox this morning and now it won't open. I have tried to remove it and re-install it and although the icon remains, nothing happens when I click on it.
I was prompted to install an update this morning which I did. After that, Firefox will not open at all. I click the icon and nothing happens. I tried uninstalling it and then re-installing it with no results.

In any case, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.

Another method to eject a disk if to enter the following command into the Terminal application
drutil eject
followed by the Enter or Return key. -
I bought an ipad2 bought scrabble app worked for 1day and now app won't work????
Have you tried closing the app completely and seeing whether it works properly when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the scrabble apps 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
itunes had a upgrade and it said it failed and i have tryed to uninstall and then reinstall , i havve run a reoair program and nothing seems to work. any ideas

SatiyaThe icon in the dock is just a pointer (alias) to the application, not the application itself. If that pointer gets confused or broken the app won't open. Right click (control-click) the dock icon, select Options, then select Show in Finder. This should reveal the iTunes application in your Applications folder. Double click the actuall iTunes application and see if it opens. You could also open the Applications folder and see if iTunes is still there.

i just updated the facebook app for my ipod touch and now it wont open and i tried restarting the ipod and also re downloading the app several times and nothing.. any help? thanks!

all my info is on the phone it won't let me go further and no don't mention the cloud before you ask. I have no idea what cloud is or how to get stuff on there. I just want my phone and contacts and messages and photos back. Help please

are you using the same iTunes account? If no, did you authorize iTunes with his account info again before you connected his phone?
To keep your accounts separate on one PC, create a new windows user, log in, disable autosync in iTunes, set up the second account and back up manually by right clicking on the device in the device list and choosing "backup". Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer. Music, unless bought in iTunes and transferred with your purchases, is not part of the backup. Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your phone got wiped during the first sync.

You can still backup your library without opening Aperture.
Your Library is typically in your Pictures folder while the application is in your Applications folder.
So you should backup your Library first (drag it to an external HD to copy it or use a Vault) and then try the procedures on the Troubleshooting Basics page. -

If it is the third party apps crashing - try downloading another app - any free app is fine. See if that resets the other apps.

Two days ago my Safari was updated to 6.0 and now it won't open. Heasder says, "Safari quit unexpectedly." Reinstalling OSX10 twice and then updating did not help. Apple support is unable to help.
Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last Safari crash for clues.
Or just have Console open when you try to open Safari. -
Prior to installing the latest update for Firefox this morning, all was well, but since that time, when I go to Farmville, it won't allow me to open my giftbox, barns, inventory, or bakery. It was fine until then. I tried Internet Explorer, (which I hate that browser with a passion) but it allowed me to do those things. I restarted and rebooted and it didn't help the problem. Is there anyway to undo ONLY the last update to Firefox?

Just for the record, I was having this problem with older versons of Firefox also. It just happened recently and, with the help of this forum (thanks cor-el) suggesting to open Firefox in safe mode and checking add ons, I found the problem. It was the recent update of Mcafee Site Advisor. If you have Mcafee Site Advisor as an add on, disable it and see if that helps. It worked for me.
To disable this add on,
Go to:
Tools/Add ons/Extensions and click: "disable" for this add on and restart Firefox. Hope it works for you too.
P.S. To uninstall Site Advisor altogether, you must do that through Windows Add/Remove Programs. -
I installed Lion and now CS4 won't open. I get a note that sayd "you need to install Java runing, but you are not connected to the internet (BUT I AM CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET).
